[Day 3 - MM] The Jedi Distraction [Event]

[Dapper Dog]

“It is not too late Neela, your master would welcome you back at his side, the Dark Side does not have you completely,” the man said as he rested his hands in front of him the roaring flames making his dark robes billow.

“I offer you a chance to lay down your weapons.”

[13th Sister]

She raged under her mask and said, “That weak woman is dead there is only the 13th Sister… Jedi.”

“I will kill you for uttering that profane name.”

[Sinnya]

"Wait," she was alarmed as he didn't join her, "...but you might need help too!"

She stopped on the other side of the flames, not entirely sure what was happening, but knowing that she didn't want to leave this stranger to die at the hands of the sister either.

Sinn'ya of course, might be able to forceably drag her from her stupor...

“What in the tar pit hell was that—?” Sinnya’s lekku twitched decisively. “You know what, tell me later. We’re getting out of here.”

She grabbed Verse’s non-lightsaber wrist, ready to tug her out of the burning building and away into the factory alleys.

((Luckily for Verse, she’d teamed up with a Caution/Fear morality person!

How much of this dialogue are we hearing?

If we need to make further efforts to escape, I can throw some Streetwise to get away by the back ways or whatever else seems appropriate. ))

[Verse Aura]

"But he might need our help!" She wasn't exactly resisting being dragged, but she also wasn't exactly running either.

[Sinnya]

“He told you to run!” Sinn tugged harder. “Aren’t you supposed to obey your Jedi Elders, or whatever you call them?”

[Oraka Hin]

She raged under her mask and said, “That weak woman is dead there is only the 13th Sister… Jedi.”

“I will kill you for uttering that profane name.”

"I am sure you will try," he said and then took up his stance his legs wide but stable as the lightsaber came to hand pointed directly at his foe... it ignited blue and pure.

It has been a long time since Oraka needed his sacred weapon. His students had fought for Bankor, he would do no less. His dark cloak fell away and he added, "You will not pass."

[Verse Aura]

"Okay, okay, fine!"

She finally followed Sinnya, however once they were through the exit and out of earshot, she turned to her.

"...hey, do you know how to fly a tie-fighter?"

[13th Sister]

Meanwhile...

The woman came at him with a fury her blade spinning as he moved and parried but still she was a vicious fighter. She had gotten stronger but she was all rage and fire. Still he knew he had gotten out of practice as she had been able to make him give ground as their blades clashed and roared with sparks.

OOC: Triumph for second attack, so two hits for 11 wounds, Parry used on both reducing wounds by 7 for a total of six strain 8 wounds.

[Oraka Hin]

The Jedi Master clashed with the Inquisitor and it soon became obvious even to her he was the far better fighter at least with a Lightsaber. They had leapt up to the high gangways and their blades clash among the roaring flames. Oraka was patient as he waited for the right moment goading her anger until she over extended.

He found his stillness and then said softly to the Inquisitor, “I am sorry, Neela… we have failed you. We have failed you.”

He batted away the incoming attack leaving her wide open and made a lightning quick side slash, his blade energy blade cutting through her defenses with ease. He followed with a spinning kick sending her flying over the edge grasping the ledge with one hand.

He approached and extinguished his blade and offered a hand, “Take it, this does not have to be the end.”

[13th Sister]

For a moment she wanted to reach for him… the words of Qareme coming to her mind but then she saw in her mind the visage of Lord Vader and knew only fear. She looked down and saw several cargo droids coming her way and she said with venom, “Your Order is dead Oraka!”

She let go and closed her eyes briefly before she reached out and caught a passing cargo droid that carried her away as explosions rocked the facility.

[Sinnya]

"Okay, okay, fine!"

She finally followed Sinnya, however once they were through the exit and out of earshot, she turned to her.

"...hey, do you know how to fly a tie-fighter?"

It was a crazy question.

This was a crazy morning.

“Well... is it anything like a T-47?”

[Dapper Dog]

The old man dropped down with a heavy sigh as his cloak moved towards him and fell over his shoulders obscuring his features. He grimaced at the injury, he had pushed himself harder than expected and she was deadly.

He pulled his hood up and then made his way out as quietly as he had made his way in.

[Verse Aura]

"I don't know," she said, entirely ignorant of the fact the Sister was plummeting to her death, "Let's find out!"

[Sinnya]

“What the hell.” Sinnya scrambled after Verse, toward the ship belonging to the crazy powerful lady who could definitely end them both.

[Dapper Dog]

The interior is just an empty shell with a seat and command stick and minimal controls.

OOC: Piloting Space check at Average to get this crate running.

[Verse Aura]

"Hey, can we both fit in here? I mean, I have a plan but... it's going to be dangerous, so maybe I should do the piloting and you could check on the blonde?"

[Sinnya]

"If it's dangerous, you'll need a good pilot." Sinnya flashed a feral smile. "We don't have one. But I'm the best you've got." It was admittedly going to be a squeeze with both of them in a cockpit configured for one, assuming Verse was planning to come along for the ride. But doable?
Lucky they were both relatively slender members of non-huge species.

[Verse Aura]

"Well, if you're sure... but no complaining if we crash and die," she said, climbing in.

[Sinnya]

"If we save your friend but you get blown up, what's the point?"

Sinn swung down into the pilot seat and hastily buckled the harness around herself as best she could. No helmet; that was fine, one wouldn't have fit her anyway. The controls were not very like a T-47, but there were enough similarities that...

"Got it!" Sinn whooped as the repulsors engaged and the TIE lifted away from the rubble-strewn ground.

This was completely insane. Every fiber from her toes to the tips of both lekku had been screaming get out since the TIE first appeared, and now she was inside it. But, hell, it would be a lot faster than escaping on foot...

"See if you can spot Mia from up here!"

[Verse Aura]

"Okay now.... uh... where's the comms. Hey, how do you switch this thing to a different channel? Do we have a secure line to the rest?"

Verse was in the back, pressing whatever buttons she could reach.

"Ahem, check check, hey guys... guess what?"

[Dapper Dog]

There is a reply from Yusandr, "Do you need backup?"

[Verse Aura]

"Oh no, no. Wait, why was *that* your first guess?"

She shooked her head. "Never mind. I don't think our 'friend' is going to be a problem for a while. So we were thinking of coming over to help with the rest of the party in case uh... the other guys need *another* distraction?"

[Sinnya]

Yusandr would hear another voice in the background of the microphone pickup:

"Wait, what?"

Focused on figuring out the unfamiliar controls and keeping the positively anti-aerodynamic spacecraft stable in low atmosphere, Sinnya couldn't turn away to look back over her shoulder.

"What exactly is your plan, Verse?"

[Verse Aura]

"Shoot up the prison as a distraction so the others can escape with the prisoners, of course? I *did* say it was a dangerous plan, didn't I?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Wait... with what?" Yusandr called back.
