(D6 LE) For the Future

Sacha Ordo rested on a piece of driftwood on the beach, looking out onto the dark ocean. It was amazing how endless it could look from this perspective. Just like her armor had seemed like an end goal... Now it was just the beginning of something much bigger for her.
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, watching her thoughts go by as she began practicing meditation as she'd learned from Juri and Petrus. Feeling the world around her that was so much bigger than she originally thought as she breathed deeply, letting her feelings expand beyond herself with each breath.

Dak had come down to the beach for a bit to relax before the mission and he got way too cramped up staying in the base for too long.
Seeing the familiar armored form he approached and spent a little time looking out at the waters wordlessly. After a stretch he spoke "Its crazy what's going on right? How fast things have progressed?"

After coming back from her little foray into space to make a call Jenna came back to the base and did some more work. As the day had sauntered on the work flow slowed but the emotions of it all started to come crackling up to the surface. People wept, people sobbed. people cried out in anger at their newfound situation but people like Jenna went around and talked to them all. Sorted out their worries, their fears, gave them an ear to listen and maintained their calm despite the harshness of their own situations. It was, after all, sometimes the most that one could do.
Sometimes the most that anyone needed to do.
Coming out the other side of this work, however, Jenna came up to the beach. Leaving her boots behind she walked the sand with bare feet and followed around the edge of the water for a spell. Looking at the horizon, where dark ocean and dark sky became one and melted into oblivion.
Eventually she found herself some ways further down the beach than Sacha and Jurdak, noticing two familiar faces and only one of which she felt some uncertainty over, she elected to pad a soft approach over the sand and along the water towards them. Finally coming to a stop, twisting, and plopping herself down onto the sand some little space away from the two.
"Not interrupting, am I?"

It took some time for Sacha to come out from... wherever she was mentally. Finally, she looked toward Jurdak, and then up at Jenna. "Yeah... Things have changed so much in just a few days... And a few weeks ago, I was thinking of my armor as the culmination of my journey and the start of a new one... not just one more step into something much bigger."
She looked up and Jenna. "You're not interrupting."

Dak nodded at Sacha's words "I dont think many of us expected to be where we are now at the end of something, at the start of something much bigger."
As Jenna approached Dak gave her a smile "Jax wasnt it? Or d you go by Jenna around these parts?" His voice was warm and only slightly teasing. "You're not interrupting at all, we were just discussing the insanity that our situations have become."

"That's good," she said, laying her head back and looking up at the sky, caring little for how much sand got into her hair apparently. Was probably the least of her worries, lately, she figured. "After today, Jax, Jenna, doesn't much matter probably. Only Jenna to my friends though and.." she glanced over at Jurdak, "I'm not sure about you yet."
A break, not even a second of a pause, "Hey Sacha," she said with a marked warmer tone.

Dak made a face of mock offense "Man how many times does a guy have to risk his life for a good cause to move to at least an ok column. You're a harsh woman Jenna."

"So is Vandil," she said, a shrug, "sorry, been working on the trust thing but seeing as I met you in her company, 'specially with how friendly you two seemed. Guessing it's gonna be hard to beat that, ain't it?" she said with a smirk. "Still, you helped me find my brother that one time so.." she shrugged, "and you're here, of all places, same as me and same as Sacha over there, can't be all bad. Though-" so was that Zabrak.

"I'm friendly with everyone Jenna, just kind of who I am. Trust me no love lost between me and Vandil. People like that love having their ego stroked, you ever actually see me do one of her jobs?" He asked with a raised eyebrow "It doesnt happen often, but I pay lip service to being on her retainer cause I have to."

Sacha watched the back and forth between them for a few minutes before responding, "Hey. How're you holding up?"

"No need to explain yourself, just, explaining mine," she said, waving it off. Still, maybe the fact he felt the need to explain himself was enough to reduce her worry some. Then again he still did show up, and get invited, which meant he was about something but that something was yet a mystery.
After today, it wasn't one she cared much to force through and solve. Looking back to Sacha with a smile, she countered, "Helluva life, heard the toppers were coming through packed up, took my brother, got some others and now we're all here. Guess we live out of a ship now," she shrugged, "not sure what that means for future gatherings for my brother's favorite show," she smirked.

"They might be pretty cramped," she noted. "Still, we'll have to find some way to make it happen."
"Don't know if Petrus told you what happened, but we moved, as well."

"No he," she grimaced for a moment but let it fade, "he's apparently forgotten to tell me a few things that have happened of late. Busy, I suppose, what with the constant threats to his safety."

"It's fine. It's not like it's something that affects anyone here personally besides Dak here, Floats, and me." She looked over to him. "Dak actually helped us, even though he has every reason to hate my people."
"The quick and dirty is the Empire tried to make us an offer we couldn't refuse, and we refused anyway. They attacked. A lot of casualties, but we won. Had to leave the Enclave and settle elsewhere."

"Ahh ahh ahh I never said I liked your people. I like you" he said pointing to Sacha "and I dislike the empire more than I dislike mandalorians." He had a somewhat serious tone but his eyes twinkled with a little mirth.

"I never said you liked them. But you did help them and fight the Empire, and you were pretty damn brave doing it when you didn't have to," she replied simply. After a beat, she added, "So there."

Daunt was in the mood for some beach intermission, so he came to enjoy it just in his warrior's loincloth. He nodded to known people on the way, but before anything he wanted a swim to get his muscles pumping. The swoleness hadn't come from nothing, and on Savareen it had just been sand and sea.

"That's fair I suppose. But I did it for you not for them just wanted to make that clear." He said with a smile.
He saw Daunt and waved to the big man but made no move to intercept his bee line for the ocean waters.

What do we say to the Butterfly God? Strokes today. Daunt was a believer.

"Seems you're quite the helper then," Jenna said, looking at Jurdak, "bit of a fighter too if you were able to keep up with the Mandalorian, and, for me and my brother.. thanks, for being there for Sacha."

Sacha held up her hands in defeat. "Understood. You were doing it for me, and I appreciate it."
She smiled at Jenna. They weren't incredibly close, but she appreciated both of the siblings' concern for her well being.
Her eyes were drawn briefly to Daunt heading out into the water, however.

Dak shrugged "Sacha is a friend and I have skills that can help her so I did so. Plus shes got a lot of work left to do for me, couldn't let her get herself killed." He said giving her a light, playful shove.
He looked to Jenna "So you here just watching your brother or are you a believer in the cause?" Last time he had seen her interact with the resistance it was to dissuade her brother from going on a mission.

"So you did manage to save that armor! I was wondering," she said before quieting to let Jenna answer.

Dak nodded emphatically "Oh course you think I would have left something that was that expensive behind?" He had donned the armor and snuck out of his cabin with everything he could carry moments before his cabin was fire bombed.

Jenna went to speak but then went mum when Jurdak chimed in again, "Part of it now, whether I'm a believer or not having a brother hunted means I was too. Nothing for me back there anyway. Believer or no, I'm here," she said, figuring it was still worth the answer.
