Yep, he'd totally gotten addicted, no matter what he might say.

"Uhm, I don't remember exactly? All I remember is there was a lot of skin-on-skin contact, some guy yelling about his ancestors, and then there was this thing with a tree and... a wookie mating ritual? Maybe I just misunderstood."

[Petrus Karath]

"Oh." Petrus sighed, smiling wryly. "No, that sounds about right. That was from one of the earlier episodes, when they were trying to use 'ancient wookiee magic'-" Petrus made air quotes with his fingers for that, "-to cleanse Jaina of the evil curse that season's villain had put on her."

Petrus shrugged almost apologetically. "It, uh, has a lot of sex scenes."

[Verse Aura]

"Of course it does," she said with a sigh, "well, I guess that does explain the earlier conversation about gorgeous women a lot. This Xanna and Sloan she mentioned? Or this other friend? Don't tell me you're collecting women now, like that guy in The Warrior of Hearts. You've fallen, Petrus."

One thing about Verse was that it was always hard to tell whether she was joking, or serious. At least when it came to the dumb stuff.

[Petrus Karath]

"What? Nooooooooooooo..." Sputtering slightly, Petrus shook his head. "It's not like that."

He frowned. "Although most of my friends are women. Huh." He shrugged. "But I'm not... collecting." He grimaced. "Besides, Jaina Clearbrooke and Dacen Stormheart are true to each other."

[Verse Aura]

"Come on, that show's been on for how many years? Usually the writers of these sort of things shake any established relationships up somewhere around the 4th season, right?"

[Petrus Karath]

"Yeah..." Petrus shrugged. "But they were doing the whole 'will-they won't-they' thing for the first three seasons. So that kept it going for a while. Now there's the strain, because he can't help rescue..." His lips pressed together, suddenly reminded of their own situation.

[Verse Aura]

She wasn't really aware of whatever parallels he saw; still, she giggled.

"Sounds like you've invested maybe a little too much into this holo, Petrus. But I'm glad you had something to keep you going all these years. Even if Alderaan 90210 is better."

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus chuckled. "Yeah, right. Alderaan 90210. There's no way that Alderaanian teens are that dramatic."

He shook his head. "Anyway, I dunno if it kept me going. More like... something to do." He shook his head again. "It doesn't matter. Things are different now."

He sighed, but not too unpleasantly. "I should go. But it's good to see you again, Verse. Really."
