Yusandr shouted to the people as the storm cleared, “We got incoming! Weggs get this crate moving, everyone else we need to get this transport dugout. It’s a good day for the Resistance and the Force is with us!”

She grabbed a trencher and moved to start digging!

Mia wrapped her cloak around her face and got to digging. She was a workhorse for it, but she did feel like she could have done a better job.

"Keep your blaster ready!" she shouted over to Dove, "Hopefully we won't need it."

Sinnya tucked her trousers into her boot tops--the black sand got everywhere, and if it came to a fight she didn't want to be distracted by a sock full of it--before getting to work shifting the blown sand away, angling her shovel strokes so the stuff would naturally collapse downhill away from the transport.

"The faster we get out of here, the happier I'll be."

It was hot, and the pressure was on; but Verse went to the task of trying to dig the transport out. Thankfully, she had a lot of strength, surprising given her size. Still, the storm had been pretty bad, and it was slow going.

"I hate sand!" She yelled as a shovel's worth of sand got blown back into her face from a light gust.

Ru'ni didn't waste any time. He positioned himself on the opposite side to Sinnya, trying to keep up with her impressive efforts. Spurred on by pride and the urgency of the incoming enemy forces, he managed to dig quick enough to keep the vehicle level as they finally exposed the last thruster.

"Should be all clear ladies and gentlemen. Someone want to see if the engine will turn over?"

OOC: Flip a Destiny for the next three rollers, but gain a boost die because Weggs is pretty and smart.

Dove had donned the armor of one of the troopers, sans the helmet, and had the rifle nearby as she took the co-driver seat with the gearhead-guy. As they got the all-clear from the diggers, she hit the pedal to the metal to get the vehicle moving.

It was very effective.

"We got movement, guys!"

"Alright then, time to get this tub out of here." Astin replied with a grin as he took the controls and punched it. Part of him wondering just how much he could really get out of the old bird.

Punch it! Average piloting planetary. DESTINY both ways, Two boosts from Dove. One boost from Weggs being pretty.: 3eP+3eB+1eC+1eD 3 successes, 2 advantage

Quite a lot as Team Resistance gets the hell out of the Desert!

The Empire is sadly too slow to catch them!

Victory!

OOC: Feel free to RP if you like but you are out of harm's way.

Spotting Dove 'redistributing' one of the rifles, Ru'ni does the same. Although he had little idea how to use it, the exiles at the conclave might be able to get some creds for it.

Ducking into the vehicle, he is both pleased and surprised at how well this motley crew worked together under the stress of the situation.

"Wooo!" Dove exclaimed as they let the Imps eat their dust and Astin let them soar away at top speed. "Great job, guys! We should get drinks sometime."

"After all that sand, even water would be welcome. Although I sense that is not what you intended?" Ru'ni answered as he laid down the gun and looked to Yusandr and Weggs.

"I don't suppose our new friends know more about what the hell is going on around here?"

"I did mean something with a bit more kick than just water, Pecs, but sure, water for those who want that too." Dove cast an appriciative glance at Ru'ni's impressive physique. That had been some impressive shovelling earlier from him and the others.

Weggs squealed with glee, “That actually worked, I figured we had a 60% chance of pulling that off but we did it! That was really great, go team… umm… Force?”

“Need a better name but great job everyone!”

She bopped Astin on his head, “Now don’t scratch my new baby, the Resistance is gonna need her!”

" I do not think many of the fermented animal milks of the Orosini find their way to the bars. I may be in need of a recommendation as to a suitable drink. I would not wish to offend with non conformity to this tradition." Ru'ni offers Dove a smile and the traditional crossed arm gesture of thanks and greetings as he too noted her obvious physical appeal.

Sinnya let out a victory crow as the transport got airborne and sped away, leaping up to slap her hand against the low interior ceiling—and then tumbling, laughing to catch herself against the bulkhead when their acceleration kept increasing faster than she’d expected.

“If you’ve never had Black Sands cactus moonshine you don’t know what you’re missing!” For better... or for worse.

Ru'ni nods and files away the name of the drink for later.

"I have business in town this afternoon, well I guess I HAD business yesterday I suppose, but I'm going to try to resolve it today. Is there a place one can seek out this moonshine in town tonight? I don't get around much other than between the Aznuri Enclave and my homeland."

Mia hopped on board and nudged Dove with her elbow. "Nice getup. Not sure if you could pass for a stormtrooper but it might come in handy," she said. She then looked at the rest of the gear and then frowned. "Where are we even going to store all this?"

"Figured I'd stuff it under my bed. Or yours," she chuckled. "I know I'm way too pretty to pass as an Imperial soldier, but well, I think we will find a use for this. And you said you wanted something heavier, didn't you?"

"Not Imperial blasters though. These things scream stolen," Mia remarked, looking at the looted weapons. "It doesn't matter if we're shooting them already, though."

"A few scratches just add Character." He replied to the young woman with a playful wink. "Plus the old bird is going to need a bit of work anyways. A new paint job among other things. As Dove and Mia are saying. Everything here is looking stolen as can be."

"Course with time and parts and enough paint that can change." He smiled at the controls, a mischievous gleam in his eyes. "Plus, I haven't even really tested her engines yet. I can feel she has more in her if I can coax it out."

She narrowed her eyes and said, “Okay… I see your game, I accept. You can take me out for a date, I am not usually this open but my last boyfriend got crushed by a bantha and well… you know I am free.”

“As our first date it will be at my garage and we are going to fix this little girl, and by girl I mean the transport. Don’t you get any ideas, well you can get some!”

“But keep them wholesome! I am a lady.”

Qareme had assisted where she was able to, but the more able bodies of the resistance group had done the lions share of the work. Once they were airborne, Qareme had sat down with her eyes closed, listening to the conversations around her. One in particular jumped out at her, and she tilted her head to listen to the odd mating ritual going on at the controls of the ship.

She waited to hear the response of the male before deciding if intervention was needed.

Meanwhile the Newsie was arguing with one of his droids.

"No Dray, you can't keep up with the skiff so as much as I would like framing shots of us barrelling across the desert I'm not waiting half a day fro you to catch up."

A blast of indignant binary replied. Ria'la put his hands on his hips, expression growing harder.

"What have I told you about your language? You roll over next to Binky and think about what you've done or you get to miss the next two oil baths."
