[Day 4 - MM] Force Reduction

[13th Sister]

The 13th Sister approached the Mandalorian encampment on foot with a squad of fifteen or so storm troopers. In her old life she never had a high opinion of these cretins and that had only increased in her elevation. The barged past the guards and said, “I seek whoever leads this group of so-called Mandalorians, immediately.”

Daunt was nearby, returning from the morning hunt, riding on his meat-packed speeder toward Rygor...

[Sacha Ordo]

Sacha emerged from the Enclave after cleaning up from hunting... Only to spot someone she didn't know... who had Empire written all over her and her cadre of Stormtroopers. Great, these chuckleheads... She narrowed her eyes under her helmet at the 13th Sister. It was a feeling not too far from standing in front of the hostile vornskrs.

She headed back in to get Horus. She stayed calm.

[Dapper Dog]

Horus emerged from the cabin and approached and said, “I can speak for the people, if any of us can. Speak your business stranger and know we do not take such intrusions lightly. We have brought no conflict to you and yours.”

The 13th Sister replied, “We do not seek conflict Mandalorian, but we do wish to extend the friendship of the Empire to your people.”

“We are seeking criminals and dissidents that support this disastrous Resistance and the traitorous sorcerous order of the Jedi. Your people have proven themselves capable hunters, and your people will be well compensated for their services.”

She glanced at Sacha and added, “This is the Way, yes?”

[Dapper Dog]

Horus replied gruffly, "We will consider this offer, if that is all?"

"Who is this one?" she said looking at Sacha.

Sacha resisted the urge to step back at the sudden attention. It was not comfortable. "Sacha Ordo. Why?" What did this woman want with her?

"I sense a great destiny about you, Sacha Ordo," the woman replied. "For all of Mandalore's children as long as they serve the interests of the Empire."

Because that's gone so well so far... "Interesting. Do you need anything else?" Once again, their traditional helmets showed their utility in hiding expression. It let her be a stone wall.

She approached Sacha and said, “I believe we have an understanding and if we don’t then we will return, and that conversation will be far less polite. If you see any of these criminals, wizard or resistance, we advise you to act swiftly.”

The Imperial Inquisitor added to Horus, “I trust you will do what is best for you and yours.”

13th Sister turned on her heels and added to Sacha, “May you live in interesting times, Sacha Ordo.”

[Dapper Dog]

"We will not be cowed, and you have said your piece, now go in peace," he responded.

Why are you talking to me like I make any decisions around here?

"Indeed," she replied in agreement with Horus, trying to minimize the edge in her voice.

[Dapper Dog]

The Empire departed.

[Sacha Ordo]

"... I don't like it," Sacha said bluntly after they were well and gone.

[Dapper Dog]

"The Empire has never bothered with us before," he said gruffly. "This does not bode well for the enclave. More importantly she has an interest in you, any reason why?"

The tone seemed to suggest he had a thought or two on that matter.

[Sacha Ordo]

"I wonder if they're getting desperate with whatever they're after?"

She let the silence linger a moment before answering. "We might as well address it directly. I'm showing abilities not unlike the people she's searching for. You saw it yourself, and I... can do that consistently, it seems. It's not the first time it's shown up among us." She looked toward where she left. "I guess she picked up on it."

[Dapper Dog]

Horus nodded and said, "What would you do then, Child of Ordo, for the enclave?"

[Sacha Ordo]

She grit her jaw under her helmet. It felt like he expected something in particular. "I have some thoughts, but I'm curious what you would suggest?" Will you treat me like an outsider now?

[Dapper Dog]

“I would say get back to work and we will handle this as we always have, that is the Way,” he gestured to the forge.

“Plenty of work that needs doing.”

[Sacha Ordo]

She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding and the tension left her shoulders as she nodded. She turned toward the forge, steeping back up to her work. "... Yeah. That is the Way."

"... I'll do whatever I can for the enclave. I just don't know what that is yet." I wonder if there's something I can do to get scrutiny away from them... If that woman's eyes are on me...

“I suspect you will, child of Ordo,” he said. He then looked in the direction of the Empire and added, “The enclave will stand with you.”

[Sacha Ordo]

"I understand." She nodded, wiping away something beneath her helmet with one gloved finger. "This is the Way."
