Dak saw the stranger that looked familiar coming through the Wild Hills and he figured he'd see what he was up to. Dak approached the man at his fishing spot "Not too many come around these parts, and you look kinda familiar. I seen you around before?"

Ru'ni had promised Xanna that he'd make some contributions to the supplies for the Soup Kitchen. FIsh, you could use fish in soup, right?
So he had come to one of the more well known spots, and was unsurprised to see it busy with two people already hovering around. Unusually howeve, he recognized the pair and raised his hand in greeting, even as he looked for a tree branch to strip down and whittle into shape for his purpose.
"Seems the popular spot and time for a spot of relaxation, gentlemen."
((Getting the hunting roll in now for the session's fishing))

Cathar? He'd seen a few around but never recalled chatting with one. "Maybe?" Astin replied with a shrug. "Maybe around Rygor or something?"
He was pondering it when Ru'ni arrived and he offered the other man a smile. "Certainly seems that way."

Having properly sculpted his fishing stick, he carefully chose a location where his shadow did not cast over the water and laid down next to the pond.
Using a piece of shiny glass in one hand he refracted some light from the blasting sun onto the water then waited patiently to clobber a fish when it rose to the surface to investigate.
It took only a few minutes to prove successful in his endeavour and he tossed the blue skinned trout onto the shore, rolled over onto his back and gazed into the sky.
"Do Cathar?" He wondered out loud, entirely inappropriately, recalling his earlier conversation with Astin.

"Well, you might want to be a bit more specific if you want to ask our compatriot here a question?" Astin replied after observing the odd way Ru'ni fished.
"I mean you could be asking if Cathar like to fish, or like breasts, or like speeder bikes. Any number of things really "
"Unless you're asking if Cathat ladies have breasts." He added after a moment. "I can answer that one for you, they do."

Dak was caught a little off guard by the unspoken conversation the two seemed to be having. The parts that were verbal were....odd to say the least.
"Well yeah Cathar women have breasts, like almost all women do. It's hard to find a humanoid species whose females don't."

"That's what Astin was saying earlier today, that most species do and he thought it odd. I'm no great Xenologist to have much knowledge on the subject, I just thought of it as...I don't know...normal?"
Tucking his hands under his head, he sighed. "To be honest though, after this morning, I'm just grateful for the opportunity to be contemplating anything at all. That was a bit crazy."

Dak looked between the two "interesting conversations you all have. But I guess you're right yeah, it's nice to be alive after all that chaos earlier today. I think that operation went off just about as well as we could have hoped."

Astin was still waiting for the soy fellow to tell him who he really was, but that was a matter for another time. "I guess we had more breasts on our side."
He glanced towards Ru'ni. "Or the force or something."

Dak nodded toward Astin "Well I'll assume you are Astin then, I'm Jurdak but most everyone just calls me Dak." He turned toward Ru'ni "and you are Ru'ni right? We spoke briefly at the enclave a couple days ago and then last night before the mission."

"Mmm hmm." Ru'ni confirmed, tightening up a little at the mention of the former enclave. "Don't suppose you and your friends made that trip to the Tree Sea already? Not sure how receptive the elders will be now."

"We uhh we have not, no. We figured something similar. Not the right time, might not try to anytime soon. I assume they wont be so welcoming of outsiders at the moment."

"Yup, that's me." Astin offered over his shoulder with a smile, pleasure to make your acquaintance, Dak." He fell silent then as he got a bite, apparently absorbed in the sport.

Dak returned the smile "nice to meet you Astin, you an avid fisherman or just do it every now and again for relaxation?"

"Every now and again." He replied with a shrug taking a sip from his beer. Apparently it had just been a nibble on the line.
"It's nice to sit out in the sun with a couple beers, and who knows you might end up with dinner."

"Simple things in life are often the most rewarding. A quiet moment, a good friend, a pretty smile." Ru'ni agreed as he let the warmth of the sun suffuse his body.

"Mmm." Astin grunted his agreement, though he was intent on his fishing.
"Only brought a six pack, but there are five left if either of you want one." He added with a gesture to the cans by the rest of his gear.

"I'll take one, I've got more in my cabin if we need em." He said grabbing a beer and setting up with his own pole a little away from Astin."

Ru'ni shook his head. "I must decline, alcohol does not mix well with the treatment I am taking for my injuries. But I thank you for the offer."
He watched Dak set up, the Cathar considered himself a wilderness type and Ru'ni was curious as to his skills.
Relaxed as he was though, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of panic as the sun shifted behind the Star Destroyer parked in the atmosphere.
"Now that's a big fucking ship."

"Ain't that the truth." Astin murmured as he glanced towards the point in the sky he'd been trying to avoid.
"I don't suppose they'd let me take it for a spin if I asked real nice, would they?" He grinned. "I'd even promise not to crash it... Much."

"Yeah, probably not, but my father used to say you get farther with a kind word and a stick, than with just a stick. Maybe pretty please will work?" He laughed at the absurdity of it all even as he wondered how his people could ever hope to overcome something like that.

"Well, I've only got one stick and if it's not a cute woman in charge of that ship I'm shit out of luck." Astin explained, now paying more attention to the sky and the conversation then his fishing.
It was at that moment a fish started to bite and moments later he was cursing as he was trying to hold onto his beer and real a fish in.

Dak was quick on the up keep deftly plucking Astin's beer from his hand so the man could focus on reeling the fish in "Trust me boys that ship there is too much lady for any one person to handle, but it's one heck of a dream to imagine it. Spent some time on a capital ship once during the clone wars. It was pretty wild."

Astin gave a nod of thanks to Dak, as he struggled to real in the fish without losing it. "Oh, I trust you about that doesn't mean I don't want to try though." He replied with a grin.
"You were in the clone wars though? I didn't take you for that old."
