[Day 3, EA] There is no hydrospoon

"Fine just... kind of got twisted up in there and then kind of needed help," she said meekly.

The stone and coin and remain they are just what they are, but they are mementos of overcoming the challenge.

[Petrus Karath]

Shaking his arms, Petrus paused to pick up his tunic, although he waited until more water dripped from his lean form. He held the stone in his hand, turning it over in his fingers.

He gave Liua a look, half-fond, half-exasperated. "Liua, do you think you could maybe limit yourself to giving me one heart-attack per day? Please?"

[Xanna Teevou]

"And help came." She smiled at her friend. It seemed Master Hin had been right about that. Petrus' concern was also nice to hear.

Walking over she sat down next to Liua and showed her the coin. "I wonder who this being is that wanted to be on this coin twice?"

[Dapper Dog]

“Probably someone who was just really in love with themselves, or something… probably a word for that,” she said trying to look at this coin now.

[Brother Sloan]

Leaping without hesitation Sloan torpedo'd into the water. He always felt at home swimming.

Find a stone....find a stone.....find a..stone? His thoughts became clouded.

He'd surely found plenty of stones before, why couldn't he find a damn stone now.

What does this even have to do with being a Jedi. How is this going to help save Bankor from the tyrants?


If his frustration was tangible the heat coming from Sloan would have boiled the water.

"Brother Sloan, what troubles you?" the old man replied.

[Brother Sloan]

"Brother Sloan, what troubles you?" the old man replied.

Soaking wet Sloan grumbled as he walked closer to the master.

"I didn't find a stone, and quite frankly I'm unsure how finding stones will help us become stronger." He tilted his head, emptying one ear of water, then straightened up looking down at the Jedi.

[Qareme Torth]

"Then discuss, I am listening, Qareme," he offered.

Qareme adjusted her sitting to sit cross-legged.

"I am unsure as to what everyone knows about the Inquistors, beyond that they hunt our kind. The Inquisitor who goes by Sister 13, who you all know now from the incident one day ago, took pleasure in dangling in front of me her intentions. She wishes to capture us, and torture us until we turn."

There was a pause there, to let those who weren't aware of it to understand that before she continued.

"However, there is something that may be worse than an Inquisitor in Bankors future, something she spoke and I knew there was no lie in her words. Darth Vader has taken interest in Bankor. He is coming."

[Xanna Teevou]

Far from surprise she saw mutual understanding in the Pantoran's yellow eyes. Xanna nodded sympathetically.

"We discovered this same truth yesterday. The other Inquisitor is... known to us." She gestured to Oraka and herself. "He was once a Jedi. And last night I also had a vision of the future. Amongst other things I saw you, Qareme, in the prison. And then Darth Vader."

[Oraka Hin]

Soaking wet Sloan grumbled as he walked closer to the master.

The old man said to Sloan, “The Jedi do strive to get stronger, that is never our goal, we do not seek power or have ambition of domination. Perhaps that is incompatible with your own philosophy but we seek to be defenders, diplomats, and scholars; the stone is not important only the fact that you did what you could. A Jedi does not try to do things, we simply do them, success or fail we act towards the betterment of others.”

He listed to Qareme and then said, “Then we must be prepared.”

[Petrus Karath]

"Ummm..." Petrus swallowed, "Just how powerful is Darth Vader, anyway? Qareme and Verse fought the second Inquisitor together and couldn't prevail. This guy sounds like, well, a lot."

It was cold... shivering slightly, Petrus pulled his tunic back on.

[Qareme Torth]

"Powerful enough for the Inquisitors to be terrified of them" Qareme commented to Petrus, before turning to Xanna.

"I would not be surprised if the Inquisitor known as the 13th Sister was also a Jedi, she seemed very familiar with Jedi tactics. I also felt she was not beyond saving."

[Oraka Hin]

The old man just nodded as he listened and said, "If they can be reached we must try but our ultimate responsibility is to the people of Bankor."

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus spread his hands. "Do we know anything about them? I mean, she's a lady, maybe a former Jedi, in a mask. That's not a whole lot to go on. I knew a lot of lady Jedi." In fact, he still kinda did...

