Juri's finger twirled about the necklace, only a few hours old. A wicked little grin as she seemed quite pleased with herself about it. A second was secreted away, a lovely welcome home gift.

But there was still work to do. The Clinic was needed, and she was sure that someone would see their way in. She had a feeling about it.

There's a hesitant knock on the door and then a red Nautolan head pokes around it and into the clinic
"Uh, howdy. Someone mentioned this was a place I could see about getting a wound patched up without needing to impoverish myself because of our predatory insurance industry?"

The much shorter woman looked to the Nautolan. She recognized her from the Righteous Star, and invited her in. "You heard correctly. My name is Juri. I don't need know what happened or why you need my services." She softened her smile as she stalled closer, looking up to the woman.

"How may I help you?"

"It's a real pleasure Miss Juri."
she extends the non stabbed arm as she enters the clinic and looks around with interest.

"Appreciate me some don't ask, don't tell but uh. Let's just say they get real cranky if you don't declare fresh vegetables when you're going through customs. It's just a scratch, but knowing my luck today it'll get infected and then I'll have to get a cybernetic oar or something for an arm."

There's a reasonably deep cauterized stab wound on the Nautolans left shoulder, going clean through her overalls.

"I swear I've seen you before though, was y'all up on the ship too? Hope they didn't bail you up or nothing."

Her eyes narrowed, taking the hand and gently leading the Nautolan to the back room. It was clean, simple. But enough equipment to truly qualify as a clinic. She grabbed her medpac, and nodded to the table. "Please, sit." Her voice never rose above a whisper, the timbre of her alto pitch musical.

"I was indeed. I volunteer for medical services on refugee ships. They can be pits of disease and death if no one cares to help. Suffering... I can't abide it." She clicked her tongue as she finished speaking.

Her delicate fingers, now scrubbed and gloved, examined the wound. "Undo the garment, please. Just enough to expose the wound." She spoke with clinical detachment.

Ah. I see.

"And customs left me alone. Even with the nerves of their new... supervisor."

Floats sits and unclips part of her overalls, pulling them down. At least they were cheap and honestly, what mechanic didn't have a burnt hole in their overalls after a coupe years?

"Well that's mighty kind of you. Wish I could do that, but I'm more mechanically inclined. Probably all the good karma you're racking up that meant you didn't have to deal with Moff Cavity Search. Although actually he only stabbed me instead, so maybe not so bad."

EA1 - The Doctor is In - Tending to Floats (Intellect 4, Medicine 1, +1eB medkit, less than half threshold easy difficulty): 1eP+3eA+1eB+1eD 2 successes, 1 advantage
ImageImageImageImageImageImage 2 wounds, 1 strain recovered to Floats.

"I have the ability to help. Therefore, I must do what I can." She spoke as she began to patch up the Nautolan woman. Disinfectant sprays, small phials of topical creams. And lastly, simple stitches, closing the wound. After applying anaesthetic, of course.

To use a Lightsaber without hesitation, just for a customs infringement?.

Her lips pursed, as she placed a wrap and a bandage over the wound. "Almost good as new. I can administer a stim if you'd like, to accelerate the proscess." She let her hand rest on the stim gun of her kit, but didn't presume.

"You're far too generous Miss Juri. I know stims ain't cheap. And I'm a big girl....much to the chagrin of would be dance partners. A good night's sleep and your bandaging and I'll be right as rain."

She wiggles the shoulder left and right experimentally
"Been ages since I got stabbed proper. What do I owe yah?"

Floats looks up at the sound of the door opening

A woman stood there in simple clothes with a much older woman, perhaps her grandmother.

"Whatever you feel is acceptable. It could be as simple as a favor to be repaid later, could be credits, it could be a meal." She beamed a bit, closing the kit.

Hearing the chime of the door opening, she offered a hand to the Nautolan to help her up from the small medical table, and led her back to the main room.

"Welcome, how can I be of assistance?" She spoke softly, just as they stepped into view of the door. And then her smile widened.

