[D2 ME - Dak's Cabin] Old Flames of a Sort

[Dove Gray]

"Liar," her laugh was like a soft purr. He was much cuter up close compared to being on the other side of a sniper's scope.

She let herself be drawn in, but did not quite go in for the kill yet. Instead, her forehead touched his and she could feel his breath on her face just as much as her could probably feel hers. "Oh, you're really going to make me work for it, aren't you?" Dove almost whispered, putting away her glass for now to free up her hands.

She could hear the steady rumbling purr emitting from the base of his throat. He gave her a devilish grin "When have you ever known for me to make anything easy." He said with a breathy quality to his voice.

Dak paused and took a few seconds to breath her in and feel the weight of her forehead on his. He closed his eyes for a moment and opened them his Amber colored eyes regarding her closely " I never noticed how good you smell." He spoke softly, almost a whisper barely audible over the sound of the crackling firewood nearby. His hand traveled up her long leg to rest on her hip. He had thought about it before, once or twice, but had never actually believed something like this might ever happen.

Her perfume was a subtle scent, rather than an overbearing obvious added-on effect, allowing its undertones of mingle with her natural scent. Whatever perfume it was, it had traces of cinnamon, vanilla... and something floral...

"Well, the last time we were this close I was trying to strangle you," Dove laughed breathily, "so I don't blame you for not noticing then."

With her hands now free, the hard manicured nails scratched slowly over Dak's visible skin. Or rather, short fur. It felt a bit like caressing a tiger-pelt... if the pelt was still warm, breathing, and purring soothingly. "Mm, it feels much nicer like this."

Dove leaned in closer, but instead of going for the obvious kiss, she went for Dak's jawline and down his neck... but instead of kissing, the better description was playful love bites. On a human, it probably would've been a bit too rough play, but for a Cathar's fur and thicker skin, it seemed just right.

He chuckled a bit as his back arched a little and he exposed more of his neck to her "yes...I do believe I like this a bit more." He said as he leaned into her a bit, his own hands exploring her curves, he was careful to retract his claws as he did so.

Her nails would find well defined muscles while they scratched along his body. Dak had a normal looking physique but it was clear when you touched him that underneath the fur he hid a rather athletic set of muscles which tended when her nails moved over them.

As she expertly teased him he laughed lightly "Something gives me the feeling I'm not the only one who has thought about this moment before."

"In our line of work, don't we need some kind of fantasies to unwind with at the end of the day?" she chuckled, which was followed up with a couple more insistent bites.

Her lithe form pressed suggestively against Dak's. "And we had a brush we death earlier today. Don't you want a nice reminder to feel really alive again after such an encounter, hmmm?"

The soft rumbling purr in his throat grew a little louder and a soft moan escaped his lips as she teased and bit his skin. As she pressed against him his hand wound around her and pressed her to him as he fell back on the couch pulling her on top of him "Feeling alive is in high priority today."

His hands roamed her curves and found her rear giving it a light slap "I always wondered how you could seduce so many high ranking officials and I think I'm beginning to see how hard to resist you are." He was struggling to hold on to his mind, to not get lost in the eroticism, the fantasy that was Dove Gray.

She took a deep breath as she found herself suddenly on top, which did make for obvious movement of her chest. "Oh!" the slap came a little unexpected but not unwelcome.

"I think you had a pretty good idea even then, Kitten." Her hips shifted in a teasing motion. "You know that I get what I want, one way or another."

Gripping the shirt he had slipped on earlier, Dove pulled him up forcefully for a rough kiss on the mouth this time.

Oh and the motion of her chest certainly did not go unnoticed, how could it? His sharp predator eyes were adapted to notice any sudden movements, yeah that was it.

