He closed his eyes and began to surrender his conscious mind to the Force. He began searching for the source of the calling... His mind past through time and space... across the hills and valleys to lands he had not seen in such a long time.

A gentle tap on his window caused Rannek to rise from his bed. He walked over to the window and found to his surprise his old master hanging to the ledge with his three-clawed hand.
"Master Talon! What are you doing here."
"We must go Juba. The authorities are coming... they will be here any moment."
"The authorities? What for? The war is ending... Wait... were you part of the plot?"
"There was no plot my padawan..." He let in a deep breath as he climbed inside the window. "It was all lies... We have been betrayed by our own men. I was able to escape. But I learned that they were coming for you... They see you as some kind of threat or accomplice of this imaginary plot. If you do not come they will kill you."
"But what of my parents?"
"We can get word to them once we are safe. But we must go now... we are in grave danger!"
"Alright. Let's go." Juba replied as the pair of them climbed out the window.

He struggled to push that memory aside... the pain attached to it pulled on his heart.
"No... NO!" He said aloud as he tapped into the feelings coursing through him... He knew he would regret it... but he needed to know what it was that was calling him.
