End of the night. (Day 10, EN, The Coyote)

Dove had bought Floats the aquatic modifications for the ship, the still needed to be installed though. Which is what Astin was up to after the party on the beach. A spanner in one hand, and a glass of whiskey nearby he was finishing up on the portion of the ship he was in.

It was late but well, the others in his crew were likely too drunk or two heavy of sleepers to be bothered by what little noise he was making.

Floats shuffles out of her room in her pink nightgown and boatie slippers, a heavy sleeper, she'd only been wakened by her boat sense tingling.
She waves sleepily at Astin as she heads over to see what he's doing.

"Awww Mr Astin you didn't have to install that yourself you know, I'da been right on it after the party and everything."

Returning from her beach-walk, Dove stepped aboard the ship with a slower pace than normal. Her leg was still a little bit sore from yesterday.

"Hmm... what's going on here?" she asked, a little tired and tipsy at the same time as she came around the corner. Compared to Floats she was still dressed, though it depended on how much you considered shorts and bikini actual clothing.

Astin took a sip of his whiskey and glanced Floats way, she really was pretty girly all things considered.

"Ah, it's no matter Dove bought it for you, least I could do is install it. Plus I like the quiet this late."

When Dove arrived she recieved a polite nod. "Just burning the midnight oil with a bit of whiskey. Seems I woke Floats up though."

"Oh no Mr Astin, not at all....well, maybe a little. But it was real nice to wake up to this. I'd always dreamed one day I'd go to sleep and wake up and find a boat.....this is so much better!"

She yawns again but it's a happy yawn, as though imagining future boat dreams.
"You look nice Miss Dove, I don't think I have the stamina for a party the way some folks do."

"Ah, don't say that, Floats. No one can match your exuberance, after all," she remarked with a playful smirk.

"Isn't it a bit late to be working on the ship now?"

Mia came out of her room and sipped from her personal bottle of whiskey. "Did y'all keep up with the chores like I set out? I haven't even had a chance to make sure everything is in order."

She then shrugged. "Now it's a boat boat and not just a space boat. I think that's very important to some of us."

Dove averted her gaze to admire the fine architecture of the wall. She'd completely forgotten about all the chores.

"Isn't it great that Mia is back, guys?!" she said after a few awkward seconds of silence.

FLOATS HUG DEPLOYED, TARGET 'MIA' MAXIMUM FORCE

"I'm so glad she's back and it's the best and we all did the chores Miss Mia...mostly....sort of. Miss Dove got a little busy but she was doing important other stuff. But I've been washing my hands a lot and Mr Astin has been cooking up a storm. I think we even vacuumed once."

"i tend to work a bit late, Dove." Astin replied to her with a smile, now that there were two blondes on board he'd need to find another way to differentiate the two.

"Plus as Floats said it's nice to wake up to surprises." Among other things. He smiled at Mia before downing the rest of his whiskey and reaching for the bottle to refill it.

"As Floats said we've been getting through the chores, even tried to teach Dove how to cook once." To mixed results.

"Oof," Mia said, both in regards to the hug and the apparent lack-of-order upon the ship. Sure, they weren't military, and she was a country girl who threw BOULDERS at high-tech speeders, but she still had standards!

"So what can we do with an underwater boat then?"

Squeeze!

"We go underwater! Or on water, or water adjacent! So many options"

"Underwater starship." The Coyote wasn't a boat, not even if it could go under the water. "As for what we can do. Hide for one thing." That was the first thing that came to mind.

"I'm sure Floats can tell you a number of other things to though."

"Oh I do like the idea of sneaking around. Nobody expects a coyote to come out of the water, right?"

"Hiding, yes," Dove concurred with the others, glad that Mia wasn't asking more about chores hadn't been done. Excellent distraction-work there, Floats.

"There's also perks in having a ship that can go underwater, in places where there's rumored treasures and the like. Places where there might be crashed Imperial ships for us to check out..."

"Oh, and not only can we now go on and under water but."
leaning in to whisper to Mia
"We all get presents, birthdays and life day. This is pretty much the best crew ever."

"Just no half-birthday presents." Astin offered with a wry smile. He was going to have to figure out more of the ladies likes it seemed.

"I kinda like the idea of searching for treasure though, could be we can find something nice." Like thousands of credits worth of jewels.

"Sure, no half-day presents. And the amphibious-modulator was a... hmm... house-warming gift. A belated one, of course, but hey, I needed to get the funds for it."

Those things weren't cheap, after all.

"But yeah, treasure, secret underwater lairs, sunken cities... lots of potential really. And if we continue to stick with the Resistance, the Coyote could take on unique missions too."

"Could be a good way to lose the Imperials too if we're transferring precious cargo," Mia said, smiling at Dove. She then scratched the back of her head. "Is Ru'ni on board?"

It was time for Astin to shake his head. "Sadly not." Astin offered taking a sip of bourbon. "Things got rather complicated while you were away, and he has to face a punishment from his people."

"Not that such is the only reason he can't be here, but it more or less sealed the deal."

"He had a real important task, but before he left he asked me to take care of Mr Astin, and that's what I intend to do."

"I see. Well, we'll continue the mission in his honor until he can join us someday." Mia dipped her head in a silent prayer for the man's well-being. She then looked up and smirked. "So I was thinking we should go find some more worlds. Anyone speak RAWR?" The tall blonde continued to do her best imitation of Shyriiwook.

Floats mumbles something about folks not knowing the definition of time off
"Uh, everyone this is Keeli. He's real smart and brave and awesome, saved me a couple of times. Miss Dove and I had a little talk and now he's gonna be one of our new shipmates so try and make him feel welcome with presents and hugs and such."

Dove glanced to Mia. "He seemed like someone who needed some real-life teaching. Just like the kid."

Here they go again, adopting another stray.
