Mia woke up in a stir. She looked outside of her apartment and, at first, felt intense fear. It would have been a nice reality if the Empire had decided to change their ways, continue to help the common folk. But she had known that to be a childish dream, that there was only one response for this government and that was to resist.
And with that, her fear turned to hope. The more the Empire tried to push its people, the harder the people would push back. She sent a message over to Ria'la, hoping he'd have great footage of these events to show the rest of the galaxy.
But first was immediate survival. She picked up Miles, her pet spider, inside his jar and looked inside Dove's room. Not there, not in the rest of the apartment, was the dynamite blonde around. Hopefully she hadn't gone up in flames like the dynamite. Afterwards, she needed to get to Petrus. This might have been for him, after all. And she took not the path of least resistance but the shortest one.
Mia ran shoulder first into the wall separating their apartments and looked around. "Oh yeah! I could call him instead," she said, pulling out her comlink. She sent messages to people closest to her and then went back to her room to throw her belongings into her bag.
"I'm making Dove clean this all up," she joked to her little spider companion...