[Brother Sloan]

"You misunderstand me. Or perhaps I've misspoken." Sloan spoke, gritting his teeth.

"I watched my people being slaughtered yesterday Master Oraka. I need to know that this is where I belong, to ensure something like that doesn't happen again. If that means diving for stones all day I'll gladly drown doing it." His voice raised.

"I don't think I did all that I could yesterday. I could have done more, and so could you." The words kept spilling out from the broken dam that was his mouth.

"You said the Jedi defend. So what exactly are the Jedi going to do?"

[Oraka Hin]

The old man considered that and said, “We are champions of justice but even we have blindspots we did not foresee the actions of the Empire, but I know that all here did what they could to aid your people Brother Sloan.”

“You are right though, I need to do more.”

To Petrus he said, “She was Jedi Knight Neela Takee, she was a champion of the Light, but now she has been twisted into the monster we face now.”

[Petrus Karath]

"Neela Takee? Are you kidding me?" Petrus cleared his throat. "Ah... my apologies, master."

He looked over at Xanna. "I'm right, right? That's the Jedi that Mahon knew?"

[Verse Aura]

Verse had listened to the conversation, listened to it turn back to the inquisitors. Wondered about the outburst from Petrus for a moment, then vocalized her own thoughts.

"How could a Jedi become twisted like that, though? I mean, I know the lessons of how dangerous the Dark Side is of course, but still. She was a Knight? If someone who had passed the trials to become a knight could fall, then how could *we* protect ourselves from meeting the same fate?"

[Xanna Teevou]

"Neela Takee? Are you kidding me?" Petrus cleared his throat. "Ah... my apologies, master."

He looked over at Xanna. "I'm right, right? That's the Jedi that Mahon knew?"

Xanna's eyes had widened and she nodded. "More than one. I think they were in love, or at least he was with her." She looked at Oraka.

"Could that be her path to release Master? If Qareme senses something left of her perhaps her feelings for Mahon could bring her back? "

[Qareme Torth]

"Her love?"

Qareme looked curiously at Xanna.

"I am unsure what vision you had, however it appears that you all are familiar with her before she became this Inquisitor. She avoids looking at her own past, it appears a part of becoming an Inquisitor is to lose your identity, or have it taken away from you. Helping her to accept who she is, and return her identity to her, may be a way to help free her."

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus grimaced, sighing. "That sounds easier said than done. It feels like it's more than they avoid looking at their past. They hate it. Look at how Inquisitor number one tracks Master Hin."

He frowned, pursing his lips thought. "But... maybe it's because their old lives really are how to reach them. Huh. It kinda makes sense, doesn't it?"

[Oraka Hin]

Verse had listened to the conversation, listened to it turn back to the inquisitors. Wondered about the outburst from Petrus for a moment, then vocalized her own thoughts.

The old man replied, "In the end it is a choice to Fall to the Dark Side, it may happen slowly but there is a moment where a decision is made. No Master can train a Jedi to resist that choice, that must come from within."

[Xanna Teevou]

"Her connection to the past. If she did not love Mahon she valued him greatly. What you say makes a great deal of sense."

Her thoughts returned to her vision. "I saw you, Qareme, lost in the darkness. I had not seen you before but I knew I had to help with the rescue. I saw the other Inquisitor, Valus Mal. He has taken a special interest in us." She looked over at Liua, Petrus, and Sloan. "Each of us. And then looming over everything was the shadow of Darth Vader."

[Oraka Hin]

“These Inquisitors are driven by their fear of Darth Vader and with good reason, I doubt there has been a more proficient hunter of the Jedi than Darth Vader. He led the attack on the Jedi Temple, and spared no one,” the old man said calmly.

“He is powerful in the Dark Side, corrupted and evil. He spread that corruption to the Inquisitors, reaching them will mean somehow overcoming that deep seated fear of their master.”

[Qareme Torth]

"The Inquisitor said that Darth Vader was the second most powerful person she had met."

There was a pause before she looked at Oraka and asked "what do you know about the Emperor?"
