Dak had dipped away from the festivities of the street art fair to meet up with someone who could maybe help him out with some direction.
He headed to a secluded little spot that likely housed the person/people he was looking for. He approached the non descript door and knocked on it.

The agents let him in once they determine his identity and then show him to the back where Yusandr is cleaning her weapons.

Dak nodded to them and took down the hood of his cloak "Yusandr right? I've got a little proposition for you, something that could work out well for the resistance and bad for the empire. Interested?"

"I have certain skills that could be very useful in removing certain...problems for the resistance. Taking some pieces off the board so to speak. I used to do wet for the Republic during the clone wars and some free lance things. I want to use these skills to hit the local imperial garrison." There was a bit of fire in his eyes though his tone was for the most part normal "but I need direction, I can go after any target I come across or I could have someone telling me where they want my bolts going."

She didn't like where it was heading but she also knew that this was what was needed. She said, "We can feed you names and faces."

He nodded "that's all I need and in return you all can have as much or as little information as you want. I can also gather intel if youd like but my specialty lies in a different area of expertise." He hated writting reports, his were always full of spelling and grammar errors but they were a necesarry part of the job back in the day.

"I think pulling the trigger is good enough," she said to the man.
"You must be a hard man," she added.

Dak gave her a small smile "They say killing takes away a part of your soul. Well that's not true, at least I dont think it is. I lived a certain life which gave me the tools I needed to learn how to sleep when the piles of bodies try and keep you awake. If that makes me a hard man then sure but I like to think of myself as someone willing to do the necesarry thing."

"I'm a soldier and did many things I ain't proud of and others I am, and killing is what needs to be done at times. Just... always been in battle not like a sniper," she said honestly.

Dak shrugged "Like I said, I've been trained to be able to handle the things over people cant. It's actually a lot less personal than more close quarter killings. Target half a mile away pull a trigger and they drop a second later. You pack up and leave. But it is colder too and not everyone has the stomach for that."

"Definitely, in battle you don't always know if you struck a killing blow. You're moving to the next objective but a marksman, you know... and the enemy knows that too, probably not a good spot to be a marksman if you get caught," she considered.
"More importantly, I wanted to thank you for volunteering for the mission this morning. I really didn't get a chance to catch up with the team... a lot to coordinate."

Dak simply nodded "Of course. I was happy to do it. I have spent far too long trying to keep myself safe, lying low and all that. It was time I did something for a change." He relaxed back in his chair "and man it has been a while since I was on a suicide run. That was uhh intense."

Dak chuckles "you and me both. We couldnt have really asked for a smoother op. Little to no casualties, only minor complications. Definitely something to be celebrated."

"Agreed but things are only going to get harder from here, we hit them hard and the Empire is going to strike back," she said honestly as she cleaned her weapons.
"Folks will have to be prepared for that."

Dak nodded slowly "yeah, yeah they will but we knew that when we did it. That's how these things go, I've seen it before they'll either hit back ina big way or they'll turn the people against us. Paint us as terrorists and fanatics. The real question will be do we have the strength to help the people when the empire does turn them against us. Will be able to fight for them as we are vilified and hated."

"I do, but I am not sure everyone will, this is a volunteer operation and there is no big reward or payout but keeping Bankor... free, it's idealistic but also scary," she said honestly.

The Cathar sat back and nodded "yup rebellions are built on willpower and not much else, rarely any profit in them and only good as political maneuvers in extreme cases." Dak had incited one or two rebellions on CIS controlled worlds in the past. "But in this case it's the right thing to do."
He paused for a moment and gave Yusandr an appreciative look "You're a strong woman Yusandr, the resistance is lucky to have you."

She chuckled and said, "I am just doing what needs doing, if it wasn't me it would be some other malakas trying to herd these cats."

Dak smiled "and that right there is what makes you strong, most people are happy to let the other person do it. Where you take action." Its admirable.

“We’ll see, but thanks for the vote of confidence. I just do what I know and sitting by doing nothing is not for me. Just like you, I got to do something,” she said honestly.
