Ain't no sunshine (Day 3 Late Evening)

He'd miss the sunset, but Astin really didn't mind. After all the hullabaloo of the Arts festival a bit of time away from crowds is what he needed.
Digging into the storage space of his bike, he removed the supplies he needed, wood, cooking utensils, one of the fish he caught earlier, root vegetables, and a twelve pack of beer. This would be a pleasant evening even if it was on his lonesome. He though to himself as he made his dinner preparations.

He hears a speeder approaching.

That was a odd thing at this hour, and it caused him to look up from his work and glance around the area. Maybe he could pinpoint where it was coming from?

It was a speeder along the water line and then she drifted around and pulled to a stop. Weggs removed her helmet, "I swear I am not stalking you... I was actually taking a test ride."
"What are you doing out here?"

He certainly hoped she hadn't been stalking him, he really didn't take too kindly to that sort of thing after all.
Still she got a smile and a shrug as he gestured to where he was working. "Making dinner, it's a nice night and I figured I'd enjoy it a bit."

"Why way out here?" she said still astride her speeder.

"Its a nice view, and it's quiet. You get some nice ambience from the sound of the waves, plus you aren't likely to be bothered by too many people."
He glanced from the view he had back to the young woman. "I come to places like this pretty often. Especially after I've spent some time in crowded places like the arts fest today."

"Crowds not your thing?" she asked seriously.

"Not like I can't stand em, but they can wear a fella out. So I tend to prefer smaller gatherings."
"Plus its probably a good thing to avoid gathering in the same place after the trouble we caused today. No one is gonna pay any mind to someone on his own cooking dinner."
"Now if you're gathering together in a celebratory mood a day after the Anzuri enclave was destroyed and hours after a imp base was raided. Well, we both know how many prying eyes this city can have."

"No... I was, just testing this out, I am not built for crowds," she said honestly.

"That's a lot of folks honestly." Astin offered with a easy smile, she really hadn't needed to reassure him again. "But you're here now and welcome to join me though. Though I'll warn you dinner is still a while away, and I'm no great cook."

She finally hopped off and said, "Cool... well what do you think?"
It's a sporty and modified speeder though without any paint job yet besides matte black and chrome.

"Nice looking speeder." He offered looking it over for a few moments though in the middle of cooking he couldn't really give it a thorough examination.
"You planning on racing it? Or is it something for our friends to use?"

"Well I got sad, about how you had to sell parts and I figured I had an afternoon and all night to kill," she said sheepishly.
"It was J3's idea, of course, so I built one for yah, she's fast. Probably too fast for me."

"Pheeeew." He let out a low whistle. "Damn girl, but you didn't need to do anything like that for me. I mean I haven't even done anything to deserve it."
"Don't even know how I'd begin to thank ya either. You sure you want to give something like this to a fella like me?"

“You have been nice to hang out with even if I am a world class nerf-herder,” she said honestly.
“I just got inspired it’s not a big deal…”

"No you shush about that, you're a lovely young woman and not a nerfherder." He cracked open a beer and passed it her way. "And I'm more then happy to hang out around your shop and help out whenever you need me."
"If you're certain about this I'll accept though, and I'll remember it to. Anything you ever need I'll help if I can. It's the least I can do."

She took the beer and said, “Awesome… I also just got the vibe you might be leaving or maybe I just read too much into things and I thought maybe giving you a reason to stay would… yeah.”

"It crossed my mind." He offered honestly, opening up a beer for himself. "I don't mind taking risks, but there is a line I prefer not to cross."
"Plus I don't trust that trooper fellow. Likely never will."

“Yeah I don’t make those calls, but Yusandr and I go a ways back… but he gives me the creeps he feels too smooth,” she replied.

"Not to mention he knows too much to just be a simple solider." He looks a sip of his beer and went back to getting the fire ready for cooking.
"I mean, I'm pretty sure the Imps don't give the coordinates to their secret bases to every trooper out there." He shook his head. "And then there is the matter of the base layout. He didn't fill in all of it, but you're a smart woman. Could you of done something similar from memory?"

"So... what do you think then?" she asked. "I am curious, you seem to have an idea or suspect something."

"I can't say for certain... A third party, most likely one that wants to make things difficult for the Imps, or wants something from them." He took a swig of his beer. "Could be the hutts, could be one of the syndicate. Maybe they had someone locked up in Camp-14 they wanted out, but didn't want to be connected."
"I guess that's the closest guess I got." He finished after a few moments.

She took a drink and said, “I guess we just have to wait for the other boot to drop with him.”
“Nice beer, where did you get this from?”

"Not much else to do." Astin agreed a nod, after the successful mission like as not most of the others would trust the man. Including their leadership, not like it could be helped though.
"Oh this? Got it from a Mister Greymeir on a farm back towards Rygor aways. He brews it himself, doesn't really sell it but I trade him a bit of work for some every now and then. He just asks I bring back the bottles so I can reuse them."
