[Astin Denive]

This really wasn't Astin's day, shot twice, once from a big cannon all he really wanted to do was grab a beer. Sadly he had thing to do, hefting the missile tube onto his shoulder; the damn thing likely weighed as much as Floats, he took a moment to activate all it's safeties before pointing it towards the vehicle.

The shot was on target, but it was far from clean, and likely came with all sorts of consequences.

[Dapper Dog]

The shot slams into the armored transport! It blasts a melted hole into the side of the transport exposing Hrugos and the pilot but the Missile Tube sizes due to the rain and mud.

OOC: Missile Tube will not fire without an Average Mechanics check, Despair used. Hrugos gets a boost to his next action.

[Neela Takee]

Neela charged forward hopping over ruins and then slid under fire through the mud and rolled to her feet and used the opening to strike at Hrugos... it is fatal. She frowned and said, "I am sorry Ivus."

OOC: Hit for 8 wounds Linked for another 8 both at Breach 1, and 1 advantage for boost die to next ally. Maneuver to short and 2 strain for second maneuver to engage, Hrugos is removed form combat.

With their commander down and the battle quickly turning against them the troopers assault in the opposite direction away form the heroes.

[Astin Denive]

Well that was an unexpected end, patting the missle tube affectionatly, Astin let ti slide to the ground and followed it himself a few moments later. A stom seemed to be just the thing he needed at the moment, so taking one from his belt pouch he shot it up as close to the claster bruns as he could manage, and moments later was feeling better.

Stimpack to heal 5 wounds.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

The battlefield got very quiet, very quickly and Ru'ni was taken by surprise as the troopers retreated. He would not pursue them, instead he went and checked on Astin.

"You know that Dove would've been real upset with me if you'd died out here because of this...plot."

[Astin Denive]

"Ah, women are like that, even the hot super spy ones." Astin replied with a shrug, and glancing down at his wounds. He'd need a new shirt after this, and a shower.

"Plus it ain't really your fault anyways." There was a moments pause. "Well not all your fault at least."

[Ru'ni Wayne]

Glancing over to where his shot had blasted several troopers at once, he wondered how this had come to pass.

"She could've turned on us. Could've easily gone back to old friends huh? Guess that says something."

[Astin Denive]

"I suppose it does, but it doesn't change the fact that this should never have come to pass." Astin paused for a moment, not bothering to look at the others.

"I figured you had something like this in mind Ru'ni, though I was a bit disappointed in how you went about it. If you and the lady over there hadn't agreed on a trial though, I would of fought with your side, even knowing the consequences."

"Because you were right, that woman deserves a trial, and when the Jedi decided to just let her go. Well, they said members of their order were above the law. That kind of thing makes a person doubt them, doubt this rebellion we have. Makes you believe that maybe the Imps weren't lying about the Jedi trying to take over the Republic. Things that could tear this little group of ours in two if left to fester." He shook his head. "Repentance is a fine thing, and forgiveness grand, but they aren't the only thing we have to keep in mind."

He sighed, and stood up, levering the missile tube onto his shoulder. "Or that's mostly take on things, not that it matters much."

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"Makes you wonder though, don't it? How many other groups like the Aznuri deserve their pound of flesh? We can call her to trial for what she has done here but how many other planets, other systems have felt her wrath?"

Ru'ni heads over to the tank, and retrieves a bundle of his own before returning to Astin.

"Wonder if even she can remember them all?" He asks no-one in particular as he looks in Neela's direction.

[Neela Takee]

"One, you are a sexist pig, and two, they never just let me go... where was I going to go, to a prison no one had?" she said calmly.

"I made my place on the island just so I could help people, I come into the city to help those I can, it's not an excuse but the Jedi didn't ignore the issue. The Aznuri have been avoiding everyone since the massacre, with good reason. The Jedi would offer that hand to any that wish to redeem themselves, I am glad that has not changed."

"This rebellion is made of people with dark pasts, mine darker than most, there will come a time when we all have to look in the mirror and face our actions," she said quietly.

"Wonder if even she can remember them all?" He asks no-one in particular as he looks in Neela's direction.

"Can you?" she asked. "It would be a lie to say I recall every person I hurt, but that is the same for everyone... when it comes to large or small acts of cruelty."

[Astin Denive]

"See what I mean about the don't really matter thing?" Astin offered to Ru'ni, with a wry smile. "Everyone was their own opinion on things." Astin gave a nod towards Neela, ru'ni and all the others..."Since we are done here I'll be going."

[Qareme Torth]

Qareme powered down her staff, checking herself for serious injuries before moving to stand with Neela. The words of Astin and Ru'ni brought a frown to her face.

"It is a shame you are as rude as you are uninformed, Astin."

She looked to Neela.

"Are you unhurt?"

[Sinnya]

“Oh, come on.” Slinging her rifle strap across her shoulder, Sinnya closed the distance from her firing post to where the others clustered. “Come off it with the ‘everyone makes mistakes’ poodoo, Neela. It cheapens you.”

She really wanted to believe in redemption, but by the great wyrm, Neela made it so hard sometimes.

She scowled as she paused on her path through the rubble. “I don’t want you dead, but don’t handwave what you did, not when you’re standing in the mess you made, where some of my people are still buried. It cheapens what you did to us and everyone else, and it cheapens what you went through to come back from that.” She shook her head. “Look, you can either tell us it actually matters how much you’ve changed, or you can argue you weren’t such a monster before and what you did then shouldn’t matter so much to the people who survived it. You can’t have both, you just can’t. Better pick which one you believe before you come to face the elders.”

With that, she turned her back and stalked off after Astin. She trusted the former inquisitor to show up for her date with Aznuri justice—even if she didn’t fully trust Neela not to jam her foot in her mouth once she got there—but she couldn’t stand to stay and talk with her right now, not here in the ruins of the Enclave.

Neela watched her go and sighed.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"Save your pretty words for when they are needed, and pray that my people are swayed by them." Ru'ni hefts the large bundle over his shoulder in a fireman's carry, and jogs off after Sinnya and Astin, pausing by Qareme as he exits.

"I trust you will see her to the Sky Tree Sea? I will meet you at the edge of the Shadowlands to guide you in."

[Qareme Torth]

There was a nod to Ru'ni.

"We shall be there. I give you my word."

[Astin Denive]

Qareme powered down her staff, checking herself for serious injuries before moving to stand with Neela. The words of Astin and Ru'ni brought a frown to her face.

She looked to Neela.

"I'll take insults from the former inquistor, she was right about me being a sexist pig even though she was eavesdropping, and at least she made a valid argument."

"You on the other hand? Insulting someone while not caring about what your comrade said." He shook his head.

He spit on the ground. "You're the worst kind of villain, the self-righteous kind."

"Talk to me again and I'll shoot, ya, then you can run me through with the pretty light stick of yoours and feel good about."

With that he turned and left.

She turned back to Neela.

"If you are injured Master Takee I know of a healer."

Qareme had been shot, and she looked a little worse for wear, but she was more concerned for Neelas health.

"And I promise you that she and her advocates will get a fair chance to speak her case. It is our way." He adds the last with a little shame in his voice, before jogging after the heated Astin.

"Thank you. May the Force be with you" she offered to Ru'ni as he left.

[Sacha Ordo]

Sacha stood near Qareme. "You look worse for wear yourself, Qareme. I have stims if you need one."

Her helmet turned toward Ru'ni. Her words were calm, but with an audible edge. "Have concern for yourself, aruetii."

[Qareme Torth]

"You are kind, but no need" Qareme lowered her head in thanks towards the Mandalorian woman "I do not wish to use up anothers important resource when there are still battles to come."