He growled a little, a primal sound like a jungle cat "normally I'd object to being called kitten but I suppose you can have a pass." Then she pulled him into the kiss which acted like a battering ram to his will and resolve, his pent up passion unleashed and felt like fire in his veins. He returned the kiss enthusiastically parting his lips slightly for his tongue to advance into her mouth slightly, not diving in but almost asking for permission he grazes her tongue the feel certainly rougher than a human tongue but not the sandpaper of a cat's, textured rather than abrasive. It was likely a novel sensation in any case.

The red lips parted to welcome him eagerly, and she couldn't deny that the sensation was a new and exciting experience. While Dove couldn't actually purr like Dak could, she came pretty close to it as they locked together.

What a time to be alive.

At some point things had transitioned to Dak's bed, the Cathar stretched languidly. He turned on his side to the lovely Dove next to him "Well now that certainly made up for all the times you tried to kill me." He said in a low, warm purring voice.

Dove lazily rolled over on her stomach, arms crossed into an impromptu head-rest for the time being. "Glad we could square that one off then. I hear people say it's bad to keep old grudges alive, or something," she mused out loud, a deep sigh following.

"If only all the problems in the galaxy could be solved with an old-fashioned good time, huh."

Dak nodded propping himself up on an elbow as he looked at her "Well I suppose that would make for a rather interesting galaxy." He thought for a moment "Would bring a new meaning to the term aggresive negotiations." He said with a laugh.

[Dove Gray]

She smirked back at him. "Aggressive negotiations can certainly be fun, with some partners more than others." Idly Dove brought her thumb to her lips to rub away some of the smeared lipstick from the negotiations earlier.

"You know, there is a strange kind of luck, with both of us here on the planet. Our kind aren't exactly plentiful in the galaxy at large, and to run into eachother here, I might almost start believing in coincidences and this Force thing that some people speak of."

Dak would surely need a cycle in the refresher after that, cosmetics tended to stick to fur a little worse than skin in his experience. "Well I have to temper how aggressiveI can be in these situations. Most other species skin cant handle my claws very well."

He laid back as he thought about what she said, his arm extended out toward her in a sort of invitation. Some people were cuddlers after, some weren't. Dove didnt strike him as one but more surprising things have happened.

After he thought for a second he replied "Well I always knew the force was a thing, I've seen Jedi take down entire squadron of droids with supernatural feats of strength and agility. But I never much believed in fate or that there was any direction to all this chaos." He took a deep breath "but I suppose you're right the two of us meeting again, like this after all these years.....the odds are slim to say the least."

The invitation for cuddling wasn't turned down, and she rolled over and into the offered spot. "Well, it's one thing to see the tricks they can do, it's another to think that this Force is some... mystical stuff with a will or something like that. The way the Jedi talked about it made it seem like some kind of weird shit."

A single finger traced the muscles along his arm.

"It's not only us. All sorts of people are gathering here. It's kind of like we're being presented with a unique opportunity on the galactic stage... yeah, I know, it sounds overly dramatic."

His arm would curl around her and pull her close to his chest warm fur encircled her. His own hand would relocate to her hip as they lay together. As she traced his arm a soft rumbling purr would form in his chest, faint rumblings of which she would surely feel with their close proximity.

"Yeah I may have seen their abilities but I never really bought into the religious side of it all. It seemed like a hokey ancient religion and the swords they fought with? I'd have a good blaster and a bit if distance over those things anyday." He thought for a bit "Though you are right, things are weird. I dont know about galactic stage and all that, never really thought about that sort of stuff. I just know I'm in a position to help do something so I will. They cant get away with it all." There was a half to the purring for a moment as he could feel himself getting a little upset again.

Sensing the purring coming to a halt, Dove did the only sensible thing a cat-lover would do; which was to give the cat more pets. Instead of tracing his arm with her finger, she moved her hand up to caress the soft spot of fur under Dak's chin. No cat could resist chin-scritches, after all.

"Mmm, we both are. In a position to do something. But I promise I can let the subject drop for a moment if you will indulge me just teeny-tiny little bit?" Sometimes, Dove Gray managed to look innocent, and this was one such moment as she looked at him with a slightly pouty expression.

