Healing and the Force (D8 ME)

[Qareme Torth]

With the trial finished, and Neelas future somewhat secured (although what would happen during that was still an unknown...) Qareme decided she was now able to have her wounds looked at. It also meant visiting her friend, which was an additional bonus.

She entered the medical area, and looked out for Juri as she walked through.

The Witch had returned from her expedition into the Sky Tree Sea, returning to the med bay. She was rolling her shoulders, stretching slightly as she moved about the medbay in sensible flats. Feeling that presence, she turned, her hands clasped in front of her. A very soft smile as she saw the Zabrak woman.

"Good evening Qareme." She stepped closer, looking up. "How are you?"

Qareme gave the woman a smile and a bow.

"Juri. It is lovely to see you. I hope you are well."

From this closer point it was easier to see she'd been shot at a few times at least.

"I have had a very eventful day. I hate to bother you my friend but I have a few wounds that need a little tending to, if you are able."

[Verse Aura]

Not long after Qareme came in, so too did Verse. Great minds and all that... or more like Jedi living dangerous lives.

Verse looked *different* somehow. Oh sure, she looked banged up and all, and obviously in need of having her injuries looked after; medical droid attention had been decent enough, but that had been hours ago and clearly they hadn't managed to be as much help as a certain witch might be. But no, what was different about it?

Oh, right. The left hand she waved at them both with wasn't her usual left hand. It was in fact a prosthetic hand and forearm. It might possibly have been of a fairly antique design, even. Not any different functionally from your basic replacement limb of today's make, but a trained eye might noticed the peculiarity.

"Hey," she said, simply. As if it was all that needed to be said.

(Verse has 4 health out of 19 left intact, one crit remaining (Crit 103 - Maimed) - though she's got a new hand there)

"No, of course." She smiled at Qareme as she was about to open her medkit. Then she saw Verse. She could feel the injury before she saw it. Her eyes wide, she immediately moved to the mirialan.

Her hands raised, she reached out, feeling the flow of life with the Force. An ethereal greenish glow emerged from her eyes and fingertips, as she danced them around Verse's head. Light flowed through her as she pushed out.

"Be at peace, Verse. I am... so sorry you lost your hand." Her fingers wrapped around where the prosthetic was attached at her wrist. Patting gently. "That should alleviate the pain."

"Oh, pretty," she said at the appearance of the glow. Its appearance, or the slowly fading pain, perhaps more likely the words Juri offered, elicited a gentle smile.

"Don't worry about it. The new hand seems to work just as well," she said, "besides, a Jedi does not linger on such loss. But thank you. For doing this so often. Someone should up your salary."

She held her forearm up and pulled her sleeve back, the prosthetic actually reaching most of the way up to the elbow; the pain was rapidly subsiding, leaving behind only the burn marks where it's attached.

She chuckled, patting the prosthetic again, and moving back to Qareme, looking over her shoulder to the mirialan.

"What I do, I do because it is right. Not because I get paid." The Witch beamed, before grabbing her kit, and looking to Qareme.

"I'm sorry. I felt that injury and had to do my best." She whispered, before tending to the Zabrak's injuries.

"That's good," she said, smiling, "because I don't actually have any money to pay you with."

"Then just owe me a favor." She laughed, returning to the Mirialan, beginning to treat the wounds. Using standard techniques, it was a smooth and efficient process.

"You probably have more credits than I do, Verse." Zerras entered the med area. "I can do favors, though."

Juri nodded. "Let's get a look at you." She smiled to the newcomer, and began assessing.

"Juri. Nice to meet you." She was soft as she spoke, beginning to treat the wounds with precision. Salves and medicines pulled from the kit, as she applied them as a balm, followed by bandages.
