Back at her new temporary quarters, Elaranu decided to take her parts and tools and try things out.

She started fiddling with her pistol, using her parts and tools to shape and customize it.

After a while, Djanik made his way into the junk yard. He had business to talk with Elaranu, as if he needed an excuse to seek her out.

Getting directions took a while, but eventually he was able to get pointed in the right direction.

After a while, a soft knock came at the door to her quarters, along with a cheerful greeting. "Good Afternoon."

He held up a pair of square canned stouts. "I was in town, dropping off my tribute. Looks like you're doing some fancy work there."

Sparks flew from an arclight torch as he came in, a welding mask over Ela's face as she turned to the voice, "Ah, Djanik. You have come to see my humble dwellings then, yes? I would offer you a seat, but I have not finished unpacking."

She shut off the torch and flipped up her visor with her heavy gloves, the stock on her gun still smoldering lightly.

"That's all right - I can pull up a box."

He set the drink down, for her to enjoy at her leisure, and added, "I'm glad the space is workable - Always a good sign when the scrap king lives up to his first part of the bargain."

Glancing at the gun he added, "What are you adding?"

Since he asked, she picked up the blaster pistol with her glove. Carrying it over gingerly, she showed him.



"Is custom grip for my WES-34. Blusteel coating and grip indents to make it more confortable to hold."

She leaned in conspiratorially, "I also add a shut off chip, so it will not fire unless it is in my hands. Hedging bets as it were."

"Sounds wise."

Djanik leaned back, his own busy day running through his mind.

After a moment, he added, "So, you get a look at your new ship?"

"My friends, I see you like... you like?" the King asked as he made himself known.

"I gave it a shakedown. Good quality, though it could use some tuning. Also a good cleaning; It smells like Nerf on the inside."

She wrinkled her nose a bit at the memory beore walking back to the bench to set the pistol down and turned to the King.

"Everything is most satisfactory, yes."

Djanik picked up one of the stouts and held it out to the king with a little bow.

"And I hope you'll like my own tribute - nice and strong, fresh from correllian hops."

"You two are my favorite scavs," he said warmly.

Djanik also grinned.

"For what it's worth, you're my favorite scrap king."

Glancing around the room, he added, "Brings memories back, I spent years on Republic ships. They don't make them like that any more."

"I am glad I am one of your favorites, since I shall be living right under your nose."

Rather than getting back to work she leaned her tush against her workbench, hands to her side as she listened to Djanik reminisce.

Running one hand along the bulkhead, he muttered, "New ships haven't got the same kind of attention to detail."

Glancing back at the others, he added, "But that's all in the past, I guess. You'll have to let me know if the drinks are to your liking. If so, I have 2 full cases in the rental speeder. The tail end was riding mighty low on the way out."
