[Day 2 - EA] Make a Jedi Out of You [Closed]

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus folded his arms, frowning thoughtfully as he considered. Considered the options. Considered his friends. Considered himself.

"I think we should try it. I trust her to be able to pull it off, at least for a while. And I think it's a good chance." He smiled. "Better than letting fear lead us to inaction until it's too late."

[Xanna Teevou]

He turned a more sober look on Veras. "Things are getting pretty hot here on Bankor. To keep you and your father safe..." Petrus spread his hands.

"This is what I am thinking of, yes. It may also give the beings of Bankor a reprieve if the Empire thinks the Jedi have left the planet." She looked over at Sloan thinking that might be of some help to his people.

Her eyes narrowed at Petey's suggestion. "That... I am sorry but that sounds like a really terrible idea. We would need to get that fighter out of there for a start. Would it fly in an atmosphere Master? I do not think that trying to feed intelligence to an Inquisitor like this can end well."

"Yeah..." Petrus grimaced. "The fighter's the part I hadn't figured out yet."

[Dapper Dog]

"I agree with Xanna, snitches get stitches," she offered.


"The ship should travel but not ready for space," Veras added.

[Xanna Teevou]

As usual Liua summed it up nicely and Xanna gave her a nod. "It is a dangerous play. Perhaps you could tell us some more about this person you trust. They know you are Jedi, and know the Inquisitor, but do not wish you harm?" She felt a pang of worry, initially for Petrus, but realised she was concerned about each of her friends, new and old.

Her thoughts returned to Valus. Once upon a time he was overconfident and rash. Maybe he had reverted?

"Thank you Veras. At least we can move the ship. Under cover of darkness would seem prudent."

[Dapper Dog]

"I can move it here, well there is a cave network nearby that could work," she offered.


"Yeah, I want to know about this friend... one is she cute, ugh gross, two is she your friend, or your friend, three can I punch her?"

Petrus looked at Xanna to reply, but grimaced as Liua spoke. "She's gorgeous, friend, and no." He said, quickly counting the items of on his fingers.

Back to the group. Petrus sighed. "She was an agent in the Clone Wars. Spy, I mean. She and her friend helped me escape, come here. After..." he took a breath, "-after the clone troopers attacked us, I got... separated from my master. The two of them picked me up not long after, and not a moment too soon; I wasn't doing the best job of hiding. They brought me here, and they've been helping me ever since."

He chewed a lip for a moment. "She's good at what she does, but I know what she's doing is dangerous. I'm a bit worried." He admitted. From the lines in his face, and the look in his eyes, he was more than a bit worried.

[Dapper Dog]

Liua narrowed her eyes and then ate her cheese with annoyance, "Gorgeous? Yeah she's a sleemo."

"I can move it here, well there is a cave network nearby that could work," she offered.

"Perfect Veras, thank you. Maybe you could show me how to fly one day?"

She watched the interplay between Liua and Petrus. "A spy? Spies are dangerous. So she is working with someone else, and they helped you escape? What do they know about, all of this?" She gestured to the others and the cabin.

"I love to teach you... not that I am all that good," she said laughing to Xanna.

"I do know that spinning is not a nice trick, it's dumb."

She watched the interplay between Liua and Petrus. "A spy? Spies are dangerous. So she is working with someone else, and they helped you escape? What do they know about, all of this?" She gestured to the others and the cabin.

"Some." Petrus said, his expression serious, tone a little subdued. "We went to see Mahon together. She told me about... the Inquisitor. She knows that I know where he used to be." He grimaced. "And the farmer's market." That had been Mahon, but it seemed unfair to dry to evade responsibility.

"That's it." He said.

[Xanna Teevou]

Xanna smiled at Veras' observation on the truth about spinning. It seemed like it would be dumb for flying stealthily.

Her expression grew serious again when Petrus spoke about his friends. "So Mahon knows this spy friend of yours as well? We need to be really careful. I think it would be wise not to be telling people about what we have here without discussing it here first."

She looked over at Oraka and at each of the others. "As for this plan? Maybe Valus is overconfident enough for it to work, but it does worry me that it could be drawing him too close."

[Brother Sloan]

"and where would you fly to?" Sloan added inquisitively. Something felt off about the suggestion of flying elsewhere. For the youngling it made sense but not for the Jedi Master.


Is running away a form of being driven by fear, or does it simply acknowledge fear's existence?

[Oraka Hin]

The old farmer said, “I will not be leaving Bankor, this is where I need to be.”

Sloan's thoughts of chaos and defeat subsided for a moment.

"As expected." Sloan nodded. "Nor will I Master Orakas. Bankor needs me....needs us."

I will protect my people at all costs.

[Xanna Teevou]

"Yes, this is where we need to be now." She put a hand on Sloan's shoulder. "One day we will need to find allies elsewhere, out there." She pointed upwards. "The Empire will not be ended if we defeat it on a single planet. But we will start here. Together."

It seemed a daunting task, but she knew it was the only way. She would trust in the Force.

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus let out a long breath. "Well, I'm certainly not going anywhere, then. Not when I've been here for years, just being. I'm not gonna leave now that I'm actually doing something."

"Together." He echoed with a nod.
