The thing about gangs. (Day 6 Early Evening)

It probably wasn't the best day to be in and around Rygor, but with little to do besides huddle in a secret base and be bored, Astin decided to venture out.

He had recalled the other day when out drinking, a certain ugly purple speeder that looked like it came from a gang of Gammoreans called the Dirty Demons. It likely was a bit pointless to investigate now, but it didn't hurt. After all someone sold them out.

He found them at a noodle stand eating by their speeder bikes. It was crowded and Imperial soldiers were doing constant patrols.

There was a particular speeder bike he was looking for, and he did a quick look over the bikes to see if it was there, trying to push the thoughts of the Imperial presence from his mind. Paying undue attention to them would likely just draw their ire.

Approaching the stand he looked for a free seat, hoping to get a better look at the gang before taking any further steps.

He does not see the speeder bike in question but they all look pretty similar in coloring.

"Nice bikes." He ooffered to the closest gang member as he took a seat at the counter, trying to play it off as someone mostly interested in idle chit-chat over a meal. Raising a hand a moment later so he could order a beer and bowl of noodles from the proprieter.

A large male Gammorean grunted and said, "Whatcha know about bikes, pale skin?"

AStin reached a hand up to brush itthrough his hair. "I like to tinker on them when I can, used to race them a couple years too. That's a pretty expensive hobby though. Especially in recent years." He chuckled and shook his head.

"Well, for me at least."

"Our bikes are the best, we have good... or had good mechanic," he said looking off sadly.

"Had?" He shook his head sadly. "That seems like a bad biit of luck."

"What happened if ya don't mind me asking? They pass away in a accident?" Such thing happened to bikers fairly regularly.

"Got murdered... weeks ago, her and two friends, right in the street the way I hear it. They found her body in an alley, probably to get her ride," he said with a frown. "Probably the King Lancers."

"Damn." Astin shook his head. "That's a damn shame, ain't right to do someone like that for a their bike." This was followed by a soft frown. "You said a few weeks ago though? Right around the time all those Anzuri were run out of the slums?" He asked, trying recall anything he had heard abotu the King Lancers.

He shook his head. "Why do you think they did it then? Are they new in town and trying to muscle in on your territory?" Astined, a frown still on his lips.

"No idea, they just jealous we have better speeders, always have so they kill our mechanic been trying to convince the boss to hit em hard but they signed up with the Disciple, so you know," the Gammorean trailed off.

"That's rough." Astin said with a shake of his head. "Haven't heard much of the Disciple but I hear it's dangerous business."

He took a sip of his beer and scratched his cheek. "Still crap like that almost makes me want to look into it myself. A beings bike is their life, to just murder someone and take it. That's lower then low."

“You a cop or something?” the large gammorean asked.

"Nah, got too much of a record for them to hire me." He sighed, and shook his head, before looking at the other man. "Truth of the matter is I saw a bike like yours lurking outside my lady friends place a few weeks back. So I kinda wanted to look into it."

He reached a hand up to stroke his mustache. "Hearing about your murdered friend got me to worrying a bit. She tinker's on bikes herself, and well. I don't really want to see her murdered in the streets."

"About three weeks ago." He took a long pull from his beer bottle. "Single rider late, bike was awfully like yours. Flames painted on the side."

"Tried to follow them, but they were long gone by the time I got to chasing."

"I couldn't tell much, didn't think it was a Gammorean like you though." Astin frowned. "Was thinking it might be whoever took it."

"If you find this sleemo, let us know or kill em," the gammorean grunted.

"I will." Astin replied with a nod, he wasn't sure it was the King Lancers that were responsible but he'd look into it.

"Think you could point me in the direction of where some of those Lancerr's hang out, by chance? Gonna look there next."

"They hang out in the slums, go to some piss hole called the Jagga's Hook. Kill one for us, if you would," he said with a dark grin.

"Thanks." He offered the big man a polite nod as he paid for his meal. "And I'll do what I can." Astin finished paying for his meal and making his way off into the night.
