Tune to the Right Station (Heist)
Rules: This is a role play thread and heist thread, the players have a total of 8 rolls they can make to complete the heist the first four rolls are at Average and the next four are at Hard and no skill check can be repeated by the Heist team. Players should label their Heist rolls and they get two Heist successes if they fail a roll and the Heist rules apply.
Players need to complete 5 rolls successfully to complete the Heist without having to shoot their way out, and once a Heist success is used it cannot be used again on the next roll. Imperial presence is high in the bunker, so gain a setback die for their presence there.
The objective is to get the Engineering section to shut down the defenses. Open to four players.
OOC: This is worth 15 Contribution Points.

The Resistance used a stolen shuttle during the conflict to put their team on the station dressed as Storm Trooper and officer personnel. It was their job to get to Engineering and disable the defenses to leave the station ripe for attack… could lightning strike twice?
The team was ready.

Bowze knew the layout if the place in and out thanks to his military knowledge so it would make sense that he'd be present. One problem...he was a fairly tall stormtrooper but that was not *that* uncommon, no?
''Everyone ready?'' he called in their private comm channel

"I believe as ready as is possible given the circumstances Bowze." Xanna checked that her comms were functioning correctly then smoothed down the Officer's uniform one more time.
"I find myself wondering if we should have brought that last batch of stew. You never know when in might come in handy." She flashed a sly smile and then returned to practicing her best sardonic, unimpressed facial expressions.
Has: Military pouch with stims, selected tools clipped to belt, knife, glow rod, communicator. (Stolen blaster pistol? Not like she would use it anyway)

''Is this your first undercover operation Miss Xanna?'' Bowze asked on a business tone as he checked his equipment

"No, but it has been several years." Her former Master had been a Shadow and was always pulling this sort of thing against the Srparatists. Bowze did not need to know that bit.

Astin had never really been part of a mission like this before, generally speaking he waited outside in somehing fast and drove away when it was called for. Not that he had even done that more then a few times. Stifiling a yawn he looked between the other two, they seemed to have a little bit of experience with criminal activtie, though admittedly it was suprising coming from Xanna.

"Gosh, sneaking into imperial bases in a fancy stormtrooper disguise is real habit forming! I wonder if it's the nice uniforms...."
Floats gives Astin a friendly shoulder bop when he yawns
"Head in the game Mr Astin, head in the game!"

"I'm alright, shuttles are just boring if you're not driving and their is no one to flirt with." AStin replied with a shrug. "Ain't nothing for it but a nap, I'll be ready to go when everything is ready." He scratched as his chin and adjusted his hat. Maybe he should of shaved?

"We're going on a suicide mission, that ain't boring! That's like, the straight opposite of boring."
Some people's children.

That recieved a shake of his head as AStin sttretched. "After the first couple suicide missions the all start feeling a bit the same. Not that I've been on all that many, but most of the crew has."
"Now if there was a high speed chase involved? I'd be up and at em."

Floats grumbles about 'darn cowboys' and lapses into thought about whether she should be over suicide missions by now as well.

There was a sigh
Jedi
"Miss Xanna, I would drop the officer uniform in favor of a stormtrooper armor. All of them are human...and you are visibly not."

The space station was busy with Imperial shuttle craft coming and going as their shuttle touched down in hangar Thrant-6 alongside several Imperial shuttles. They had clearance to land and now hard part began.
May the Force be with them.

Now that they were inside the facility it was a matter of coming across the right credentials to proceed further. They didn't let just anyone in the depths of the station after all.
Spotting a likely target in the crowd, Astin made his way over, using the tried and true accidental bump to grant a chance for him to get what he needed. "My apologies, Ma'am." He offered letting the country slide out of his voice, for a common core accent as he ducked down to help her pick up a few things she dropped. "Let me help you with those."
Day 9 En tune to the right station Heist, skulduggery, boost from cis, boost from xanna, average, setback:
1eP+2eA+2eB+2eD+1eS 2 successes, 3 advantage, 1 Triumph

Astin did a wonderful job on aquiring the credentials required to proceed further but credentials where not enough. They provided a cover but one that could be blown with easy if investigated by any officer, event low ranking ones.
Thankfully the Imperial war machine, while oiled, was not using the right kind of stuff. This was fully exploitable when a petty officer and a few troopers tried to double check their identities.
''You think this is time for paperwork officer? We are here on the Admiral's orders: The station needs to be fully battle ready and if we don't get through she will have your sorry ass shot into space.'' He said in is trained commanding tone ''Now take your men and rush to reinforce the main guns!''
3rd Heist roll, leadership, boost from command, boost from Austin, boost from CIS, Imperial setback:
2eA+1eP+2eD+3eB+1eS 3 successes, 3 advantage, 1 Triumph

Now that their credentials were arranged and for a moment the imperials were distracted, it was time to get past the first secure door.
Floats makes a show of going to put in the passcode while also surreptitiously jiggling a little screwdriver into the machinery
Day 9, Tune to the right station, mechanics average, heist roll 1:
1eP+2eA+2eD+1eS 0 successes, 1 advantage
And nothing happens, the Nautolan jiggles at it again fiercely before muttering something grumpily under her breath
"They reset my passcode, again. I hate when they do that, I mean, how do you even enter non-alphanumeric symbols on a 9 digit keypad?"
Day 9, Tune to the right station, mechanics roll, missed boosts from Bowze/CIS:
2eB 1 success, 1 advantage
The guard on duty nods, his 'Palpatine6969' passcode having been rejected only the day before, and kindly opens the door for the rest of the group, yay imperial solidarity!

With Floats getting them easily...gracefully...successfully through the main security door it was onwards and inwards for Team Triumph. But why were two officers and two Stormtropers headed towards engineering? A couple of curious looks from technicians deserved a bit of good, old fashioned, honest trickery.
"You there! Technician. The one giving me the stink eye. What is your name?
Jenkins you say? Very good. Now then Jenkins, can you explain to me why a Captain, a Lieutenant, and two Stormtroopers are being stymied when we are having to carefully inspect both the main and back up power generators for the station's defenses? No ma'am? Is it because I am blue? Is it? Because we could be attacked at any moment you dolt!"
She shook her head in feigned disbelief and stared at him until he muttered some sort of suggestion. "Yes Jenkins. I do think you should take us directly to the emergency back up generator first. Then you can go back to your room and consider whether a career in the military is really for you."
A suitably chastened Jenkins led them to the emergency backup before going home to rethink his life choices.
Day 9. EN. Station Heist - Deception roll. Hard diff. Influence. Boost from CIS and Floats. Setback.:
3eA+2eB+2eF+3eD+1eS 2 successes, 3 advantage, 1 Light Side, 1 Dark Side
Light pip for another advantage.
Success with Two boosts to next roller!

''Of course it is...I planned it'' the nemoidian said, a bit wounded by the comparison, while looking for an alternative route to their ship.
