[Jurdak Surt]

Dak had dropped a note and a pin at the residence of an old friend telling them where to meet him. In the slums of Rygor there were hidden places, buildings kept empty and used for meetings where you want to make sure there are no ears nearby. Dak sat in one of these buildings waiting for his guest for the evening. It was time to see where some people really stood.

She arrived alone but armed. She spotted Dak and approached saying, "Clever, so what's the occasion?"

Dak pulled back the hood on his cloak and gave Jin a smile "Jin it's been a bit since weve talked. You're looking great."

"Thanks, Dak. So like I said, what's the occasion?" she replied.

"What an old service buddy cant just leave secret notes for their friends to meet them in abandoned houses in the dead of night?" He said grinning

"but you're right of course I called you here because I need to know whose side you're on. Bankor's or the imperials? You've been trying to be between the two worlds for awhile now Jin but that time is coming, hell it might already be here where youre either with the empire or against it."

[Dapper Dog]

“This is one of those conversation I need a stiff rink for, let me guess you have a side and you want me on that side,” she responded.

“Bankor is my home.”

Dak fished around in his cloak and retrieved a flask "lucky for you I always carry around a little piece of Corellia." He extended the flask to her it was about half empty, Fak had needed a bit of a stiff drink himself after being thrown around by a sith earlier in the day.

He motioned for Jin to sit across from him "so does that mean you're willing to fight to keep it free? Or do you somehow think submitting to imperial rule is the best thing for Bankor?"

The words made her consider what to say as she took the flask and gave it a drink before handing it back. She said, “Look I have no love of what the Empire is doing around here but it’s brought stability and jobs and lots of people are fine with it, I just don’t think I can be the one to say that they are wrong.”

“I am not even sure what free means, it’s one planet versus a galaxy spanning state, how free can it possibly get before they come back in force and erase us from existence.”

"What if I told you it wasnt just one planet? What if I told you there were many pockets like the one here on Bankor across the galaxy. People who understand the empire is tyranny wanting to crush out anything that disagrees with them." Dak gave her a long look "Jin you fought for the Republic, I know you still care about what the Republic stood for. The people deserve to have a voice not to be beaten and killed if the disagree with the government."

He took a deep breath "They twist things to fit their narrative Jin, the enclave didnt deserve what happened to it and the mandalorians who live outside of town all they did was refuse to hunt Jedi for the Empire and for that the empire razed their enclave. And you and i both know that the jedi werent traitors to the republic."

"You found a cause to believe in, Dak?" she said handing the drink back.

"This sounds like more than a sales pitch, you believe in this?"

Dak took it and took a swig "I do. I've lost my way the past few years, done things I'm not proud of, worked for people I'd rather not have but it's what I thought I had to do to survive. But after seeing what I have....they cant just do this." Dak's voice was tense and a little frustrated "I'm not a salesman, I'm no recruiter, I just think that you might be the same woman I remember you to be and if you are then I'm asking you for help."

"You know I hate you for throwing words like that in my face," she said grimly and then smirked and said, "But you're right, the Empire has crossed a line... more than one. I can't say all my people will join me but enough."

Dak smiled back "I dont care if you hate me as long as you're fighting for the right side on this one. We need all the help we can get and the more training the

He gave her a more sincere smile "Jin, thank you. I knew I could count on you to do the right thing. I know this wont be easy for you, but if we are going to pull this off we need people that can make hard choices."

[Dapper Dog]

"You better be one of those people," she responded.

"I'm here arent I? This is incredibly risky for me coming to the commander of Rygor security talking about treason. If I'm wrong about you I wouldnt be able to show my face in Rygor again. I'm either being incredibly brave or incredibly stupid right now. I'm still not sure which yet." He said with a chuckle.

[Dapper Dog]

"We're both incredibly stupid, guess that just means I am in good company," she said holding her hand out for the flask.

"For the road."

Dak smirked and handed the flask back over "Hey you were one hell of a soldier and you've done a good job here. Theres no better company I could ask for when fighting a galaxy wide tyrannical fascist governemnt."

"This is the right thing to do," she said after taking a drink. "It's the crazy thing to do but right, alright."

She breathed deep and handed the flask back, "I need to speak with my folks the ones I know feel like I do, watch yourself out there."

Dak nodded in higher spirits with how well things had gone, he hadn't needed to sell her on it as much as he thought he would. "Heres my contact info Jin, if you ever need anything just reach out."

"Now stay out of trouble," she said departing into the shadows, never can be too careful.

Dak grinned "Commander I can assure you I'm just another law abiding citizen."

He ducked into the shadows after a delay making sure he stayed hidden from possible eyes out and about.
