[MA-D6] The part brokers

Jabber does his best haggling, and trying to set reasonable contacts for the supply of parts. After all, this new site needs to be well supplied, doesn't it?

Well, no one wants to be tied down to a contract with a group of criminals, especially ones that might be blown to smithereens before they have the chance to pay. However, more than a few merchants are none too happy about the recent disturbances in the city. They agree to let a number of things "fall off the back of the speeder" that occurred during Imperial shakedowns. They are going to bill the Empire for the cost, not that they expect to see a credit, but it sends a nice message to their insurance companies.

That wrangling done, Jabber extends his senses and tries to track down the Jawa contingent that he had met in the market before.

He sees them and three storm troopers accosting them.

Jabber backs up and then runs around the corner, pretending to be panting for breath.
"Rust and ruin, what kind of glow sticks were those?" He points at the stormtroopers and does his best to seem desperate. "Help! Help! Glowstick weapons! Frrrooooom pssssh!" Jabber does his best to imitate the legendary sound.
"Back that way!" He points back in the direction he came, hoping that it will give a distraction for the others to get away.

The storm troopers turn and run after this Jedi much to the joy of his fellow jawa.
His usual contact said, "Why good show old chap, those rapscallions were bad for business. If you had not come along I would have had to give them a stern rapping!"

"They're bad for business for everyone. And it's always best to save the raps for when we are right at their nethers, if you can forgive my bluntness." Jabber throws a playful fist at eye level for a Jawa, but groin level for a human.
"I don't think I need to ask how business is."

"How can we help a dear friend, old chap," the jawa gestured to follow, "business is... it could be better but these nefarious Imperial soldiers accost us as if we are common highwayjawa or cutpurses! I never cut a purse in my life, they are always on the ground ready for me to peruse their contents and then return to their rightful owner at exorbitant prices."

"A true snapshot of business acumen my friends." Jabber nods along in agreement. "Well, it so happens that I may have an opportunity for you. One that might take you out of the line of sight of these stormtroopers harassing your business. I don't suppose you would object to giving them a really big rap. And perhaps you can make some credits in the bargain..."

"You have my ears, please elucidate this fortuitous opportunity, old chap," the jawa replied.

"There's a group of beings who stumbled into an old observation station from the last war. Inside were a number of discarded pieces of equipment from the last war. And they are of the mind that an, ahem, organized citizen defense would be useful for keeping marginalized groups such as ourselves protected. If you catch my understanding."
"They are looking for as many parts as they can afford, and would appreciate any with technical skills to bring them online...along with those who can keep them well stocked and supplied. Is this something you would be interested in?"
