Astin started things early most days, but not too early liking to have a good breakfast before anything else. Making his way to the small workshop in the ship he laid out his tools and started his work.

Floats armor came first, the girl was obviously the type to dive head first into things after all, which meant she certainly needed a good helmet. It went surprisingly well, the modifications would likely prove both comfortable and able to disguise the armors orgins. Hopefully Floats didn't mind too much that it was green.

Dove provided the 100 credits of materials.

Said Nautolan sticks her head into the room, opens her mouth, the closes it again before hurrying off. There is the distant sound of a tap and then she returns, wringing out her hands.

"Morning Astin. How's the armour coming? Can I lend a hand? They're clean and all, scrubbed 'em twice."

"Almost done, honestly." Astin replied glancing over his shoulder towards the young girl. "If you want to help you can hand that heat gun over there though." He dipped his head towards an item on the bench.

She goes and carefully picks up the heat gun before heading back to peer around Astin at his work
"Oooh green, good choice, ain't no stormtroopers wearing green...except for the kelp troopers" she shudders

"I think that's a different shade of green though, right?" Astin had no idea what a kelp trooper was, but the kelp he knew was usually rather dark.

Accepting the heat gun. "I thought about purple, but that seemed like it would stand out a bit much. Still glad you like the choice."

Her voice gets slightly muffled as she forces the helmet down, enjoying the more roomie fit

"Well that's a relief, self-cannibalism seems more like a last resort sort of thing." Maybe if you were trapped and starving or something? Still the idea of it turned his stomach.

"Uh, you got enough room in the chest for my chest..thingies? Most clothes can get a little snug, which is a right pain let me tell you."

"Did you account for your 'chest thingies" in the measurements you gave me?" Astin asked a bit of amusement in his tone.

"A tad." Astin lifted his hand to his face and scratched at the stubble there for a moment, before nodding to himself.

"Alright then Floats, can you bring me that measuring tape other there." He gestured to a small grey item labeled 'Pearson's measure everything'. "Seems like I'm gonna have to take some measurements myself."

"Hey now, I can just do it myself, just have to hold one bit under my chin and kinda wriggle it."

"Now Floats, I have five sisters and they might not be the same species as you, but they do have most of the same accoutrements as you." Astin shook his head.

"What I'm trying to say is you don't have anything I haven't seen, and I'm not the type of fella that's gonna molest a girl that's asked for my help." He beckoned her over. "Now come over here and we'll I'll get the numbers I need. Then I can finish up your armor and forget all about the measurements of your chest thingies if that makes ya happy."

No-one with five sisters could be all bad! And he had been all sorts of friendly so far...

"Fine, since we're crew and all mutual chest thingie trust is important."

"Aye and six brothers as well. It really did make growing up quite the experience." Not that he really wanted to repeat it.

"Alright then, let's get this measured, and then we can make sure that you're not squished everytime you wear your armor."

"Awww it was terrible the first time sneaking in, like one of them corsets the ladies where on Petrus' TV, on that channel he always changes from."
Humming, she gets ready for measuring

Astin paused thoughtfully, taking a few moments to record a few numbers. "You seem to like him though, ever thought of asking him on a date?"

Shifting to the other topic of conversation he shrugged. "It's simple but complicated. I call I hear about how my folks want me to come home, then I tell em I'm not going to. After that it devolves into arguing. We love each other, but don't always see eye to eye. Course family is like that alot of the time."

"Thinkers can be good doers, they just need to think on how best to do. He was plenty brave during the resistance raid."
As far as Floats was concerned, Petrus was good people

"Well, I wasn't. But I was talking to a uh." pause "Friend, and he kinda made it sound a lot more common than I'd thought, like people weren't taking the rules serious like. He's kinda weird though, so maybe he wasn't right?"

"I'll take your word for it then, though the way the rest of you all seem to talk about I'm beginning to think I should take him out for beers or something sometime. Get to know him a bit better." He seemed to be a popular kid after all.

"Didn't figure you were." He teased as he finished all the measurements and went back to work. It had been more then a tad that the girl had been underestimating, and that meant more adjustments. "I mean, no offense, but I'm pretty sure you haven't even kissed a biy before."

"Still what was that rule they were breaking? Not to have kids? Not to fornicate? If I knew more I might be able to give you my opinion on it. Maybe be able to help clear up matters? I'm pretty worldly when it comes to that sort of thing."
