I will be closing event threads around 7 to 8 AM in the morning EST time.

There will be a combat event on Day 2, it may go a little slow since it will be during the week but it should be fine. There will be a general event in the afternoon slots and probably some new Origin RP events, especially for the Criminals guessing evening time.

Also [Redacted] event in the afternoon slots as well.

So I was trying to think what word[s] Sinnya might use to talk about the foundry's union-busting security forces, because there're presumably no "Pinkertons" in a galaxy far away...

and that was when I learned that the phrase "goon squad" was in fact coined in the specific context of anti/pro-union scrapping in the 30s.

This is almost as good as learning back in the day that "loot" is a borrowing from Hindi acquired in the process of the British plunder of India, and that when the Brits stole a dog from the Chinese royal palace during the Opium Wars, they straight up named it "Looty" and gave it to Queen V, who never changed the name.

I noted in another thread but I am all for working with players to add personal story to the game or maybe inject some by adding stuff but p[lease if you do go ”looking” for trouble please let the GM know sooner than later I don’t read every thread and not every thread needs my input.

All I ask is that you use your PF or the GM NPC thread sooner than later if you have an idea, I can’t say I will fulfill as asked like making for a combat thread or something on the last day of a game day is probably not great but I might offer something.

Bring on the fun, but just please give me a heads up sooner than later in those happenstances.

Oh and definitely ping me if it looks like I have forgotten a thread.
