Dak stood in front of the ashes of his old home, the cabin he had built with his own two hands. He stood with those hands shoved in pockets of a heavy leather jacket surveying the area.

Dak had spent a year building that house and had loved there for another 2. It wasnt much honestly but it was cozy and it had been his. Here he strengthened his resolve, he looked and he thought about everything the Empire had taken from him and the people of Bankor.

As he stood there and stared at the pile of ashes and the surrounding wildland a smile broke out on his lips. It was just the beginning but they've already started to make them pay.

"I was always good at finding things, " she said, a smirk on her lips. Jenna walked up from behind him, up a small incline and thrust her hands into her pockets. On her waist a blaster she never intended or wanted to use, she was probably gonna get another that was a bit less deadly but it remained an insurance policy all the same. "Seems.. with you and Dove, I've been getting pretty good at finding people now too. Maybe I always was a little bit, huh?"

Walking up beside him she looked out at the same view and just took it in for a moment. A gentle breeze blowing some of her hair in front of her face with gentle pushes and tugs.

Dak never looked away from the view as he heard Jenna approach and speak "The two things really arent that different. People are actually usually easier to find than things, especially once you get to know the person." He said with a smile in his voice matching the one on his lips.

He pointed over to an area that was currently just a pile of blackened wood and ashes.but the rough form of a stump could be seen jutting from above the charred wood. "That right there was where this all started I cut that tree down and it was the first one I used to build the frame of my house." He said his voice touched by a mixture of melancholy and nostalgia.

"Went back to Rygor," she started, looking over at the blackened wood. "Saw my own apartment building, the one I used to have with my brother it's.." she shook her head, "it's reassuring. In a way, the Empire took our homes from us and we just found a way to make new ones. Left everything unimportant behind, made a new home somewhere else."

"For a lot of us, for a while, that was the base I'm sure but.." she looked back toward the horizon, "have enough breathing room to choose what happens next. Guess if nothing else comes of this, for now, we have that. Some time and room to breath. Lost plenty, but we're still here so," she shrugged a soft shrug.

Dak smiled "well we thought of it different ways. I considered this place very important honestly. It's part of my fuel against the Empire, it demonstrates to me how they take and destroy whatever they want."

He looked back out over the clearing "but you're right, we have room to decide what happens now, some will go back to their lives I'm sure. Me? I'm not built for the quiet life on a quiet planet, I'll be joining up with this alliance of resistances continue to fight the empire."
