Day 9 Omni-Planning Thread

So! We have two heists, one worth 15: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=849

And one worth 20: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=850

We have a space battle that I assume Djanik's gonna be all over. :) : viewtopic.php?f=14&t=848

Each of these events is 4 players.

And we have the Vader Escape Room: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=846 (Currently Locked)
This event uses these skills: Athletics, Computers, Coordination, Leadership, Mechanics, Perception, Skullduggery, or Stealth; No single player may repeat and individual skill.

And we will have a final event that will open if we do a decent job: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=847 (Currently Locked)

There's the one everyone can do with a ton of Setback: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=851
Shouldn't need any planning, but I thought I'd be thorough.

Initial thoughts?

The Vader Escape and the Combat will open later those are the two locked events for now.

That should be all of them.

There is no chance to heal after Battle of Bankor so do that one first I would say.

I have no interest in the Vader escape. Will likely hand the fighter piloting to others as well. Unless the rest of the crew is interested in it.

Will be posting in battle of bankor later this evening.

I’d love to join on one of the two heists, if there is room. Agility/cunning/presence rogue-type here. :D

Can also fly competently if we end up really lacking there, though I lack related talents. (Resume: 1 TIE Fighter-jacking).

I have done about one limited event per session, though, I think (at least if the Chaldi rescue counts), so I’ll yield priority to those who’ve had fewer turns.

Twi’lek goes squish and is probably best off avoiding Mr. Vader.

I'm unlikely to be much use in these events (bunch of 3 traits and little applicable skills) so will probably go for frontline in Battle thread since wounds will be less relevant to me

So, who wants where? Bowze is partial to the Huk heist but having him there would kinda ruin the purpose of having resistance peeps join the operation.

I guess that the Station heist is a go for him?

No way I am fighting Vader unless tax forms are his weakness

Hmmm heist wise I'm really only great for stealth 1y3g1B-1S, perception 1y2g, survival 2y1g, I have 4 agility so any agility based roll at average I have decent odds with.

I could pilot if we needed and there are ships to spare as mine is still not in working order. Or could be a gunner on a freighter that wants one. Just have 4 agility but also true aim works on gunnery checks so shooting pool of 2y2g

I could do Heist potentially. Sacha is really great with mechanics, and generally good at stuff involving being smart. Not so good at stealth, but... Tune in To The Right Station could work for her skill set.

She can stab a person real good and is tough, so if a fight breaks out, there's that.

I have never done a heist event, though, so I'm willing to cede to someone who knows what's going on.

I'm interested in Joint Operations In The Dark because of story reasons. But I'm happy as long as at least one Resistance member is there (maybe Jennah's first mission?!). :D

Dove has: Athletics 1eP+1eA, Leadership 1eP+2eA, Perception 1eP+2eA, Skulduggery 1eP+2eA for Heist-skills.

Vaya is great at heists (lots of skills at 4 dice, 1-2 yellow), and would be pretty OK at crewing a larger ship in the space-battle if someone can lend her a toolkit (but not good at shooting or flying on her own).

I'm not sure if I'm reading the Vader event right -- is every round combat, while also we make those other checks? Or do we only get attacked if we go slow?

Either way, it sounds rough! Maybe let's revisit that when we see how brutalized we are after the Battle...

ETA: I think I also have done at least one limited event per session if the Chaldi battle counts, so I'm happy to fit in anywhere!

IC Verse would probably want to run distraction on Vader, or go take over the Star Destroyer.

OOC I'm kind of just going "Nope, nope, nope"

I mean, I'll do it if nobody else does it, but this time I'm giving priority to people who haven't been in as many limited events as I have. :?

Every round you get a skill check if he catches up then someone has to face him, which reduces the skill checks you can make. And possibly gets that character killed or maimed.

I should probably say Astin is Agility 3, intelligence 3, cunning 3. Most of his skills skew towards piloting, but he is good at things like mechanics as well.

Jenna's best ability to help will largely, by and far, be in the Heist-style threads. Of which we appear to have plenty.

With a rounded ability when it comes to thieving, she's got a lot of 1/2's and 2/1's.

I am happy with wherever the resistance decides they need Jenna most!

First proper mission, somewhere, is go!

I honestly think the Vader event is pretty doable. The question is, who are the two people you feed to him?

I have: add force dice social stuff, the all important lightsaber, the one off Jedi Knight talent and 3's in Brawn/Cunning/Will/Pres.

Kind of want to do the Dictator thread but I'm game to join the Vader thread if needed. Four folks with lightsabers skip straight to part 2 on that one it seems.

Edit: Honestly, with no stat/skills at 4 I think I'd be a liability

I'll happily do whatever I'm needed for, but I'm not sure I'd be useful in any of the limited events.

Discipline, Lightsaber and Vigilance are my best rolls (1eA+2eP)
I have Enhance for Athletics and Coordination (2eA+1eP+1eF)

I came here to remind people about the listening post boost! (Dapper, does that apply to our Resilience rolls, also? By the book noncombat, but I thought I'd ask).

Also, for those of use who bought crash kits, Petrus asked this very helpful question that everyone should see the answer to:

Heavy rain adds a setback die to all checks in this thread. Destiny used for the first 15 players.
Is there environmental gear that can offset that setback? Thermal cloak, maybe?
Sure.
