Having been away from the Slums for so long now, Qareme couldn't help but be worried for those who were still trapped there. Being nearly 2 meters tall, it was extremely difficult for the Zabrak to sneak out. Thankfully for her, she had good knowledge of the area, and a few gentle nudges on any lingering troopers meant she was able to make her way into and around the slums pretty safely.

Now she was here, she could see the general situation.


D3 EE into the slums. Streetwise - easy because slums, upgrade because Force user: 3eA+1eC 1 success, 3 advantage

(Ignore the D3, it was rolled today so is meant to be D7...)

(success - advantages to learn something about what's happening in the city? Listening into conversations etc.)

The people manage as they always have but they fear for any further crackdowns. The Empire is everywhere but they manage but conditions are not great by any means.

Is this not too far?

She continued to walk around. Were the empire doing anything to help these people?

D7 EE perception roll to notice anything unusual. Not sure on dif so will roll when GM decides: 3eA 2 successes, 2 advantage


(ooc - looking around to for anything that would stand out. Don't know what diff would be)

It seems both the same and different, the difference being much more storm troopers keeping the 'peace'.

OOC: Nothing stands out, she sees many of the old faces but just with more Empire presence.

Difficulty: 2eD 2 failures, 2 threat

Qareme waited for the next load of troops to pass by before moving towards some of the faces she recognized.

Street peddlers, homeless, and other folks easily overlooked they greet her warmly if warily given the situation.

She stopped by one of the street peddlers.

"How have things been since..." she didn't need to say more, going quiet as a few stormtroopers passed.

One shrugged and said, "Well... can't say good but we get by, if it ain't troopers it's the gangs. Almost rather see troopers than the gangs."

There was logic behind that. Qareme nodded.

"Have they tried taking anyone away?"

I hope they've not started another prison...

"Folks they think are working with the Resistance, yeah a few," the peddler replied.

Of course. Makes sense.

"Do you know where to?"

"Not really, guessing to that ship or somewhere near the foundry?" the peddler replied.

There was a nod.

"I see. Thank you. Look after your own, things will get better."

With that she took a step away, and continued to walk down the street. Keeping an eye out around her for anything more interesting.

Perhaps I should pay the foundry a visit. That may be a bigger risk though

She sees a few troopers question a local and then move on.

This is a bad idea... was the first thought that came to mind as she slowly followed the troopers.

Qareme knew the best way to move around without being noticed. She wasn't truly stealthy, but her time in the slums had taught her a few things about how to not be noticed. The streets were slightly less crowded, and those in the crowds were not the same as before though...

She is good but little did she know that someone noticed her and then noticed she looked like someone from the wanted posters... desperation breeds betrayal.

The troopers come to a checkpoint where they speak with an Imperial officer of their findings.

Unaware someone had noticed her, she crept slightly closer to try and overheard what was being said.

The officer said, "New orders, we re to leave the primitives alone for the time being. Focus on stamping down these criminals, get back to work."

He then turned and added to another group, "I want your squad to focus on the primitive ruins, our prize will arrive on the morrow and I want us to be the first to respond."

I assume criminals means the resistance, but leaving the Aznuri alone? Something arriving there tomorrow?

She remained where she was, continuing to listen.

What is 'the prize'? Is it a weapon or a person?

He then opened a holo to someone she can't see and said, "Of course my lord, I have done as instructed."

Then she heard from behind a helmeted voice, "Hands up, I got you dead to rights. Gonna be a big payday for me."

Qareme frowned slightly, looking over her shoulder as she slowly raised her hands.

"I am unsure what I have done to deserve this."

"Does not matter, your worth creds. Head over to the officer so I can collect," the voice responded.
