[Day 5 - EA] The Horus Heresy [Combat Event]

The 13th Sister grinned as she stood over Horus and the Enclave burned… it had begun with a strafing run by a squadron of Tie Fighters and then her forces moved in and began the slaughter, the Mandalorians were not an easy foe and the losses were high but they were out numbered…


Horus had done honorable battle but the sorceress was too skilled in combat and now he laid there with a searing hole in his gut defiant to the last as he spat, “I will not submit! This-is-the-way!”

OOC: This is a combat thread for up to four players, the 13th Sister, four squads of Storm Troopers, and an elite Storm Trooper of the Inquisitorious. If the 13th Sister is reduced to at least half wounds she will flee or if more than half the minion groups are eliminated the attack will be stalled and she will flee.

Players begin at Medium range and have tents, cabins, and trees to use as cover. It is raining so that reduces visibility adding two setback to all ranged attacks.

Floats shakily grips her trust wrench. Truth be told, things looked bad, real bad.

But she'd just stood by (and gotten shot) the last time the empire got a purge going, there was no way in tarnation she was going to let it happen again, certainly not to them Mandalorian fellahs. Sure they were a little strange with the hat hair and all, but Sacha was a friend and friends don't let friends get massacred.

So she re-tightens the hold on her wrench, waiting for the moment to strike.

The 13th Sister turned and shouted over the rain as it sizzled on her lit crimson lightsaber, “Good… I told you, you would live in interesting times Sacha. Don’t worry you won’t die here, but when Lord Vader is done with you… you may wish you had.”

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak had told Sacha she would have his support so here he was ready to fall back to a sniping position. He was tired of the 13th sister and her goons pushing people around.

"I've got your back, Floats," Mia said, placing a hand on her shoulder, "Can't have our star getting too cut up, right?" She then drew her blaster and moved up with her riot shield. "Or your front, I suppose. Just remember to stay behind it."

The 13th Sister impales a Mandalorian foundling as the black clad Inquisitor Trooper spun a shock staff and the Storm Trooper turned to engage the heroes.

She commanded her people, “Kill them all, but Sacha is mine.” She walked forward leaving the foundling impaled before her lightsaber flew to her hand to casually deflect a blaster bolt. The rain hissing off her blade.

OOC: 13th Sister (Nemesis 3, Defense 1) at Medium range, Inquisitor Trooper (Nemesis 1, Defense 1) at Short, 4 Storm Trooper Minion Groups (4 per) 2 at Short and 2 at Medium; it is raining so that reduces visibility adding two setback to all ranged attacks.

"Time to rumble!" Mia shouted before sprinting forward in a way to cover up Floats from incoming attacks. She then ran forward and gave the stormtroopers a light tap with her fist. If only she had chosen to throw boulders at them instead.

Floats hurries after her friend, charging through the rain with abandon before jumping forward while twisting her wrench with one motion, sending a long beam of green plasma crackling into the air before she lands amidst the stormtrooper squad, swinging left and right with big strokes, cleanly bisecting one
"Real sorry! Hope you ain't a conscript"
Before continuing her motion and cutting deeply into another, the rain sizzling along her lightsaber

((13 damage Breach 1 to one stormtrooper, use the triumph to crit another. Let Dapper decide his use for the threat despair, if any :O ))

The storm troopers stand no chance as she cuts through them but the wild attack and slick surface cause her to fall prone as she slides through the mud the rain sizzling on her blade. Only one remains of the small squad!

OOC: Minion group #1 reduced to 1 trooper who has taken 4 wounds. Floats is Prone and sill suffer a setback to her next action due to Threat and Despair.

The 13th Sister moved forward and reached out through the Force and casually flung Jurdak into Mia as they both go tumbling to the muddy ground. Rain sizzles off the lit crimson lightsaber as she grinned under her mask.

OOC: Advance to Short of Jurdak use Move to throw him into Mia, successful. Triumph to knock them both Prone! Both must soak 11 wounds. Players can determine what to use Threat for.

The black clad Iquisitporius Trooper seeing an opportunity advanced on Floats and spun the shock weapon with great accuracy striking her several times!

OOC: Advanced to Engaged with Floats and then Floats is struck for a total of 9 strain and uses 2 advantage for Linked so 9 more strain for a second hit, both with Pierce 2.

Dak rolled and tried to take out a few troopers but the rain got in his eyes and his deadly shot became merely startling.

Never far from her side, Keeli comes sliding out of the brush and with a click chucks a grenade at a squad of storm troopers! He shouted to Floats, “I got your back General! For the Republic!”

The other squad fires on the solo clone trooper but he manages to dive for cover without taking any real harm!

Sacha was surprised. Keeli wasn't someone she'd expected to see again, especially not now of all times. Still, she wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth. She swept up her shield and closed the distance, swinging the beskar sword, her gift from the fallen Horus, at the Stormtroopers. Her strike is clean and sure.
