Restorative Justice event

As this is an event that kind of needs a player agreement, I thought it would be worth opening it up for discussion about the sides so that we can come to some kind of an agreement.

I'm interested in this event (as I've been involved with Neela since very early in the game) and very much want to protect her.

Astin has a bit of interest here, being as he kinda helped set it up.

I’m ambivalent because I feel pretty invested in aspects of the subplot, but also neither possible option fits the character’s goals as I’ve been playing them (won’t get into that further here but it does sting a bit). So I both want to be involved and don’t. :?

Sacha, being there for the Mando attack and learning directly from Neela, is very invested. I'd like to be there.

Being that the event is about picking a side, I was hoping for more of an idea about sides from people :D

That wasn't super clear.

That said, Sacha would be for protecting her. For now and at this event, anyway.

Edited opening post for clarity, my bad.

All else being as it is, Sinnya would not be inclined to see Hrugos as a fit instrument of Aznuri justice (to say the least). That’d probably mean fighting the Imps now, but definitely still pressing the Jedi to come up with some kind of restitution later.

I'm not sure how viable it is, but Ru'ni was hoping to get a brief chat with Inquis before the fighting started, but being a big combat event and timeframes and all, understand if it's not possible.

At the moment Ru'ni wants revenge. The reason he's fixated on 13, is because she was the one he saw leading the attack. He's open to being convinced of a different target for his revenge, but at the moment, she is it.

In current state he is obviously on the kill Neela plan, as unpopular as that is.

If we have time to talk before the imperial attack (especially Ru’ni) that would be pretty neat...?

I’m not totally sure what the premise is for the rest of us being there. Does anybody else know it’s an ambush, or are we just showing up for the hypothetical conversation? What do you guys think?

The Jedi know the rest I guess can justify their own reasons.

I don't know if the event is full. If it's 100% combat I don't have a lot to contribute, but I might step in if there's space and the promise of conversation.

Whether or not I go in, I have some thoughts. IC/OOC investment is mostly in the hearts and minds of the Anzuri. There's a little theological curiosity about what redemption means in Neela's case.

Taking the constraints of the event as given:
OOC: If they side with the traitor they have to face Neela in battle and will be rewarded with a four thousand credit reward given to them by the Empire. The Aznuri will see justice done. There may be other repercussions of this choice that will be revealed when the event is complete. This can only be taken if every player sides with the traitor.

If they do not unanimously side with the traitor they face Captain Hrugas in battle, Neela will assist though. Regardless of the outcome the Aznuri will hear that one of their own was denied vengeance by the Resistance and will abandon them and join the Empire as puppets as they will manipulate the situation to show that they wanted Neela dead as well, it will bring conflict and confusion to the people of the Sky Tree Sea. The Chaldi and Hbanu will not abandon the Resistance but the rest will… this may take the Aznuri down a dark road… other repercussions will be revealed later.
So, either we fight Neela and keep the Anzuri, or we don't and lose the Anzuri, regardless of if she lives or dies. It's not here, but I think it's implied that Neela's death also-maybe buys the promise of Imperial protection. The second option is bad beyond just Neela, because many Anzuri end up getting manipulated (and almost certainly ultimately screwed) by the Empire, going down "a dark road."

So, Vaya/me are curious, what will Neela do when presented with these facts? That seems pretty important to whether or not she needs, or deserves, protection.

I admit I was interested to see what living redemption looks like, and my OOC sentiments are very anti-death-as-punishment. I also emphatically don't want my suggestion to be some weird thing where we have to social-fu Neela into accepting suicide-by-stormtrooper, but, given the setup those are my thoughts.

Combat just started, so probably more that right now.

No one knows the outcomes will happen in game.

That is purely player knowledge.

But broadly deductible? Or spellable-outable by Ru'ni, at least in part? "Offer a propaganda coup to the Empire by frustrating a majority of Anzuri?"

IC: After the chats, Ru'ni is leaning towards (all going well) returning with Neela for judgment and the head of Hrugos as a scapegoat.

That could possibly be deduced I suppose.

So from the opening post:

He has brought a Storm Trooper Sergeant leading four squads of storm troopers in groups of four in case the Aznuri traitor fails to complete the job. The good Captain will be commanding from his armored transport… a war machine ready to bring death to his enemies.

I make that:
1 sergeant
4x group of 4 troopers
1 war machine

That look right? Time to consider the order of doing things

With my blast bow, I'm better off shooting at the groups I think.

Quick strike for potential extra boost.
Also Precise Aim to maybe drop some of those potential Nemesis bonii when the flunkies are down

And go squish. Getting you to cover early might not be a bad idea?

Between the setback for weather and for cover, you might stand a better chance

I'm not is a hurry to go first, being as I am at work. I'll check in every now and again though.

Astin is pretty standard in combat. So just poke me here and I'll go.
