Astin wasn't an artist, not by a long shot. I mean he could draw if it really came down to it, and maybe play a bit of the guitar, but he wasnt skilled enough at either to want to show off.

As for critiquing people? Well, he could but he tended to be a bit blunt and hurt peoples feelings. So he skipped trying that as well. Instead he moved through the crowd occasionally stopping to loot over a painting or listen to the song. Even then though it was more often attractive females who got his attention.

Astin at least would be in luck to hear Dove perform.

When her time in the spotlight was over, she joined in with the crowd that was enjoying the other displays and performances. She sighed softly, but with a measure of content. It had been a... very interesting day, and just performing was for her a great way to just unwind in a strange sense.

"Come on, come all, see Boulderman!" Mia announced from her stall. She placed her hands on her hips, blatantly disregarding how ridiculous her 'sculpture' was. But post-post-post-post-post modern art was often ridiculous, so why not?

"Seems like things worked out and you ended up with a stage anyways." Astin offered as he spotted the blonde in the crowd and made his way over. A polite nod given to Mia and her boulderman on the way.

Djanik stopped at boulderman.

His own work had been a mixed bag, but there was something delightfully... straightforward... about the pile of rocks.

He gazed upon it, lost in thought, a blue pillar man, opposite the stone, the crowd breaking around him as he stared down the obelisk of a stoneman.

After her short story, Qareme moved to walk through the streets, enjoying the other art on display. It was nice to be able to just...walk around. Being outside of the prison cell was her favorite thing of the day.

Another Zabrak wandered around, just for the sake of getting the mood of the street in the wake of the deployment of the Dictator.

"A stage of sorts, yeah," she chuckled, wiping some sweat from her brow. "It seemed well-recieved too, so that's a good way to round off the day. What about you? Not gonna try your hand at some show?"

After catching Dove's performance, Petrus wandered about, admiring all the displays. The sight of a familiar Zabrak, though, got his attention, and he made his way through the crowd to her.

"Hey." He said, looking up at her with a smile. "Long time no see."

"Petrus Karath" Qareme smiled to her friend "it is wonderful to see you. I had expected one of your shows to be on at this time, yet you are here enjoying the art on display. Truly there is hope for us all."

Hopefully he got she was joking, Qareme was poor at expressing it.

"Are you well?"

Mirialan's art was very direct, exactly what he personally sought. Unapologetic conflict. Daunt stopped by to take a better look at it.

She noticed the Zabrak look at her art.

"Do you like it?" She asked, "It's about the spirit of friendship and revolucion, facing adversity together and coming out on top. But of course, seen through the lens of... of... of something, hence why it looks the way it does."

After delivering his piece to honor his people, there was an obvious lack of native representation this year for obvious reasons, Ru'ni wandered the market offering a smile and nod to those he recognized as he went.

"Nope. Doesn't start for an hour and a half." Petrus said blandly, also joking. "But... I know what you mean. And..." He looked at her more seriously. "I think there is hope for us all."

"I'll admit, I didn't really think art was your thing." He said, looking around. "But you're finding things you like?"

A tall nemoidian came by, accompanied by the squeaky wheels of a trolley

''Hello, I will take this Boulder Man'' he stated

"It is simplistically and unashamedly honest." Ru'ni commented as he did the rounds of all the pieces, nodding appreciatively at the piece. "The subject matter is unusual and may be controversial, but it is not a piece for public display I think, but private contemplation."

There was a small laugh "it is a very colourful experience, and while my offering is not on display for others to see the words will carry on in the memories of those who listened."

Qareme looked at the arts on display before adding "what did you create?"

"Some things are meant to all to see," she said solemnly toward Ru'ni. She wasn't really sure what to say to him after so many of his people got murdered the other day, but at least today they struck back at those that did it, and that was worth showing the world...

...it was just a shame this was the best quality art available to show it.

"Oh, I see. The friendship part could benefit from another character in the main plan though. For now, it looks like a great solitary accomplishment against red glowstick-wielding TIE-riding foe. Or... I think I get it! Maybe it's not foe at all, but the one to be overpowered by friendship within and turned friend? The admission of wrongness is there."

He paused. "Anyhow, I really like it. It's brutal, simple, desolate, savage. This 'coming out on top' is the message I get from it. It radiates strongly."

Listening to Daunt's critique, and Verse's explanation, Ru'ni nodded along at the different viewpoints.

"It just goes to show that art is subjective, yes? I do agree that it is a powerfully evocative piece.'

"The other character is in the TIE-Fighter," she explained with a nod. "But I like your interpretation of turning people into friends."

"Right, how else would it be flying! Ingenious. If I had your talent I'd add some gore to make it even more evocative, but that's a personal preference that doesn't reflect on the quality of the work." He nodded confidently.

Petrus blinked. "Lighten up, huh? You?" After a few moments, he grinned. "I gotta say, I can't wait to see the results. I mean, not that I don't like you the way you are..." He added hurriedly, "-but hey, I'll just be happy if someone else laughs at my jokes."

He reddened a little, his grip shifting on the notebook he held. "Oh, just a few sketches. I dunno if you remember, but I used to do that, you know, when we were students." They weren't very good... but what was fear of criticism?

With crooked smile, Petrus opened up the notebook. "Here." He showed her what was fairly unmistakably a sketch of her; amateurish, but not bad. She wore robes and a serene expression, her chin tilted upwards just a little.

"Oh but there wasn't any gore... I mean, something like that would just overpower the message of friendship and hope, wouldn't it?"
