The Spear of Sith Ginus Heist

Rules: This is a role play thread and heist thread, the players have a total of 10 rolls they can make to complete the heist the first four rolls are at Average and the last six are at Hard and no skill check can be repeated by the Heist team. Players should label their Heist rolls and they get three Heist successes if they fail a roll and the Heist rules apply.

Players need to complete 7 rolls successfully to complete the Heist without having to shoot their way out, and once a Heist success is used it cannot be used again on the next roll. Imperial presence is high in the Museum, so gain a setback die for their presence there.

Open to 5 players.

As much as it was cliche, the night time was the best time to attempt the heist. The Rygor Natural Science and Arts Museum was a beautiful three story structure with a vault in the underbelly of the massive complex. Imperial soldiers patrolled the halls interspersed with droid security, this was unusual which meant there was something here that the Empire wanted kept locked up tight.

Jenna was there, prepped and ready, assembling with the rest of the crew this was going to bring her one step closer to freedom. She only needed to roll the dice.

A tall Zabrak lurked in shadows by the museum premises, waiting until he would spot the others.

Jabber, returned to action and only slightly ruffled is ready in action as well.

"Let's just make some coin and get out."

Bowze felt...not great but enough to make it.

There were some first steps before even getting close to the building, cutting into the security systems via a remote hard-wire Jax prepared the camera's. Waiting, she watched for just the right frame of time and then set the Imperial monitors cams onto a loop, leaving themselves a direct feed into the security still should they aim for it.

"Movie time," she said, having pressed the comm unit into her ear for clear communication.

Djanik was in on this - he'd take money from the hutts to use on the Empire.

Ships were expensive.

Jabber replies back, then realizes who h"We're ready when you are. I have a distraction ready if you need eyes on me" e's contacting. "Jawa mak-e much squee for guard on go"

It was degrading, needing to butcher Basic like that, but needs must....

Meanwhile Inside...


Commander Poule rubbed his shoulder, the medical droids did good work but it was still sore as he walked through the exhibits. He didn’t know why the Brass wanted to secure this place but he followed orders and had already identified several holes in their security.

He needed to redeem himself after the disaster with the primitives, this was his chance.

OOC: Flipping Destiny for Poule, upgrade the rest of the checks by 1 for the Heist.

Jabber takes a look from the outside, scanning the crowd.

If I suspected a bunch of criminals were coming in for a heist, I would post plainclothes. Make them blend in.

But as well as you could hide them guards were still, well, guards. They would be looking for different things than others employees who would be about their business of cleaning up, or be dressed in ways that would hide their gear...and they would react to the same things.

"Ok...I am pretty sure than janitor is one of them. Huh...they seemed better organized than most. I think they might have a commander on site"

OOC: He can grant an ally an upgrade but not negate Poule.

And an Imperial Officer dropped by, to make sure the security was well taken care of. This would be a feather in his cap, for certain.

Arriving in captain uniform, freshly pressed, cap brim starched, Djanik rolled onto the scene.

Accosting the nearest storm trooper, he snapped orders. "You, trooper. Name and Serial number!" Without waiting for a reply he brushed past imperiously, casting his gaze about with the arrogance and self-satisfied stupidity of a career officer riding a wave of nepotism to the top.

"This is a surprise inspection - do not alert your superior. I won't have you fixing any sloppiness before I can find it!"

The storm trooper replied, the rest looking confused at the new officer, "Sir, of course sir!"

Slightly elsewhere, the frightening Zabrak whose skin tone molded into the night like he belonged to everyone's big fear, quietly approached a solitary guard. He took slow steps to make just the right impression of creep in the colour of sick ectoplasma his gaze could imitate.

"Got a death stick, trooper?" He asked in gravely tone that was meant to sound like 'death wish' in Basic.

3 Advantages to combo with Djanik and cause some coordination and disciplinary issues among guards.

"I uhh, there's a Jedi!" he said marching in the other direction.

OOC: Spending 4 more Destiny to upgrade the next four rolls.

Jabber continues his sneaky outside look in. He comes across a janitor on his break and offers a smile.

"Hey man...look, I knocked up my girlfriend. She said she would kick me out if I couldn't prove I could hold down a job. Can you let me take your shift? Look, I'll pay you, it's not that..." Jabber holds up 50 credits.

"Look, just for one night. I'll cover, and if it's bad, scrub my work and you'll get overtime"

The janitor gives the Jawa a funny look. "That is the most ridiculous thing I've heard. Get out of here. There's plenty of work in the morning. Take my gear back, I'm taking a deathstick break"

Jabber backs off, looking dejected, but gets his true target: a janitor cart.

Jabber hears a Voice, "Janitor, there is a milkshake spill by the gift shop, take care of that."

While trying to make use of all the Chaos Jax is moving through the Museum like the thief she once thought she was born to be when she came across Poule and Jabber, panicking, her route cut off, she ducked into a another back room and hid. There was a flush to her cheeks and it wasn't just from the rush of almost getting caught, she wanted to slap herself. Taking the moment to calm down, catching her breath she looked around, she was alone, but it was a small office converted to security use by the Imperials.

On the desk, while she was there, open conspicuously was a small chest with a very lovely looking little blaster, sleek. Jax took an instant liking to it and Jenna thought about the consequences of earlier, best to have just in case, she figured. Taking it she found a nearby holster and strapped it quickly to her leg.

"I'm cut off," she said, pulling her hand up to her Comm unit, "Can anyone else get to the target?"

Commander Poule had glanced at where Jenna was. He turned away from the jawa and walked to the door tapping on the door with Jenna inside and said, "Excuse me is someone in there?"

"Uhhh, yes, right on it."

Why do I always play the janitor...


Jabber moves down the hall to start cleaning up the mess when he realizes that the guard guy might be clued in in Jenna.

Ho boy


Jabber took a moment, then started a running jump, landing in a bucket and beginning a prat-fall out of an old Holo-vid comedy.


"EEEK." *bang* "OOOK *crash* "ARRGH" *wilhelm scream*

Jabber hopes that his distraction is distracting enough.

As it turns out, it might be too distracting.

“Well shoot, excuse my Rylothian, but are you okay jawa?” the Commander said coming to his head.

“You need some help?”

"No, it's ok! Please don't report me! I really need this job!" For the second time that day, Jabber's imagined terror lines up with his actual fear.
