Sound outside caused Ria'la's faithful camdroid to activate and rise up on its repulsorlifts to see what was happening.

The tromp-tromp-tromp of stormtrooper armoured boots was familiar to the droid as it floated across to the window and peered out, activating its recorders as it did so. <Master will want this.> it thought as it panned across the street outside.

When the boots tromped right up to the door of the apartment itself, Binky had to run through the varied and conflicting orders it had been given in the past.

It was quietly confident it had never been given specific orders for 'Stormtroopers at the door.' Instead it weighed up the options between 'AND IF THAT BASTARD CHEATING KRIFFING NERF HERDER COMES BACK, SHUT THE DOOR IN HIS FACE!', 'If it's Kria then I'm not in.' and 'If the apartment catches fire you're to break the window and go straight to my last known location."

Despite knowing that Ria'la had been going to meet an ex-stormtrooper Binky dismissed the first command option. The second was discarded when the stormtroopers did not bother to knock and just smashed the door down.

<Option Three chosen.> deadpanned the droid as it speeded through the window and out in to the Rygor night, deactivating its running lights as it moved into self preservation mode.

Now where had Master said he was going?

Binky hummed quietly to itself. Well the humming was its repulsorlifts and it could hardly turn them off, so technically it was always humming to itself, but let's not ruin the moment.

It hovered at about first floor window height as it ambled through Rygor, completely ignoring all the stormtroopers breaking down doors. Well, by completely ignored we mean 'recorded every single instance it came across in full video and audio greatness that it could remember' while uttering

<Master will want this.> in its deadpan voice every time.

Slowly in wound its way across Rygor and then had to decide where Master had gone. Master was very keen on several bars in this area and there was the Resistance Safe House. Binky attempted to calculate the probability of which was most likely.

<………………….>

Binky was a camdroid, probability was not its strong point, or even programmed in to its primary functions.

It went to the closest.

Binky arrived at the door of the 'Pink Cat House' and paused. Master had visited this place frequently in the past but had never let Binky nor Dray enter. They'd always been left at home or with very strict instructions to not film anyone entering the door . . . with the exceptions if they were A: Imperial, B: Famous, C: A local Politician, or any combination of the above. Then Master absolutely wanted them to film those people. Sometimes it was a hard life as a camdroid, keeping up with who was famous, imperial and/or a politician. Binky had perused so many trashy weekly magazine holos to try and keep itself appraised. It also considered it fairly strange that no females entered here, only males, and that they absolutely tried their best to hide their faces.

Today it hovered in front of the doorman, bobbed a greeting and deadpanned . . .

<Good Evening. Has Master entered the Pink Cat tonight?>

The Door Dug stared back, spat on the floor, stared some more, before finally answering.

"Your blonde bit hasn't dragged his ass in here tonight. Kriff off somewhere else. No Droids allowed."

Binky bobbed again.

<Kriffing off somewhere else now sir.>

With the broth . . . . House of Ill Repute a no go, probabilities pointed towards the Resistance Safe House.

. . .

OK it was the next nearest.

Binky continued ambling on counting on its small size and complete lack of weaponry to hide it. Unless you counted repeated landing on something from its maximum safe altitude and velocity, which had done for one of the local Rygorian rats when it had gotten into Master's apartment once. At least it had done for it after seven landings.

Anyway, no rats here so Binky continued and continued and then began to doubt its programming. It was following the directions it had been given to the Safe House but it appeared to be circling an area of the slums repeatedly.

<Very confusion. There must be a navigational error. Running diagnostics.>

The quietly humming, floating camdroid was rescued by a brief bleep on the comm. Master called giving correct directions, having been warned of the night of raids by a text from Mia.

Binky was saved!
