Friend in me (Qareme Q&A)

This game has been great to read and follow. I have struggled a bit with playing, but it's been fun. Qareme as a concept wasn't a great idea, so I've tried to change it around, but I found it tricky to get into the game without completely breaking her design idea. If the game comes back I likely won't reprise Qareme, so she's an open book for questions.

Yeah, Qareme was terrific!
What did you feel worked and didn't work about her?
Did anything change as a result of getting so much conflict?

I enjoyed Qareme moments a lot actually!
I can see where the difficulty with playing her would naturally come in, but from an outsider in know that I believe you did a really good job with it!

I too really enjoyed Qareme! I would probably say that it was my favorite character of yours to date, as she really stood out to me. It was a great portrayal of a steafast and strong-willed Jedi.
I too will second the question of what was it that you felt didn't work with Qareme?
What was the idea behind the character? If Neela hadn't changed sides, would Qareme's path have changed in the game?

It's interesting that everyone really liked Qareme! I guess my biggest issue was feeling out how or where she belonged with her design. She was far and away the hardest character I've had to play, as I tried to keep her along the very emotionless neutral Jedi way (with her 1 presence) while the dice/the game kept pushing her a different way
. I often felt like I struggled to have a good reason to put her into threads (which is why she had so little plot). She was more like a NPC than a PC at times.
It does mean a lot that people enjoyed her though, so thank you.
As for the Neela plot, I was really sad to have missed the final redemption event! Qareme wants to believe that any can turn back to the light (she never met Elder Brother) and tries to see the best in everyone, so I don't think it would have changed much. With the amount of failed rolls it was starting to push at her self-doubts, which was well explained by the insane amount of conflict she got over the course of the game. However if she had failed her
second Jedi trial...that might have pushed her even further towards doubting her own strengths, and likely more conflict.

I was sad that I didn't get to join the prison rescue party after seeing you in a vision the night before.
Qareme was great, I thought you made a very believable Jedi. I enjoyed that you had the Neela redemption arc in parallel to my Valus arc. Cool stuff, and a really great Trials post.
Now no dying to Vader please

How did you feel about being taken prisoner and hanging out in jail for a while?
Did you expect to be rescued/freed? What would you have done different? Any doubts about no one coming to your rescue?

I really enjoyed it as well. They're total opposites but it worked well

Qareme never expected anyone to come and rescue her. She expected to be trapped, and have to make her own escape which she
almost did. After the failed escape and finding out what happened to the other prisoners because of it there was more desperation because she couldn't attempt it again too soon.
As for being captured, nobody expects capture but it was more fitting that Qareme got caught and she'd have always put herself in that position rather than let anyone else get caught.

I really enjoyed Qareme! She was great to have very different characters interact with (which is maybe why you felt she was like an NPC?).
I think you said you don't plan to bring her back for another game. What do you think is a fitting epilogue for her? Becoming one with the force in some dramatic sacrifice? Heroically carrying on the legacy of the Jedi until she helps that Skywalker kid set up his temple? Other?
