[Day 1 - EM] Can you Hear me Now? (Event)

Can you Hear me Now?

Event Type: Origin, Criminal, Heist
Participants: Criminal Origin
Timeslots: Early Morning

Description: Captain Hrugos has made good on his threat and mobilized the Imperial soldiers in and around the slums to crackdown and threaten the people Vandil has a plan but first she needs you to insert the data spikes into the Imperial communications towers.

Rules: Players can do this groups of up to three players, one additional player increases the difficulty of all rolls by 1 and two additional players increases the difficulty by 1 and upgrades the difficulty by 1, turning a purple die into a red but they one player can assist another in each step. Larger groups garner more scrutiny.

Heist rules apply but they cannot be done for the last roll and with a modification that if solo they affect your next roll. Players should create a separate thread to track their progress so if going as a group all players should roll in the same thread. If solo put all rolls in a single post but if in a group each player should do a single roll until all steps are completed. Post a link to your thread in this thread.

The Right Target: This is a Perception or Streetwise check at Average to find the right Tower if the player gets three or more successes or a Triumph, even if the roll fails, they find one unguarded and can easily insert the data spike, job done. Failure here increases the difficulty by 1 for all future rolls for this specific tower, i.e. if in a group. If in a group can do one tower per member of the team.

Next choose one of four options, if in a group a player cannot choose the same option again once used. Failing this step increases the difficulty of the final step by 1.

Dakka, Dakka, Dakka: Violence works, the character makes a combat skill check at Easy difficulty to take out some storm troopers.

Cut the Red Wire?: The player makes a Mechanics or Skullduggery check to bypass security at Easy difficulty to get at the target.

Never look Down!: The player makes a Stealth or Coordination check to bypass the defenses at Easy difficulty to get at the target.

I know Things!: Lore Underworld or Lore Outer Rim to use your knowledge to skirt the patrols, at Easy difficulty.

Once this is complete just have to insert the Data Spike.

Plug and Play?: The player makes a Mechanics or Computer check at Easy, if they fail they can try again at the same difficulty but the roll is upgraded by 1, failure a second time means the data spike is ruined.

A Despair rolled increases Suspicion of that character by .2 per Despair.

Rewards/Outcome: For each data spike inserted one can earn 300 credits or reduce their Obligation by 5. If a violent option was chosen increase Suspicion by .5 for all involved. Failure earns nothing.
