[Day 4, LM] Travelling soup salesbeing

[Jenna Karath]

"My life just got needlessly more complicated," she let the sigh finally slip past her lips, having mumbled it without thought or care. Though, she looked somewhat relieved, it wasn't a problem for now. Now she could make plans around it, for it... Just a few changes and alterations to her ever growing "bug-out" bag.

[Dapper Dog]

There was a zoom sound as she deactivated the weapon, returning a glow rod to her belt. She gave Jenna a slightly apologetic smile.

"Yes Usef. Your good friend is a Jedi, and the Empire is our shared enemy. Let us be friends." She held out her hand to shake on it. "I will still bring you stew when I can. Now, the Empire wishes to end you, and all my kind. We must find a way to prevent that. Your help would be most appreciated. What do you suggest?"

"Suggest we hit Empire where they think they are strong, the ship!" He suggested.

[Xanna Teevou]

Xanna cocked her head to the side. "Do you have a plan in mind Usef? It would certainly disrupt their operations. It might even keep the Inquisitors distracted. But how would you, we, do this?"

[Jenna Karath]

"Whoa whoa whoa, hold up," she said, waving down the idea as she stepped forward more directly into the conversation.

"Doesn't that sound a lot like something that would make things worse for Bankor? Let alone the people living here? Right now they've got a boot on the planet sure but you're thinking of something that would make us.." she paused, she really wasn't sure the proper term she was looking for, "anyway, hornet's nest. Wouldn't that just make the Empire all the more angry for no good reason?"

"This is not something that would be done simply for the sake of doing it Jenna. The Jedi are not seeking to make things worse for Bankor, far from it. But we need allies, we need options. The Empire will not rest until all the Jedi are dead, or worse, turned." She spoke the word with obvious distaste. "They have already destroyed the Aznuri settlement with no provocation. How can we prevent such things in the future? We cannot do it alone, so we need allies, and we need contingency plans."

[Jenna Karath]

"I.. I get that, I do," she calmed and so her hands settled back down near her sides, "but isn't a contingency plan like that a bit... Beyond? Even if it went perfectly things would only get worse for Bankor. We'd see a occupation like the Aznuri for every citizen."

[Xanna Teevou]

Xanna gave her a sympathetic look. "Believe me Jenna, I wish no harm to befall the people of Bankor. Let us hear what Usef has in mind. The Empire has factions within it, particularly among these Inquisitors it seems. Perhaps there would be a way to make an attack on the ship look like infighting. In any case, it would not be an option to use lightly."

She returned her attention to Usef. "So, we should hear what sort of plan and resources you have at your disposal my friend."

Relaxing her stance, Jenna nodded to her friend and gave that look of understanding between friends. Trust, after all, was something she had learned again because she wanted to desperately be able to trust again.

"I am sorry, for the outburst," she added toward the self-titled king. Some respect, she figured, was due perhaps. "Just want to make sure we're doing the right thing."

“Well King has big ship, almost working, mostly, and has some weapons, could attack probably lose but distraction enough for others to disable ship? Course it might fall on the city… but not for sure. Also had weird man come here name is Rain or Raye something, speaks like Core folks asks King if he interested in Alliance, King interested but not enough details yet,” he responded

She thought long and hard about that. "That is quite the dramatic plan. We could not do it without being sure the city would be safe, but certainly an impressive distraction." She tapped her chin. "If we can find someone with knowledge of the workings of a Star Destroyer it might just work." Her eyes met Jenna's. "As a plan of last resort."

The name and description triggered a memory. "This human you describe, the one proposing an alliance. He sounds like the one who helped with the prison break. Would you like me to speak with him and find out what he is thinking?"

"I remember him," Jenna added, "shifty fellow by my account. Seems the type that would sooner leave you to the dogs than risk whatever he's planning."

Jenna shrugged, "Maybe it's just a bad first impression."

[Xanna Teevou]

"Shifty, yes." She nodded in agreement. "However, he did lead the team on the successful rescue mission. So perhaps he has hidden depths. Worth investigating I think."

[Dapper Dog]

The name and description triggered a memory. "This human you describe, the one proposing an alliance. He sounds like the one who helped with the prison break. Would you like me to speak with him and find out what he is thinking?"

"Yes, this sounds like a good thing," he said in agreement.

"Then I will discuss this with him and bring you the details. Let us see if we can forge an alliance against the Emoire." Now this seemed more like the Jedi way, negotiating, bringing people together. Hopefully reigning in destructive impulses until some semblance of safety could be secured.

She looked at Jenna. "I value your council my friend, if you are willing to come with me to see this Rayne man? But I completely understand if you would prefer not to." Her suspicions could be a vital asset, but it was not Xanna's place to volunteer her.

Returning to focus on Usef she cocked her head slightly. "So we have the beginnings of a plan. Now would also be a good time to tell me if you ever came across any odd artifacts in all that wreckage? Anything that might give an edge against those Inquisitors would be a welcome turn of events." You never knew what might pop up at the scene of a massive battle like that, and he seemed like he had an eye for valuable things.

"I was about to offer my help if you needed it, actually," she said with a chuckle, "but I'm not sure how much help I can be. His types are ones I tend to steer clear away from if I can help it, and I tend to find knowing what it is they are planning is the only way to deal with them at all on an even playing field," she shrugged, "but like I meant to say, you can always have my help. Whenever."

Jenna found herself meandering about the room again, not one to sit still, she'd had some business now that she thought of it, with Usef perhaps but she wasn't sure and it wasn't hardly as important as Xanna's, so she decided to bide her time.

[Dapper Dog]

"I have seen many interesting things my friend, but we could not bring it all with us when we leave our lands so we bury it," he said nonchalantly.

She nodded to Jenna with a smile. "Thank you, more eyes on this would be appreciated." Another conscience too, just in case things looked like getting out of hand.

"That seems to have been a wise move my friend. If you do happen to remember anything please let me know. Perhaps we can recover some of your treasure one of these days, especially if the Empire is sufficiently distracted?" She shrugged. "Will you be staying here for a while Usef? I might be able to return tomorrow if I can find Rayne, and he is willing to talk about this alliance."

[Dapper Dog]

"Of course it's a palace in here," he said with a grin.

With that idea squared away, "I'm taken to an understanding," she started as she re-approached the two, "that your general dislike for the way Imperials run things means you might know a few others, or even better, you yourself might have an access to tools that are usually of a more.." she shrugs, "less savory and wholesome nature. Code breakers, lock crackers, that sort of stuff. If a girl found herself in a need for such fun toys, would coming here be a good place?"

[Dapper Dog]

"If a girl has creds to burn we have tools to sell, and because you know Jedi we even give you discount... 5%," he mused.

"That is most appreciated," she said with a smile, looking to Xanna, "seems I even made a nice new friend out of this after all."

Glancing back then, to Usef, "I'll be sure to come calling as soon as I'm in a particular need then."
