Then he leaned forward a little on the table towards Dove "See this, this right here is what I like about you. I knew from before that you were confident, capable, brave, and you're gorgeous and you know it and I had a grudging respect from you just from that" he gave their locked together hands a soft squeeze "but getting to know you and that you're also so caring and just decent in a way. I'm sorry I know im complimenting you too much but you're just not what I expected Dove Gray."

"I could say the same," she said softly. "I mean... I didn't have such high thoughts back then. Thought you were a fool to be following them and you seemed like the kind of guy who'd be better to have on my side, rather than on the enemy's side. But now? I'm glad you're here, and for once we're on the same side."

Dove favored him with a sincere smile. "You're a good guy. You probably always were, I just didn't think about it then due to our different allegiances. And I'm glad to know I have someone in the same... business as myself here on the team."

Dak chuckled a bit "Oh trust me I didnt think good things about you all the time back then. just when I let myself admit it I knew I respected you and your skill."

He returned her smile with one of his own "Yeah I'm glad to have you watching my back rather than trying to stab it."

"Mmm it is a fine back too," she remarked in a purring tone. "I think I prefer watching it."
