[D3EN] Warrior's Clean-Up

The viewing party had been, more or less, a success. Goodbyes had been said, and the apartment now had a normal amount of furniture. With a sigh, Petrus poked the thermostat, returning it to normal levels.

Of course, there was still more things to be done. Glasses were here and there, snack bowls and discarded snacks, the various sorts of uncleanliness that came after even a rather tame party like this one. Old Petrus probably would have left it. Heck, old Petrus probably would have fallen asleep on the couch in his underwear.

This Petrus grabbed a broom, ready to clean!

Sacha hung around a little time after the watch was over. "... Could you use some help cleaning up?"

Petrus looked at her a moment, then nodded with a smile. "Sure. That sounds great. Whatever you can do would be appreciated." He began to sweep, gathering up the food debris from the floor.

He looked up from his task at her, smiling wryly. "So... what'd you think? As ridiculous as I made it sound?"

Floats has fallen asleep, probably on someone if they weren't careful.

Jenna had excused herself to the washroom sometime right after the final scene, wishing most everyone a good night with the unspoken promise to start cleaning up after.

Wasn't a long shower, just enough to get the grime of the day off, but it was exactly what she needed and then some. Coming out of the refresher she was wearing a modest t-shirt with boy-shorts style underwear, dark blue in color.

"Still around?" she asked, words gargled a bit by the built up toothpaste. Toothbrush still in hand she held it to indicate floats on the bed, "Guess you're not the only one though."

"Honestly, it was surprisingly engaging. It was also ridiculous, but nothing too bad this time aside from the whole 'oath taking precedence over a kid' thing," she replied as she started to gather up trash. "That gobsmacked me so hard I think my brain was just processing that the rest of the time and everything else was like, 'sure, why not?'"

She nodded to Jenna. "Yeah... Thought I'd help out." Get my mind off things maybe. "I'm... not tired anyway."

"Not her," she indicated floats again with the brush, chuckled, and then quickly moved across the room on bare feet to the kitchen sink and spit, rinsing out with a cup located beside it.

Murmuring in her sleep
"Noooooo, not the mega-rancor trapdoor nooooooo"

Sweep, sweep. Chuckling, Petrus looked at Floats. "I dunno whether to wake her up, or toss a blanket over her." He shrugged. "Maybe we'll give her a little more time."

As he swept, he looked at Sacha. "I thought oaths were, like a super big thing to Mandalorians. Sorry, I don't mean to offend. I just don't know how it works."

"No offense taken. There's no reason you should know all the ins and outs of just one of many cultures in the galaxy. An oath is important - it's a matter of honor to make good on your agreements," she explained. "But Tribe comes first, especially children and foundlings. Adoption and education of the next generation is of primary importance."

She went quiet for a moment, leaving it at that.

Petrus nodded. "So, if you swore an oath, but then the tribe's children were in danger... that supersedes the oath? Huh." Petrus said. "If anything, that makes honor sound more confusing. But I guess if you know a code, really know it, it seems natural, yeah?" Speaking from some experience.

Coming to a decision, Petrus pulled a thin blanket from the back of the couch, draping it over the Nautolan.

The Nautolan curls up, still muttering about assassins, rancors and controversial recastings.

"Yeah. Every time," she replied firmly. "Much like many codes, it can be confusing, ambiguous, and there are a lot of different interpretations of the minutiae. Especially among people who know it really well."

She glanced over and Floats. "That's adorable."

Leaving her brush cleaned off by the side of the sink she cleaned a bit of the glasses nearest to her hand while the others spoke, ensuring each was made spotless before she put it back in its place on the counter. Walking back out of the kitchen she went for a closet nearest her room, spare linens and the like, glancing toward Sacha as she passed, "Never knew many like you, but," she paused, "worked with one recently actually. Never really had much cause to stop and chat about things."

Shifting through the closets she'd found an old, spare pillow and fluffed it up. Shifting through the rest of a pillowcase to find for the poor Nautolan girl, "How did you two meet anyway?" she asked, looking over her shoulder at her brother and the Mandalorian.

Petrus shrugged. "That sounds pretty good to me. Children are important. I'm not gonna disagree on that."

He turned, smiling fondly at Floats. "Yeah. She's had a rough couple of days." He sighed, sweeping carefully around her.

He glanced at Jenna, clearing his throat. "Uhhh... buying a sponge?" Smiling sheepishly, Petrus shrugged.

"I was getting snacks. We got to talking about the show for obvious reasons," she explained, tapping her helmet. Her eyes turned to Floats. "Yeah. She's a friend. I was there for some of it. Helped her grab her bug-out bag after her shop was raided."

"Now there are some people who lack honor."

Jenna nodded, stuffing the pillow into the case and then fluffing it up again. Raising herself up at the knees she somewhat gracefully swept around the room toward the couch, gently, ever so gently, shifting the pillow under the poor sleepy Nautolan girls head. "Guess you got to being curious how they represented you then?" she asked. Jenna herself found a distinct lacking interest in Crime dramas, after all.

Mia paused washing the dishes and filled up a glass of water. She didn't remember Floats drinking anything but a glass of water in the morning was often good. And maybe especially so, for a Nautolan. Nautical!

The tall blonde went back to focusing on the cleaning at hand. It was her matronly duty to make sure the 'kid' wouldn't end up living in squalor due to one hosted party.

"Basically. I ended up being funny in that way, and it took my mind off things." She admitted. "It's been a... challenging day for me, as well."

"Well, I'm glad," she cast the Mandalorian a brief smile. Tidying up a quick few pillows and discarded things around her feet. Taking what was garbage over toward the kitchen and getting it tossed away in the receptacle. Still around on the other side of the counter she leaned in against it, laying her hands onto the side and leaning in toward Mia, "Hun, you really don't have to."

"Oh yeah?" Petrus asked quietly. "How's that?"

His sweeping took him around Floats, and around to where Sacha was gathering trash.

"... We lost two of our number today," she admitted, murmuring quietly. Her voice sounded as young as she was for once. "They... Their bodies weren't in good condition. And I freaked out someone when we were retrieving the second one. Then some people tried intimidating us while a friend and I were scavenging... Which is admittedly minor, but it didn't improve things."

Petrus grimaced. "Probably Bone Pickers. I've had some run-ins with them before."

He looked at her, his blue eyes gentle. "I'm sorry, though. Losing people..." He swallowed. "That's hard. Uh... what happened? Or, don't tell me if you don't want to. But, y'know, you can if you want to."

"One of them was a kid. He and his protector were attacked by predators. We met the pack when we were retrieving the latter," she explained as she started pushing furniture (aside from the one Floats was sacked out on) back into place. "I... uh... I'm not completely sure what happened, but I kept the pack from attacking us as we got the second body, at least. So... lack of more casualties is a silver lining, I guess."

"A kid?" Petrus face twisted. "I'm sorry Sacha. I don't know..." He brushed a hand back through his hair. "I'm sorry." His blue eyes were sad as he looked at her.

He let out a breath. "At least you recovered them, even if you're not quite sure how. I could see getting... battle adrenaline or something in a case like that."