He knew what she was doing and he didnt want to give into it but he sighed a little as her finger set to their tender ministrations eventually that soft slow rumble began eminating from his chest and he nuzzled his head into the top of hers

His eyes had closed while she administered scritches but now one opened slowly as he looked down at her. He clearly wasnt buying the innocent routine but the purring continued as he looked at her "mhmm." He agreed non verbally waiting to see what her request would be.

She wasn't going to draw it out anymore than nescessary, so they could sooner move onto relaxatio. "This bounty you found - don't worry, I'm not gonna do anything with her - but you said she's the daughter of the military commander? I happen to have a few cards up my sleeve that could use that situation to cause some trouble in the ranks of the Imps... the more I know, the better I can play my hand." Gambling-euphemisms aside, Dove continued, "Like, if he's covering up for her, or why she got that bounty on her. Anything you know that could be considered juicy scandal."

Dak opened both eyes and stared at her for a moment, thinking things through. He finally sighed "By the Ancestors I hope we're on the same side here."

Dak took a deep breath "While tracking that bounty we stumbled upon the girl who claimed her real name was Baji Hrugos daughter of Captain Hrugos AKA the Brute of Rygor. In exchange for us not hauling her in she agreed to meet up with us if we need it and give her a name and that person would become a person of non-interest to the imperial presence. For that and 1600 credits we let her go. I dont have any confirmation of the relationship, and we haven't used the service yet but I can give you a heads up after we do and if it works which I'm sure could be a scandal."

He paused obviously mulling things over "Dove I'm taking a chance telking you this, if it pans out it could be a big thing for me but could really screw me if it went sideways." He looked down locking eyes with her "I hope I'm making the right choice."

"If you think I'm truly on the Imps' side, then you've been wrong about me for a long time," she added, a touch defensively even, but she simmered down pretty quickly and let Dak finish.

What he was telling her was... potentially dangerous information, but it needed to be confirmed if it was to be used as a weapon. Specifically, a sticky grenade, she had hoped, to make the Inquisitor lose faith in those who worked with and for him. If the Captain was proven incompetent or busy covering up family issues, then her gambit had been that the Inquisitor would do something about the Brute.

"... I appriciate you sharing it with me honestly. Thank you." It was a rare but truly sincere moment from her. "From what you say, it... well, it could potentially be damning for the Brute if it is his daughter. Make him lose face for his boss, so to speak. But well... it would have to be confirmed. Anyway, I promise I won't do anything about it before clearing it with you. You have my word."

Dak looked slightly ashamed for the thought that she might betray his confidence but it turns out an hour of fun doesnt negate years of adversarial interaction. However this trust he was showing her could be a bridge to truly trusting one another, At least in his mind. having someone capable out there, someone you could trust, that was a priceless thing.

He kissed her forehead "I'm sorry for doubting you, you are kah'hal" the word was said with a much more guttural and growling tongue "It is a word of my people's tongue for a person strong in body and spirit, a proud warrior." He cleared his throat a bit "In any case I'm sure you can do something useful with that info, I just planned on using it to get the empire of peoples backs maybe tell the resistance if they thought it would be useful."

"Ka-hal?" she tried to repeat the word but lacked some key components in her vocal chords to pull it off. "I don't feel much like a warrior, but... thanks. That's kind of sweet of you." It was almost an awkward sincerity, unpainted with smooth flirtatiousness.

"I'm sure we can make that work somehow. With the resistance, or with what I have in mind. Anyway---" Dove relaxed a bit more now, "I promised it wouldn't take up more time, so I think that's enough talking shop, yes?"

Dak chuckled "A warrior is not always all towering muscle or martial prowess. We were warriors in a different kind of war, you had better be one because you've almost punched my ticket enough times itd be embarrassing if you weren't."

He smiled down at her in his arms. "Yea I think that's enough talking shop as you say. Any plans with the rest of your night? It is still rather young."
