Shadows of Bankor

The trip out to the Wound was mercifully peaceful after the Resistance meeting. Should she have expected differently? That people would simply work together? Despite the egos and personality clashes she still had hope. Maybe she was just overly optimistic, but it felt as though the force was with them for the first time in years.

Arriving at the Bone King's base she waved at the guards and waited for permission to enter the camp. She thought about what Rayne had said. Jenna's cautions and eventual acceptance. However it all turned out, for now it felt good to be doing something.

The guard let her in, they nod respectfully to her. In the camp she can see more activity as people are tending to restored craft and riders tend to their beasts. Among the riders was the King.

Returning the nod she watched the camp with interest. What kind of beasts were they, she wondered. She walked slowly towards them, noting details about the craft and trying to assess how many people were in the camp. With a smile she approached the King. "Good afternoon to you, King of the Wound."

"My friend! You return, have you seen my my pride and joy vusa, she is Midnight," he said in Huttese proudly introducing the creature.

"If I had known you had such magnificent creatures as Midnight I would have brought some bones with me." She gave the vusa a respectful nod. "She is beautiful. I have never been so close to one before."
