Mixing of Two Worlds [Day 5, ME]

Though she left the group, the chatter box and his friends, with the information she wanted it was.. perhaps she hoped for it to be something else, anything else.

Was this how it always was? She supposed it might have been but, she wasn't so sure anymore.

Yet, she still returned to the table, a bit more somber for the experience. As the two got to talking Jenna slid back into a seat beside Xanna, "Hey," she announced she was back and let them continue on uninterrupted.

"Bowze needed something to help him feel useful, so I am glad that worked out. As for me, just slinging drinks until I get enough to open that bakery... the same old, same old," she said with a smile.

"Plan A of marrying rich has been mighty tough."

Yet, she still returned to the table, a bit more somber for the experience. As the two got to talking Jenna slid back into a seat beside Xanna, "Hey," she announced she was back and let them continue on uninterrupted.

"Hey yourself. Do you know Vuxia, Jenna?" She looked at the bartender and smiled. "Another old friend. Relatively. Bowze has been a blessing, and you should come and use my ovens sometime. Please."

She watched as their drinks were mixed. "Still waiting to be swept off your feet by a beautiful and mysterious wealthy stranger? And I thought Petrus watched too much holodrama. Still, I hope things work out."

"I will settle for just wealthy at this point," she said offering them the finished drinks.

"We know one another, kinda, hard not to be at least aware, coming through here as I do," she said, patting the counter in front of her for her drink.

"Vandil keeps you busy," she said putting the glass down in front of Jenna.

"Happens," she shrugged, she glanced to the side to Xanna and wondered if she should, but, well, she'd recently let her brother know everything and she knew plenty enough of Xanna's own secret, maybe it didn't matter to hide it anymore, "when you make mistakes like mine. Still, I've got some pay from it, kept my hands clean so far."

Vuxia left it at that and said, "Make the creds, don't worry about the rest."

She knew Jenna's life was complicated but it was good to hear her reassurances. A look of understanding crossed her face before Vuxia's comments provoked remembrance of her life before the Jedi. She looked at the glass. "Chasing riches brings its own problems Vuxia. But I wish you kindness and... moderate wealth." A wry smile.

She handed over some creds and a generous tip. "Like I said, any time you want to bake, you are welcome to use my kitchen."

"Sure, maybe I can come by and make some sweet rolls," she mused.

"How about tomorrow, while the idea is fresh in your mind? I will make something that goes with them. Oh, and you will excuse the state of the front door I hope. We will need to get a painter in I think." It could all have been so much worse.

While they chatted, Jenna was quiet, thinking, introspective even! Looking around the room, she thought and wondered, and ever glanced back toward where Vandil's VIP room was. Then, she drifted her gaze back over to Xanna, too a drink and then smiled at Vuxia, "Excuse me a moment," she thought first, to run to the bathroom, but that didn't seem what she needed, she needed air.

Shifting through the crowds she made her way out onto the street, walking down the road a bit and then stopping and just feeling the outside air for a moment. Ru'ni did something like this recently, she realized, needed to find air to get process his trouble she thought. Seemed like it fit, seemed like it would work, at least out here away from it all she could really start to think.

"Oh no worries," she said dreaming of baking... little did she know.
