Marston [Day 1, EM] (Event Reply)

Was this now a place she called home? These people on the street that she walked by without so much as a thought sometimes? Some, few, she recognized in the masses of people that would come across her attention every day. Wasn't much of a thought she cared for, but her mind wandered on a job like this. Never made a home, in the past, because it avoided the rule of never doing a job too close to home if you didn't have a home. So, was she breaking that rule now? Cutting corners like this, it was dangerous, but the debt...

Finding herself a suitable target she failed to adjust for how patrols might alter based on the current activity of the military. Still, she found a place that appeared to suit her purposes and she shifted through the streets and through buildings till she could climb up the stairs and onto a platform nearest the tower. It wasn't much of a jump, didn't require much climbing, but landing carefully was paramount to her plan. Shifting her feet on the gravel filled rooftop and she found purchase before pushing herself over toward the comm tower and.. clang.

Jax's boots touched down on the base of the upper part of the tower with a loud clang that reverberated through the slums treets.

"Hey, what's going on up there!?" the noticeable mic interference of a storm trooper guarding it below. Well, it was now or never. As she heard the boots clambering toward the ladder up she began searching for the insert panel but couldn't find one. Luckily, below, she could hear an officer that had addressed the troopers. His demands to know what was going on could buy her more time... was buying her more time. Quickly she remembered another access point and sought the terminal. Just a few codes, a few keys, and she was offered up a backup port which she quickly shoved the spike into.

It occured to her, for a moment, that she had no idea what these spikes might really do. Yet, she didn't really care. This was just a job to get herself off a very short- it was done, she pulled out the spike and quickly left the scene. Jumping back over to the next rooftop and scurrying down an alternate exit point and off into the slums leaving as little a trace as possible.
