Night at the Nerf [Day 0 - EN]

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak had keen eyes and was almost constantly scanning a room for anything of note. When the singer glanced to the empty table Dak caught it and an eyebrow raised just a hair and he sipped his drink. That was curious indeed.

Then Daunt rose from his spot and Dak looked toward the big man "Calling it an early night?" He asked casually even though it was well within the normal time to head to bed, the first to leave the party signalled the beginning of the end usually.

[Daunt]

"Unless you're up for a dance, Dak? The ladies seem to be too shy tonight." Daunt tilted his head.

“... so, yeah, besides the PhaseOuts, Oridol Daydream has some of the most technically proficient integration of instrumental with vocals. At least out of the chill-hop bands I’ve heard live.” She paused to take a sip of her drink, and while her eyes stayed fixed on Trion, her atennapalps did a quick scan around her and sensed that, perhaps, even her direct audience of one was less engaged than she was. She covered any brief embarrassment with a second sip, a farewell nod to Daunt, and allowing herself to be chivvied into his semi-evacuated spot next to Trion at the bar by the next person over.

“You guys ever get to tour offworld?”

Trion said in a playful but soft tone to Daunt and Dak, "Maybe the men should actually ask..."

She then said to Vaya, "I have... Had an offer to tour offers but... Just wasn't good timing. I'm not sure the rest of the galaxy would care about a small time Bankor band."

"I mean... Never mind. Are you a musician?"

[Jabber]

"Jabber huh? Good name. Wa brings ya do dese pards? Dun' Jawas usually live in de desserd?" Venator asks.

"I like the city life. You never get jobs like this living out as a hermit, and just scuttling around peddling scrap to the end of my days." Jabber shakes his head. "It's not for me."

"I mean... Never mind. Are you a musician?"

“Oh, nah. Closest I ever got was failing to --” scam my way in to “-- earn a kloo horn scholarship for university. Deservedly. Just an audiophile with antennapalps.” She wiggled them for emphasis, and her expression, which had been more intent (or maybe intense) than friendly, changed into a smile. “If you’ve got offers, there’s interest, right? I mean, who gets holonet-big is one part chance cube, three parts corruption, four parts bantha poodoo, but I’ve seen way worse than you get as far as the core worlds. People will pay good credits for at least two out of three of live, off-world, and good. And you've got two of those going without leaving Bankor."

"So why do Jawas live like hermids? Guess da means you're special den." Venator asks a question that probably a lot of people wonder about.

Jabber offers a shrug. "For the reason that a lot of humans do: Our parents did it, and their parents, and their parents before. It's stable...unless you, ya know, happen to steal a droid that a Hutt had its eye on for something."

[Djanik]

Djanik had a sneaking suspicion his own dancing would be ill matched to this style of music and environment.

"I think I may call it a night - I'm sure we'll cross paths again soon."

His drink finished, he rose, gave a lazy two finger salute to the bar, and then headed for the door.

Daunt jested without a change to his expression, indicating that he wouldn't mind Dak being his partner, but then made an opening gesture with his hand, followed by a small bow before the songstress. A bit of old-school courtesy wouldn't hurt, especially that where he came from women were treated with utmost respect. "This man is actually asking. Would you dance?"

"Kriffing straight my man!" Jabber raises his glass a takes a sip. "Plus, I kinda have some favors to pay back. I had the unfortunate necessity to ask a favor of Tididiol, so paying that back is taking priority. Something of a...misunderstanding with another member of the family."

[Dapper Dog]

Vaya's words unwittingly cut through the woman but she strained a smile through the sensitive subject. She knew the woman... Or hoped she didn't realize the waters they were treading in.

Trion said with a saddened smile, "I guess we just have to get lucky."

The offer to dance was taken without hesitation, an escape from dark thoughts and even darker memories. She cursed herself for not being stronger, she emptied her mind danced with Daunt and before long tried to pull anyone in to dance... Keep moving forward.

"I am sure we will have opportunities in the future." He said with a nod, leaving the bartender bartend.

He looked down his drink once more, making he liquid swirl.

How fortuitous, she would have to confirm her findings but if it was true then the Master would be pleased and one more loose end would be removed. She was his Hand, one of many hiding in plain sight.

She pulled her hood up and departed after observing the nemoidian. Things had been boring, but now she had a target, she had prey.

Daunt danced with Trion until the moment when monopolising her would be awkward. Dynamic, coordinated movement, attuning to another being in motion, however, turned out to be exhilarating and took some unwanted anxieties off his mind. But then the night set in and it was time to get a brief shut-eye and prepare for the job. He wouldn't have time to get back to his hunting lodge, so he would end up in some capsule in Rygor.
