(D2LM) Always Two There Are, Dishwasher, and Junior Assistant

The sprawling worker tenements built in the shadow of the factories and industry that exploit them. Criminals control the streets but make sure not to get to bold lest they be raided by Imperial storm troopers.

"It was working before you were arriving. So..."

Her lips pursed when she saw the grin. The Look moved into phase 2. Rolling her eyes and muttering something in High Pantorian she turned and walked away. Of course this gave Petrus a great view of her as she walked away, hips swaying.

The sound of things slamming came tumbling out of a walk-in closet. Tools clanked as she returned with a bucket full of them. The weight revealed that the muscles in her forearms were nicely toned. A can was smacked down next to his head.

"Sorosuub WD40. I am almost out so do not waste it Mr Sink-breaker." The bucket with tools was roughly placed on the other side of his head.

Petrus raised his hands. "I promise. Wasn't me." He took another deep breath, his eyes following as she walked away, tracing the swaying of her hips. "Hoo boy." Petrus muttered, shaking his head.

"Thank you. I'll be careful." He said, chuckling as tools and the WD40 were set, rather firmly next to him. "I'm just hoping that fixing this'll save me from another demotion."

He applied a little WD40 to the valve, tested it with a hydrospanner, winced, and then applied a little more. "Actually, I could use your help. If you hold this bit here, it means a lot less old sinkwater can spill onto my head." It would be a little tiring to hold, but after seeing her muscles, Petrus was confident she could handle it. It would either require an awkward crouch, or lying down next to him, though.

Xanna clicked her tongue. "Now you are making the dangerous assumption that I do not want a lot of old sinkwater spilling down onto your head."

She let him stew for a full 30 seconds before dropping down next him and shuffling into place on her back under the sink. It seemed obvious what had gone wrong now that she could see it, but would Petrus get this right?

Reaching up to where he had pointed she held the piece he had indicated. "Go on then."

While she let him stew, Petrus made sad eyes at her from under the sink. He was pretty good at it; his clear blue eyes and his handsome even features were rather expressive, although he couldn't seem to stop the twitching at the corners of his lips. "Thank you." He said as she finally slid under next to him.

With her holding the piece, it was much easier. Petrus had the pipe removed, and was adjusting something inside. "Keep holding that. I'll be done soon." He assured her. Her proximity was pleasant, almost companionable.

"So..." Petrus began, even as he frowned down into the pipe. "Tell me something else about you? From before, maybe? Like, training on Devaron, or about your master. I... kinda like talking about old times, I guess." There was a sort of fond sadness in his blue eyes.