"Delia! You came!" There was a sense of excitement; though a hint of trepidation, remembering that feeling of unease. Of seeing the ghost of her sister. "How are you? And Heleni! Feeling better?"

"Meal and a favour it is. I hope you like beans.....because they're cheap and I'm flat broke. Come by the store in Jaklu if you need the favour though, double points if its of a nautical nature."
She follows Juri back to the main room, feeling a bit awkward as it became clear she knew the entrants.

They both smile and nod and Delia said, "I am glad we found it, such a maze here. You look well."

"Well enough after a long journey on a transport." She beamed, and then a look of concern. "You didn't have any issues getting through customs, did you?" She quietly asked. Then eyebrows raised in realization.

"How rude of me. This is..." she looked to her Nautolan patient, and flushed slightly, "... I actually didn't ask her name. Ma'am, these are friends of mine, Delia, and her grandmother." She nodded, introducing the pair to the taller woman.

Delia smiled and greeted Floats, "Pleasure to meet you, madam."

Her grandmother nodded and then whispered something to Delia. Delia added, "Is there somewhere my grandmother could rest?"

"Just Floats is fine. I'll uh, leave you folks to it. Nice meeting you all, welcome to Bankor, it's not as bad as it looks."
She heads for the exit after a quick smile.

"Floats. I will see you soon." She committed the name to memory, and would certainly take her up on the favor. She bowed her head as the Nautolan left, before walking over to the pair. "I have a small bed in the office, in case I end up staying here and not making it home." She extended a hand, guiding the pair to the office, and showing the bed.

More pull out couch than anything.

"It is more comfortable than it looks." She chuckled.

They got grandmother comfortable and before long she was sleeping. Delia looked around the rest of the clinic and said, "Thank you again, I promise we will only stay until I find a place for us to live."

"There is no rush. And any help I can lend, I am more than happy to offer." She spoke softly, not wanting to disturb Heleni's sleep. Juri stepped away, then looked to Delia. "Would you like some tea?" The doctor offered, leading them back into the main room.

"It wouldn't take long to brew."

The smaller woman nodded, turning on, of all things, a small bunsen burner, with a kettle of water. She began the exacting measurements of tea leaves and local flowers, and set it into an infuser.

"Me too. It's the best thing after a long trip. Soothes the spirit." Her words barely ever broke above a whisper, as if at peace with the setting around them.

Once the water was hot, she added the infuser and set a timer.

"I'm sorry for the maze to find the place. I set up here because I found these people needed my help the most, just to even get basic medical care."

“It is admirable that you do so much for nothing, or next to nothing. In a prior life that would seem antithetical to my lifestyle, but I suppose I was a very different person in my youth. Normal to change from what we were to someone new,” she replied.

Delia had a distant look as she deep in thought and then added, “You are a kind person, despite the troubles you have suffered.”

"I wouldn't say nothing. The Galaxy is bound together. Adding good to it, spreads it. Just as adding suffering and hate twists if." She set out two cups, pouring out first for Delia, and then herself.

There was a small bowl of sugar, offered, but Juri kept hers sans sweetness.

"Kindness has to be practiced. My extended family... had those who practiced wickedness as easily as they practiced kindness. Differences in philosophy. And maybe that was why when the War touched home..." she sighed, trying not to think of the Defoliator tanks and the terror they rained.

"... it was the Galaxy pushing back."

"All actions have repercussions," she said adding a small amount of sugar. "Nothing is ever done in a true vacuum."

"No, not at all." Delicate fingers held onto the warmth of her cup. "But if my reprecussions are to lessen the burden of strife on others, then I welcome those gladly." She smiled, bringing the cup to her lips and taking a sip.

It's herbaceous and floral, yet a certain pleasing bitterness. She watched Delia over the rim of her cup, curious as to her thoughts on the tea.

"You mentioned the dyadic principle. That isn't something... most... people would know or talk about."
