[Day 8 - ME] The Last Supper (Combat Event)

The Last Supper

The undercity lair of the Disciple used to be a bank it looks like or some similar structure. Several armed thugs waited outside on edge waiting for anything to give them a reason to pull the trigger. Inside was possibly a literal army of Crimson Dawn gangsters and the ultimate prize, the Disciple.
OOC: This is a combat thread and event thread open to five players. It will begin with a combat against a Gang Leader and four groups of thugs.
Each skill check can have one person assist.
Once complete the players will need to complete two skill checks at Hard, first a Skullduggery Check or Mechanics check to break open the thick bulkhead door. They can also try and blow it open or cut it open as well if the roll fails or in lieu of. Next they need to complete a Vigilance or Perception check at 2 red and a Purple, and then wait for GM input.
Optional Objective: The Disciple has a great deal of information stored on her databanks, some people might want this data. This will open up after the second possible Combat, this will lead to a Hard combat encounter on top of eventually facing the Disciple.
To access the Databanks they need to complete a Daunting Skullduggery or Mechanics check with proper tools and then during the combat someone must complete a Daunting Computers check to access the databanks.

Dak had his weapons all ready and armor secured as they moved through the under city hunting a crime boss. His rifle in hand he held to the back of the group ready to create distance between the targets and himself.

Daunt was there to take down the Disciple for no grander purpose than his personal matters. He accepted whatever was giving him the strength to deliver this outcome.

At least the weather proved a good cover for the group, Dove mused as they got ready. Like before, her face was partially concealed by pulling up the lengthy collar of her sweater, and the thermal cloak provided a hood for more concealment.

Djanik couldn't say he was thrilled to be down here, but he wasn't going to let some offworld punk gangster come here and threaten his kids.
His street kids. Not his actual kids. He didn't have actual kids.
Blaster in hand, he wished he'd been able to get some of that stormtrooper armor... but at least he had a good gun and his wits.
Lowering his scanner goggles over his eyes to cut through the dark, he gave an assenting nod.

OOC: Someone can make a Stealth check at 2 Challenge (Red) and Difficulty die (Purple) and a setback for moving as a group, or you can charge in and start at Medium.
Either way make a Cool check for Initiative.

As the dark forms appeared down the underground street, Djanik was quite ready for them.
Flicking a set of charge caps into the ancient blaster, he pivoted the cylinder closed, stating in a low, clear voice. "Contact."

Dove only acknowledged Jabber's earlier remark with a wink, her smile hidden underneath the collar, but seemed otherwise focused on the job before them. As always, she kept her cools about her.
She touched the side of her head briefly, and the cybernetic neural recorder activated.

OOC: Players can get close enough to try and do stealth take downs of the enemies. This requires a Stealth a check at Average; they can also use Brawl or Melee at Hard to make the takedown. Each player can attempt this, but only once.
Or they can engage at Medium with a free upgrade to their first round of attacks. There is a Gang Leader and four groups of thugs

Jabber looks at the people doing sneaky takedowns and sighs. Of course... make up a plan that is physically impossible for the 1.1m Jawa to follow along with

Jabber raises his blaster and fires on the chief guard, hoping to take the serious one out quick and let the others mob the remaining.

The gang leader is shot and now all are alert, they are now exposed. He reacts quickly rushing towards Jabber and firing while the remaining thugs fire at Jurdak but miss!
He says into his comm, "Crimson Dawn, be ready!"
OOC: Now in combat, Gang Leader is at short to everyone but Jabber and remaining group of Thugs. gang Leader moves to Short of Jabber and hist for 12 wounds and adds a boost die to next ally. Minions Aim at Jurdak and miss they have one threat!
Gang Leader takes 4 wounds. He alerts the inside that they are under attack as incidental.

Well, so much for stealth. Dove drew her lucky blaster and took careful aim at the group of thugs she had failed to find a stealthy approach at. The blaster bolts were very effective.
