[Day 4 - EN] Bloody Opportunity [Event]
Bloody Opportunity
Event Type: Side Event, Criminal
Participants: Unlimited
Timeslots: Early Night
Description: Vandil has an opportunity for folks willing to get their hands bloody for creds, she needs a few choice folks retired, permanently. Dead.
She wants them dead, well she personally has not claimed that but word on the street the order probably comes from her or the Hutts it’s unclear but someone is paying well for a little casual murder.
Rules: Participating in this event will grant 5 conflict no matter the outcome for those players with Morality.
Silent as Death: The player must complete a Stealth check at Hard or they are noticed and will gain .5 Suspicion; as an option if this roll is failed they can spend 250 credits to pay off the witnesses this will also avoid the Suspicion gain.
Track the Target: This is a Streetwise, Survival, or Underworld check at Average, those players with the Criminal Origin gain a boost die to this check. Failure on this check upgrades the next check by one.
Cold-Blooded: The player makes a Combat skill check, not including Gunnery, at Hard to murder the target. If they fail the Target survives the ordeal and goes to ground, they have missed their window. Equipment modifiers do not apply.
Rewards/Outcome: Killing the target grants the player 1200 credits but makes them indebted to Vandil, they gain Obligation 5 to Vandil. Failing the final step does not grant the credits reward but still increases Obligation by 5 to Vandil.

[Committing FD to Brawn for the Scene, +2 Strain]
Daunt had done his batch of good deeds today, now was the time for the vile ones. Ones committed in silence. He shadowed his quarry carefully, erring on the side of caution, what in turn made him almost lose it before he got a clear way to complete the execution.
EN4. Silent as Death. Stealth.: 3eA+3eD 2 successes, 2 threat
The cute Rodian was largely unaware of the great shadow of her executioner approaching, stopping to have a smoke. Instinct drove Daunt to seize the opening.
EN4. Track the Target. Survival. Setback from Threat.: 1eP+1eA+1eB+2eD+1eS 1 success, 1 threat
The opening was almost too narrow. Just as Daunt was speeding up for the decisive strike, a speeder came round the corner, hitting the alleyway with lights. They blinded him, but he trusted his muscle memory and slashed the Rodian with Zhaboka, severing the head, then immediately whirling away back into the darkness. Had he been seen? If so, by who?
EN4. Cold Blooded. Melee. Flip. Commit.: 3eP+2eA+3eD 1 success, 2 threat
[Success, +1200, +5 Obligation to Vandil, +5 Conflict, 2 Threat for DD to Resolve]

"This is the real thing. Tell me you won't wet yourself midget." Vandil sneers over the table at the Jawa who was seated on top of a booster seat.
Jabber is quiet for a moment and then nods. "I've got this."
He pushes himself away from the table, clutching the printed still of his target, a lunk of a human with tattoos scouring his body, along with a location and time. Jabber does his best to fade into the night, slinking around corners as he tries to get into position.
Bloody Opportunity-Silent as Death-Hard Stealth-Carried Boost: 4eA+1eB+3eD 2 successes
Jabber's efforts earlier in the day help now as he picks out a sight line in the slums outside of a backwater drinking hole. The lunk stumbles out of the bar with his buddies. It's too large a group now, and Jabber keeps along with the other carousers, doing his best to look the part to fit in until he gets his moment.
Bloody Opportunity-Track the Target-Average Skullduggery with Boost from Background: 1eP+3eA+1eB+2eD 1 success, 2 advantage
(Passing Boost)
The crowd parts a little, and the lug puts a hand on the wall, unzipping his fly and letting out a stream of piss. Jabber steps out the shadows, pistols sliding into his hand. He takes aim at the man's back, squeezing the trigger.
Bloody Opportunity-Cold Blooded-Hard Ranged(Light)-Carried Boost: 1eP+3eA+1eB+3eD 0 successes
Right at the moment the man leaned over and puked. The shot whizzes into the wall, and the lunk stumbles by, pulling out his own piece and firing back. Jabber chokes back a curse and darts back into the shadows, knowing he missed his shot. Vandil would be pissed...

Ru'ni wasn't sure how his wetwork earlier in the day when the earthquake struck had came to Vandil's attention, but what mattered now is that she knew about it. However it had happened, he had seen it as a great coincidence that the target she had directed him towards was also in the Salty Nerf enjoying the show earlier this evening.
For one as practiced at hunting as Ru'ni was, silence wasn't a big stretch, and he melted into the shadows as he followed his mark. He was almost spotted once and had to duck out of sight to ease his target's mind, but Ru'ni had no difficulty picking up the trail again a few minutes later. His quarry was almost too casual, leaving half crushed death sticks in his wake. Something had the Twi'lek nervous enough to be chain smoking those disgusting things tonight.
Ru'ni eventually caught up to him and he shook his head in disgust, a local who had thrown in with the Empire, who had sold information to the enemy, for profit. The lowest kind of scum, profiting off the misery of others. Vandil had chosen well in giving him this mark. Just as he took a big drag of his deathstick, Ru'ni stepped out of the shadows and slit his throat from ear to ear. As the cancerous smoke escaped from the gash in the dead Twi'lek's neck, Ru'ni swept through the target's pockets.
Information brokers often kept the most useful tidbits on them Vandil had hinted to the Aznuri native...and this was no exception. There was proof, recorded communication between Jintru of the Chaldi and an Imperial agent. All of which pointed to a tipoff leading to the attack on the Enclave. Ru'ni's blood boiled as he wondered exactly what to do with this information.

Re: [Day 4 - EN] Bloody Opportunity [Event]
Venator honestly doesn't care if criminals want to take each other out. He is more than happy to take their credits. He does have some marks that he'll never touch. Fortunately, it does not seem like he'll have that moral dilemma with this quarry. The target was clearly working for the Hutts or one of the gangs.
He bumps into some street urchins while pursuing his target. He curses his own carelessness there and is forced to give them some credits to look the other way. He tosses a credit chip to them. "Ya ain'd seen nodh'n. Now am scray."
The little distraction does cause him to lose track of his mark for a while. He clicks his tongue as he picks up to pace to try to locate them. He manages to find them but the window of opportunity to get in a good shot is quickly closing and his position is poor.
No time for complaints though. He perches on a rooftop and takes aim with his blaster rifle. He energy bolt pierces the mark and they fall to the street. He looks around quickly. "Good. No widnesses. Bedder ged back do repord in."
/ Silent as Death.

Re: [Day 4 - EN] Bloody Opportunity [Event]
Dak decided to keep up appearances of working for Tididol and he looked into the list of hits. Dak found one of the scummiest ones he could so he could at least justify taking some trash off the streets.
Dak had found some tips on the target and went to the rooftops of the slums to track them. Unfortunately a cook came out for a smoke as Dak was about to climb the ladder. Rather than silence the witness Dak decided to pay them off. The Cathar prowled the rooftops around where his mark was staying but he was having a hard time pinning them down.
Eventually he caught a glimpse of them through the window of a seedy hotel. He could only see the zabrak's head and it seemed to be moving so the shot was tricky but Dak took a slow breath and squeezed the trigger. The bolt flew true and seared through the mans horned head. As he collapsed a few seconds later a naked twilek jumped up panicked grabbed her clothes (and took the time to raid the zabrak's pants) before fleeing from the room.
It wasnt the cleanest job he'd done but target was eliminated and Vandil should be satisfied.
