Restorative Justice
Captain Hrugos has been given the order to eliminate traitor Inquisitor with extreme fire power. He has brought a Storm Trooper Sergeant leading four squads of storm troopers in groups of four in case the Aznuri traitor fails to complete the job. The good Captain will be commanding from his armored transport… a war machine ready to bring death to his enemies.
He would prefer to kill them all but Elder Brother has given him strict instructions to follow and that strange man scares him.
OOC: This is open to five players, the players will have to decide if they are siding with the traitor or with Neela. If they side with the traitor they have to face Neela in battle and will be rewarded with a four thousand credit reward given to them by the Empire. The Aznuri will see justice done. There may be other repercussions of this choice that will be revealed when the event is complete. This can only be taken if every player sides with the traitor.
If they do not unanimously side with the traitor they face Captain Hrugas in battle, Neela will assist though. Regardless of the outcome the Aznuri will hear that one of their own was denied vengeance by the Resistance and will abandon them and join the Empire as puppets as they will manipulate the situation to show that they wanted Neela dead as well, it will bring conflict and confusion to the people of the Sky Tree Sea. The Chaldi and Hbanu will not abandon the Resistance but the rest will… this may take the Aznuri down a dark road… other repercussions will be revealed later.

Neela arrived in the ruins and waited, she did not come unarmed but she was ready to face the judgment of the Aznuri. The Jedi were well aware of this meeting and the ones behind it, Astin and Ru’ni.
She recited the Jedi Code to herself as she waited quietly.

OOC: The choice outcomes are malleable based on players actions but that is the basic outcome as a starting point.

Ru'ni had been staking out the Enclave for hours. He had hoped to steal a few minutes with Neela before things turned immediately violent.
"Their voices still cry out to me in the night. Hundreds of Aznuri sent to their deaths, a loss it will take generations to recover from, if at all." He exposited as he approached Neela, hands at his side, his bow across his back. "And for what?"
He was managing not to shout, but there was much anger in his voice.

Neela closed her eyes and said calmly, “I killed them, and I will carry that burden and for that I can only offer my contrition and service to their memory. They are now one with the Force, and there is nothing I can do to return them to life.”
“I can only do what I can to make amends and attempt to heal an impossible wound. If that is not enough then take your vengeance, but working with the Empire will only beget more tragedy.”

Sacha stood near Neela, hand resting lightly on the hilt of her sword. She had her issues with the woman, and justice would be had... but not at the hands of the Empire. She stood ready to back her up.
"Our foundlings and warriors died, as well. She, at least, shares and interest in justice being done." Sacha spoke up in response, her voice quiet. "Did you forget that your current 'allies' happily claimed credit for and celebrated your peoples' destruction? We've allied with people like them in our past - please, don't make the same mistake."

Astin was there, though in the background he'd told Dove he would be here for this and he was. He was a bit disappointed that Ru'no had apparently brought the Imps into this, though not entirely surprised.
For the moment he waited, hoping something would come out of this chatter.

"There is nothing anyone can do to bring them back." He hissed petulantly.
"But you and your Empire came claiming to help giving jobs at the Foundry, claiming to protect us from these Jedi, then you do this to us, and again to the Mandalorians. We were no threat! We weren't part of that long dead cult! Their souls can't be restored, but they can be given peace."

"What allies? This is a one and done deal. This creature dies for her leading role in the devastation of my people and that is it." Ru'ni replies. "How can she speak of justice when but a few weeks ago we were at her throat for what she had done to us ALL, each prepared to kill the other."

Qareme was following up on something she had overheard the previous day about a prize, and discovered a scene that immediately required her involvement. She heard the words shouted across the battlefield and closed her eyes for a few moments before walking forward.
"It is easy to blame one person for a tragedy, and Neela knows her involvement. It is easy to suggest one deal with the Empire, but to cut one deal with a group that were as much to blame as anyone else then believe they will not then change the terms of the deal when they are standing here with that much weaponry?"
She stopped near Neela, looking between the two of them.
"The cycle of vengeance and blood must stop, before it consumed you. The Dark Side shrouds this whole area."

“Aznuri, enough discussion finish this killer of your people and be done with it. You will not earn your pay for anything less than death,” Captain Hrugos said loudly from the safety of his armored transport.
“Your people cry out for vengeance, and the Empire will gladly give it to them and punish this rogue element, severely!”

"It's never one and done. What Qareme says is true. They're honorless, and will twist people up in their schemes, including the Aznuri," she replied.

"And how can I believe the words of one who changes sides as swiftly as the weather? What do you know of peace. You wanted to destroy the biggest element of peace on this whole planet, and the people who protect it."

"One battle at a time," Ru'ni replies feeling pulled left and right by all these people, by former allies who had shown such good judgment until this incident. "And one life for a hundred souls seems fair trade to me. Don't you remember what she did to those other prisoners Qareme? I was there when we rescued you, I saw the state of them. You can forgive her so easily?"

"She captured me, tied me up, and tortured many. I remember it well. However, you ask me if I can forgive so easily, and I can answer that; yes. I can and have already forgiven her."
Qareme moved forward towards Ru'ni.
"I can do this because I know she cannot forgive herself. Neela was afraid, and acted under the blindfold of Darkness. This does not excuse her actions, and Neela does not excuse them herself, but to hold vengeance against someone for their actions invites the Dark Side to blind you. If you hold onto your hate, your anger, it will blind you to those who are still here. It will leave blood on the memories of those who are gone. Do you want to honour their memory, or shroud it in anger?"

“If there’s any justice for our people here, it won’t come from him.” Sinnya looked like she wanted to spit in Hrugos’s direction. “One lightsaber didn’t take all those lives alone. The troopers are as much poison as she was. I can’t watch the people invite that poison in, not again.”

"So it's as simple as that, she's not to blame because the darkness made her do it?" Ru'ni mocks slightly, but then recalls the darkness he had felt growing within him after some of the things he had done and the bravado turns into a shiver.
"My people cry for vengeance it is their way. I have sworn it and must find it. Where would I point my arrow if not at the one who led the attack, I cannot take on all who fought there."
He remembers Qareme fighting there, fighting for her people and he wonders if she knows something he does not...

"No, he and his ilk tried to put the Aznuri under their thumb, never again." Ru'ni speaks, more bravely than he currently feels as his mind whizzes from all the contradicting thoughts running through it.
If they're right and I betray the Dark One, he will take it out on my people. But if I continue, will we ever truly be free?

"The man behind you, who brings his army to oversee your vengeance only to turn on you after you have done so. Do you believe they will simply allow you to walk away? Or will they continue to use your anger to turn on others. Friends, allies. The Empire is only interested in controlling the galaxy, your people are not safe."
Qareme looked to Sinnya then back at Ru'ni.
"I ask you to look beyond your vengeance, Ru'ni, and see what the Empire is truly doing here."

Ru'ni looks the woman up and down, she could have easily struck him down when they first saw each other today. He had no doubts of that, so he decided that perhaps there was something to her contrition.
She did not make excuses, she did not beg for mercy...
"Then you will return for the judgment of the people willingly and with no tricks. This is OUR loss more not just MINE and they deserve a say in this matter."

“Yes. That’s what is right,” Sinnya said as Ru’ni reached the conclusion she herself had been coming to these past weeks. “This is for all the people, not just one man. And not for the skycursed Empire to solve for us.”

The Captain frowned and said, “Leave it to a primitive to cock up a simple act of retribution. Kill them all, none survive.”
He closed the hatch and the transport aimed the turret cannon and fired!
OOC: Resilience or Coordination check at Hard or suffer 9 wounds reduced by soak, then roll Vigilance for initiative.
