The beach had been great. Fun even. He'd almost forgotten what a night without drinking was like.

Which found him knocking at a certain door . . . pointedly without the two droids who had been sent to recharge.

Rayne answered, his room was neat and tidy and two bags packed on his bed.

Ria'la smiled at him.

"Leaving us so soon? You were going to say goodbye weren't you?"

He leaned against the door frame.

"I am not a goodbye kind of person, with things settled here need to get back out there and get to work," he said honestly.

"The Empire won't rest."

"No it won't. Not after what we've done to them here. And the others have done elsewhere."

He took a step closer, resting one hand on Rayne's arm.

"You going right now, or do you have a little time?"

"There is a ship waiting but it can wait a few more minutes, Ria'la," he said to the reporter. "Just don't like to stay idle."

"Only a few minutes. Well I'll have to be quick then."

He quashed a feeling of disappointment and stepped up to Rayne to kiss him.

"Thank you. You've helped give us hope."

"It's your people that did the hard work, I simply gave them some opportunities to make a difference," he responded.

"It's only the start, which means there is more work to be done elsewhere." He grabbed his bags and added, "You gave yourselves hope."

He received another hug as time available shortened.

"If you ever come back here, you'll know where to find me."

Rayne smiled and said, "If I ever come back, maybe I won't leave. But first there is an Empire to get rid of."

"Stay hopeful," he departed.

Ria'la watched him go.

"As long as there's even just one of us left to fight, there is hope."
