Shadows of Bankor

Bowze stalked his way back to Dove's place to meet with...the senator of Tion. He could hardly believe it...another CIS here? He also could not believe the fact that Dove had brought her to a compromised location.

Eeeeeeeeeeh long was his internal sigh

He observed the place for a while before approaching and knocking at the door.

The door opens and she smiled and said, "Oh you finally made it, I was just enjoying a friendly chat."

Bowze was torn between two internal thoughts: AAAAARGH! and I knew it. Sometimes being a smartass was'nt worth it.

''Good morning'' he said, composing himself ''Who were you talking to?''

"I was just informing Madame Senator all about your work, but I only know so much as your lowly secretary," she winked.

From inside he hears, "Is that the General?"

Bowze raise both eyebrows simultaneously. He does not need to remind himself of how dangerous that woman is...

''I do wonder how much you know, exactly.''

She just smiled and stepped aside, “Please General, come in and join us for tea.”


The Senator rose slowly and said, "Good morning, it is a pleasure to meet you."

Bowze entered warily and and gave a light bow to the dignitary

''Good morning senator. It is a pleasure to meet you as well...How is your recovery?''

She smiled and said, "After my ordeal it has been well, but still not as fast as I like. Thank you for asking."

''I cannot imagine what it must have been like in that place. I hope it will be nothing but a distant memory soon.''

He glanced at the unnamed assassin

''Did my friend here give you good company?''

She nodded at his kind words and then said, "She has been lovely company and spoke highly of you. I am curious what has brought you all the way out to Bankor? Retirement?"

"I wish it was Senator but I came here to hide from imperial assassins..." He paused oddly "...with mixed results so far." He could not help but glance at his *assistant* "I am sure that Bankor having what it seems to be more Jedi per square inch then anywhere else in the Galaxy does not quite help."

“Should we be concerned, General?” She offered at his quip and look.

''I'll leave that to your instincts Senator.'' he said ''But there is little to do in the immediate.''

He took a deep breath

''Might I ask what my assistant in yourself have been discussing? I would hate to waste your time by repeating what is not needed''

"She was actually telling me about a rather luxurious cruise you two went on for business? It sounded all rather glamorous," she said with mild amusement.


"I said only good things, I promise, General," the woman added.

''Business...yes'' he replied with a tired smile. ''I could not stay all night due to ther affairs I needed to attend to and I did not go there as a General.''

Maker, why can't I be just back pushing wood squares on a map? That was entertaining and safe

''That is where my assistant proposed a partnership, if I recall''

"And now we work so well together we practically finish each other's..." she offered.

Bowze was convinced she had decided to kill him with cheese or malke his life so awkward he'd take his own life to escape the indignity.

''...tax forms?'' he replied, not sure of what she was getting at

"Yep, no tax form is from us," she responded.


"I see, that is is interesting," the Senator replied. "So you mentioned assassins, have there been attempts on your life and if so do you know by whom?"

''At least once. In this appartment, in fact.''

His tone left no room for assumption of any joke

''I know her face but she never told me her name''

That gave her pause, as she considered bringing that up to Dove when next they spoke.

"Did you speak with the assassin, was she after Dove as well?"

''No, she was only after me it would seem. I would not, however, assume that this place is not under some sort of surveillance.''

She nodded not feeling much better about that news. She said, "I am so sorry for what you have endured, what can we do to aid in the capture or removal of this assassin?"

His secretary looks at him as well.

''For now just concentrate on your own security Senator.'' Bowze said, a trickle of sweat running down his neck

''I do not want to put you in more danger then you already are. I will communicate with you or Dove in the future days...For now I must leave.''

He turned to his *assistant*

''We have urgent business to attend to.''

The secretary rose and followed him out and said, "It was nice speaking with you!"

The Senator rose to see them out.

Once the proper greeting where out of the way and the door closed, Bowze turned to face his possible still assassin.

''Are you hungry?''
