Taking Advantage [Day 8, MA]

Finding an opportunity in the Imperials mobilization, wherever it was, Jenna found her way through the city streets toward the Imperial sectors. Where the buildings that supported the local Imperial garrison were. Searching, among them, for the most important of the lot and singling it out as her target. Things were coming to a head, and this was a solo-op, but she couldn't pass up the chance she'd noticed for herself. Using her false credentials to get through most of the city she carefully hid her slicer gear, as usual, under her right sleeve. Few, if any, tended to search for it but she'd had some tricks, literally, up her sleeve if the situation came to it.

Dressed with a thermal cloak resting on her shoulders, more to use it's slick material to keep the rain from soaking her underneath, she'd taken up position outside the building and merely needed to do a little watching in order to find her way in, she hoped.

OOC: What is her approach.

OOC: Hmm, not sure how much I can assume of the building. However, for starters, two natural options come to mind: 1.) Using her ability for climbing, via Coordination, to get up from atop another building or just climb up the building to a window or something of the sort is one way. 2.) Another would be to just find a less guarded hidden back way.

OOC: Coordination at Average or Skullduggery at Average for finding the less guarded entrance.

Getting herself up to a point where she could jump up onto the building just below an open window, Jenna checked each direction and then quickly leaped at the building. Catching the rain covered ledge she shifted the weight of her body into a bit of a swing and threw herself to another. Catching a foothold nearby with another swing she lifted herself up onto a small platform. From there, she skirted along the edge of the building until she was underneath the window once more.

Hands reached up onto the window from below, it had been open just enough to let some air in and the window was angled just right to avoid rain dousing the floor. Of course, once a rain covered Jenna came in and slid herself through the window onto the ground with a light thud, the sanctity of the interiors dryness was wholly ruined.

Once inside she took stock of her situation, next step, find a disguise, a uniform, so she can look like she belongs.

The area was busy but no one had noticed her yet, she would have to be stealthy or tricky to get what she needed.

OOC: Deception or Stealth at Average, flipping a Destiny.

Seeing as it was busy, and there was no uniform she could most quickly get to, she opted for the fast approach and slipped out into the hall. Relying on her ability to blend in with the crowd until she could slip off into another room.

Things didn't go exactly as planned, and yet, they weren't entirely bleak because..

"Soldier what in the hell are you doing out of uniform?" an Ensign said looking at the woman.

There was a slight startle to her, for a moment her heart raced like she was caught but a thief like her didn't get to where she was without being quick on her toes, "S-sorry! I-.. I," she put her head down, using her natural response of fear at being caught to her advantage, just changing the angle, masking it, "mine had been ruined by the mud, I didn't wish to disgrace the Empire by wearing a muddy uniform and I hoped to manage a spare before I was found."

"You need to take better care, soldier. Or you'll end up in the brig. Get a jumpsuit and get ready for work, we need the floors mopped," he commanded.

"Aye," she said, offering the Ensign his due respect with a nod, "I'll get right on it!" she said, a bit more enthusiastically than needed but, well, she was supposed to be some lower rank nobody who'd just gotten left off the hook. There was some cause to tap into the elation of a crafty bit of deception paying off, walking off with a spring in her step but contained as to look like a dour and unimpressed Imperial.

Off she went, looking for the cue signs to get herself toward a locker room, or the like, wherever she might have been able to find that jumpsuit she was ordered to go collect. Of course, if opportunity presented herself with the chance, finding herself an officers uniform in some locker, whether it was locked or not, might just benefit her ability to move around the building much more greatly.

These Imperial types, perhaps it was the military type, seemed to tend to avoid the gaze of their superiors. Could be an advantage to that, she figured.

Getting into the locker room, she looked around through the different lockers. Hoping to find something of an officers uniform, maybe someone called in sick because of the weather but, it seemed like instead they might have just followed some good uniform advice and left a spare in the office in case it rained.

Unfortunately, it rained, which meant there really wasn't anything to be found, but..

It was.. going to have to do, she took her time with it. Having undressed, and redressed into the uniform she used the belt she wore to try and tighten it up and make it look somewhat more presentable. Enough that maybe, just maybe, this might work.

A girl can hope, right?

With no other options she bid goodbye to her previous clothing, something that a life of a thief of her nature had to do often, and moved onward back into the hall. Hoping, just maybe, that she might be able to find an office or someplace important before this whole plan fell to pieces.

"Just, keep cool," she said softly to herself.

The soldiers give her respect and a wide berth as she made her way to the prize, she had to take a lift to the right floor.

With the wide berth she was granted from playing the part of someone important she confidently strode into the elevator, and with a quick glance at the options for the floors would select the one most likely to pay off.

These were, naturally, usually sub-levels or penthouse, shouldn't be a hard guess, she figured.

Once inside the elevator, she took a moment outside of the eye of the general traffic to let out a breath. Today, she was doing something that might help people, she hoped. Only a matter of time to see what sacrifices might have been made to offer her this opportunity.

Face to face with the man she flustered, wanted to slap herself, and eeked out, "Commander."

Yea, she was busted from the start.

He sat there and then sighed and said, "Ma'am you are like a bad cred, I don;t seem to be able to get rid of you and when you show up something gets broken or stole."

"So you must be mighty brave or foolish coming here."

Jenna's shoulders relaxed, not that she was relaxed but she shifted away from Imperial walking the halls with confidence to just Jenna wearing some Imperials uniform.

With a nervous chuckle, and despite the flush to her cheeks, she kept her head, "A bit of both, I'm afraid." Jenna ducked her head, apologetically, "Sorry.. any chance I can convince you it's all been for a good reason?"

Poule thought about and tried to go for the pin against the wall but she is too nimble for that so he drew his own blaster pistol and waited to see what she would do as he said, “You’re at best a criminal and at worst a rebel, so give me a reason why I shouldn’t put you out of my misery, ma’am.”

“Excuse my rough language.”

OOC: Failed to pin her so using advantage to stop the Lift and Incidental to draw his weapon.

"I'm just trying to protect my brother!" she shouted out in her defense, having managed to free herself from his grip. As much as that was something the devil on her shoulder wanted the euphoria from the touch immediately dissipated when the panic set in. Wriggling out of his hold, like she used to down on Coruscant's streets, she shifted around him but fell back against the elevator wall and slid down it a bit until she found purchase against it.

Looking up from below, she was ready to launch herself if she needed but otherwise looking up at a blaster in her face gave her the chills. Glancing just past him, at the panel, to see if she might be able to get around him to release the door and get out that way.. if things took a turn for the worse.

"Please, just, you have to be able to understand that right? You have your men, I'm sure, maybe even family, people you'd risk everything for? Well, I do too, unfortunately for me that put me in a really harsh position and I'm just trying my best to keep everything, my entire life, from falling apart."

However, she held hope that maybe yet she could reason with him, if she could.. if she could the impromptu mission wouldn't be a total loss.
