[Petrus Karath]

"Neela!" Petrus yelled as he closed with her. His brilliant blue blade engaged her red, sparks scattering noisily, but he did not press his attack. Instead, he did his best to hold her there, strain showing on his even features.

"We're gonna save Mahon." He said. "My friends are doing that right now. Join us. Help us complete our mission here, and then you can come back with us and see him." His sincerity showed in his expression, and echoed in his words, tangible through their shared connection to the Force.

She stumbled through her words, "You... you're saving him!"

There was a chance.

She found her Light, she dropped her lightsaber and then used the Force to slam the reaming storm troopers together and said, "There is Serenity."


She removed her helmet and nodded saying, "Thank you."

OOC: She is at 11 emotional wounds. She has seen the Light.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

The stormtroopers down, Ru'ni turns to the 13th Sister, bow raised and arrow ready to loose, but this was not her, this was not the same person who had rained destruction and death upon his people.

He would not forgive her, at least not soon, but nor could he punish her or seek his vengeance upon her. Slowly he lowered his bow back down and returned the arrow to his quiver.

[Petrus Karath]

Nodding, Petrus disenaged his lightsaber. He took a deep breath, looking at her a moment. She'd killed innocent people, caused so much pain... but if she could find peace in the Force, if she could atone, then he would accept that.

"You look just like in the paintings." Petrus said softly. "He still cares, very much, you know. And I bet he's not the only one."

He straightened. "Can you help us get access to the communication array? We want to send the people of the galaxy a message."

[13th Sister]

She nodded and started aiding the team. "I don't know... I know what I have done."

OOC: They can get the message out, assume it is something inspiring the Resistance cooked up.

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus gave her a wry smile. "We all have to face our pasts... I guess the important thing is that we don't have to do it alone."

He spread his hands. "I don't know. Maybe that helps, maybe not."

[Neela Takee]

She froze in place and then clutched her heart and said sharply, "No!"

Petrus felt it as well.

Mahon was dead.

[Petrus Karath]

It was a sudden sharp thing, the pain of a loss. Petrus gave a sharp intake of breath. Oh no...

He looked at Neela, his blue eyes wide. "Neela... I'm sorry. He was a friend; I felt it too. I... I'm sorry..." Petrus stuttered, unsure of what to say.

[Neela Takee]

"You have a mission to complete," she said pushing the pain aside.

[Sinnya]

"Who's dead?" Sinnya looked up sharply.

She'd crept up to the communications console and figured out where to plug in the cylinder containing Mia and Ria'la's recording; now she was navigating her way through the interface to find the command she needed to start the broadcast. An authorization badge swiped from one of the dead troopers made the process much easier than it could have been, but the Imperial operating system was still pretty clunky.

The news that somebody had died was rather distracting, though. Were they in danger again?

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak stimmed himself again and joined the group though he kept some distance between himself and 'Neela' the others may have been quick to forgive for her wholesale slaughter but Dak wasnt the forgiving type and he didnt trust her, he would be more comfortable if she had a bolt between her eyes but he trusted Petrus' and the other's judgement.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

As Reela and Petrus chatted and bonded over dead friends, Ru'ni started to strip the troopers of gear and arms.

Rebellions may be built on hope, but soldiers still need weapons and armor.

[Petrus Karath]

"Who's dead?" Sinnya looked up sharply.

"Mahon." Petrus said shortly. "I... I think the others are still okay." If he felt Mahon dying, surely he would feel the others?

He sighed. "Let's get this mission done. And we'll get back to the base." He looked at Neela. "Neela... you're coming with us, right?"

[Neela Takee]

She looked at the others and then said, "If... that is possible."

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus smiled, just a little. "I wasn't sure it was. But yeah, it is."

He turned to look at the others. The two Aznuri who'd been hurt by this. "I, uh, know this is a big ask. But I'm not asking you to forgive her. I'm just asking you to trust me when I say we should bring her back."

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak shrugged trying hard to keep his emotions under check "If the others think it's for the best I dont see why not." His body language was tense and he was holding his blaster, though it was pointed at the ground.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

She looked at the others and then said, "If... that is possible."

Ru'ni was shocked at the immediate change in demeanour, both the Sister's and of the team towards her. He bound up the gathered gear he had salvaged and slung it onto a nearby transport.

Driving the vehicle towards Petrus and Neela he glared daggers at the woman.

"You murdered dozens of my people and you destroyed the only home many of them have ever known. I don't know if there is peace and redemption for the road you have travelled. But there is no forgiveness, not from me, and not from the souls of the Aznuri that you cast into the night."

Still wincing from the blaster bolt he took, he touches the wound tentatively. "Just remember the price in pain and death that OTHERS have suffered to bring you here. May it haunt your dreams and thoughts forever." He spits at her feet and prepares to ride off into the distance...

[Neela Takee]

She watched the Aznuri, fair she considered.

[Sinnya]

"What are you going to do with her?"

Sinnya watched Ru'ni depart with a pang of worry, one hand half-upraised and both lekku shivering nervously. He had a point, but also, she presumed the Jedi had to have some kind of way to deal with their own who betrayed the tribe. The Sith devil seemed to be one of them, or formerly one of them, which made her fate their business--at least partly. And if her remorse was genuine, she was already one up on the woman formerly known as Sister Tirali.

Sinnya tried to read Neela's emotions, but the bitter smoke of Ru'ni's anger still clouded the air so strongly it was all she could taste.

"What are you going to do with her?"

Petrus was silent for a few moments. "I don't know." He said. "Master Hin might know. Or even Master Surro."

His words were mostly for the others, but he looked at Neela when he spoke, his blue eyes gentle. "But to turn from the Dark Side, as she's done, requires a tremendous act. And facing the consequences of your actions. Jedi are kinda big on that. It's... something, anyway." He grimaced, shaking his head. If someone killed Jenna, Xanna, Liua, Dove, Mia, what would he want them to do to make up for it? It wasn't something he could imagine.

[Sinnya]

"That senile hologram?" Sinnya sounded skeptical at the mention of Master Surro, frowning as she punched in the last commands to beam out the Message of Hope? "I doubt it. Is this Master Hin... a good judge?" Will he care enough about what happened to my people?

She hit the last key with a final-sounding thump. "Done. It's out."
