The weak points of an Empire (D2, EM, Library)

Djanik had an unusual spring in his step this morning.
Dressed in utilitarian coveralls, and a floppy brimmed hat to keep the sun off, though it wasn't really needed yet, he made his way into the local regional library. It would be a good place to do some perfectly innocent and normal research, on perfectly normal and innocent topics related to the rapid industrialization and supply chains of Bankor.
Or, more precisely, what parts of that supply chain could most easily be disrupted by lightly armed resistance, sabotage, or a daredevil with a death wish.
If he
was going to try and make a difference, the least he could do was be smart about it. Beating up a storm trooper, while initially quite exciting, would make no difference in the long run, but he knew the beast of the Imperial military required a constant flow of resources. Food, money, and supplies. Disrupt those, and the machine would begin to develop internal troubles.
Settling in to a booth, he pulled up local utilities, building permits, development history. Boring things, but things which might highlight choke points in power grids, overloaded space ports, and any other location where damage could be done with minimal risk.
It was boring work, and he couldn't do it too aggressively, to avoid raising attention, so he would have to slowly work from topic to topic, so as not to appear more than a local developer, looking for new projects to pitch.
Unfortunately, after several hours, things weren't... particularly promising.
OOC: 2 advantage, 2 failures - Can I spend the advantage to find a lead on either mothballed/surplus equipment that might be obtainable for resistance, or some other tip, to be pursued later after failing to find any targets in this session?
Knowledge: War, investigating likely insurgent targets and soft points in planetary infrastructure - tactical assessment:
2eA+1eP+2eD 2 failures, 2 advantage

There might be a depot of old Republic weapons in the Wound...

That was an interesting bit of folk lore and rumor.
Djanik filed that away mentally as he searched.
He might have to get a somewhat more maneuverable craft to search, but if things really came to it, it was a starting point.

Mia was, well, struggling as she usually does with a vast amount of information. The Pantoran looked, well, friendly enough to approach, enough being the key word. She sat down and gave a smile.
"Hey, I'm Mianerra, but friends call me Mia," she announced quietly, for they were in a library. She offered her hand before continuing. "You from around here? Uh, not that important. Mainly hoping to get some help with finding places and things."

That was... very forward.
Djanik looked bemused, but accepted the hand, after making sure she wasn't holding a knife/gun/shockstick. "I'm Djanik. I'm not entirely a local but I've been on Bankor for a little while."
He raised an eyebrow. "So what do you need help with, Mia?"

"Nice to meet ya, Djanik. As for my question, I'm trying to find out what else is on this planet. I've heard about the Shadowlands, this 'Wound,' some hills, the desert," she trailed off, rubbing her chin. She was certainly asking for a lot. "How about this: is Rygor the only city around?"

"Only big one."
He raised an eyebrow.
"I've only been around for a year, myself. You not get any of this off the terminals?"
Leaning back in his chair he crossed his left leg over the right, resting the foot against the desktop.
"Bankor isn't much of a tourist stop, I'm afraid. Too hot, except where it is too cold, and entirely too many things trying to eat you, rob you, or shoot you."

"I've never been so good at terminals," Mia admitted. She looked at the man's utilitarian outfit and then gave a soft smile. "Honestly, I'm just a farm girl from the Core Worlds. But I'm trying to get my lay of the land, so to speak."

"What's a core world girl doing out here?"
Djanik gave a wry grin.
"You chose a hell of a planet to land on."
Rummaging in his pocket, he pulled out his datapad, and flipped through some of his own notes.
"I can tell you this much, you've found yourself on a planet that's entirely too hot, crowded, and noisy. Great place, good kaff."
Setting the datapad on the bench, he added, "I'll be honest, you have specific questions, I can try to answer, if not, all I can say is the best thing to do for fun on Bankor is leave."

"Believe me, I'd love to get going," Mia said, ignoring the question about her reasons being here. The Pantoran was, after all, still some random guy at the library to her. "I just want to make sure my stay goes as smoothly as possible."
For me. Not so much the Imperials.

"Well, you'll want to avoid spending too much time in the slums - particularly a couple of dive bars where a lot of gang violence happens."
He sighed. "The Salty Nerf is the safest, you only have cartel types there - so at least they'll have a reason when they kill you."
Drumming his fingers, he added, "Other than that, I guess it's a good idea to avoid spending too much time in the wilderness - the farming villages are nice, but get out past that and the predators get pretty big."
With a small shrug, he picked up the datapad. "Anything else is just conjecture - obey the law, don't draw attention, and you can slip by."

"Too bad I live there. The slums, that is," Mia said with a small smirk, "Hope they don't have a thing for scarves."
The blonde perked a brow. "What are the farming villages like? What do they harvest there? How are the yields?"

Djanik just shrugged with a bemused expression.

"Right, you've been here for a year." Mia then perked a brow, still smiling. "Then what brings you here? Actually, what's kept you if you think I should catch the next shuttle outta here?"

"Work."
He shrugged.
"I can get some here, and I don't have prospects elsewhere."
Glancing at the woman, he added, "You?"

"Surely there are other places to get work. It's a big galaxy after all.
"As for me, my ship is outta commission now. If you know any leads on that end, that would be nice."

Djanik shrugged.
"There are a few mechanics around - heck, I'm not horrid about it."
As for her other comment.
"There may be - I don't have a ship of my own, and my skill set hasn't always been good for work on all worlds."

"How about speeders? I know a few but couldn't hurt to look into more."

"Speeders? Can get local rentals. Otherwise, you'd have to ask around. I'm not in the market for one, myself."
With a faint shrug, he glanced at the console.
"You want a speeder, might want to search on that - otherwise you'll be best off wandering the market and seeing if any lots catch your interest."

Djanik looked bemused.
"What do you mean? You want to start a dealership?"

"Uh, no. More like a... Speeder enthusiast group?" Very convincing.

Djanik gave her a long, blank stare.
After a long moment, he finally said, "I see."
Glancing at the terminal, he made a few quick queries.
"Any particular *type* of speeder?"

"What about ones that can withstand, uh, dangers? Not looking for the racing sort," Mia explained, taking a seat by the Pantoran. She wasn't subtle but oh was she enthusiastic.

"Define danger."
He entered a few keys.
"Wild life? Sand?"
He gave her a look. "Blaster fire from a 74-Z speeder bike?"
